Girls’ social circles are always diverse, and although Zhuo Yuqing doesn’t post very often, she posts at least twice a month, with over half of the content related to her brother.

"Brother bought a big doll today. I’m going to sleep hugging it tonight." Below the text, there’s a photo of her holding the doll, with half her face showing.

"Brother is coming back tomorrow. So happy, ti suddenly feels so slow. I wonder what gift he’ll bring ."

Besides posting about her brother, the most frequent posts are lancholic and sad musings. A girl posting such things is undoubtedly in love; likely with soone she can’t express her feelings for, or soone who already has soone else, or soone she shouldn’t love.

Bai Chengxi turned off his phone, suddenly feeling very agitated, and started smoking to distract himself but ended up feeling even more irritable.

The assistant knocked on the door and waited quite a while before hearing a response.

"Mr. Bai, it’s ti for the eting." The assistant gently reminded him.

"Mm." Bai Chengxi put down his phone, "Make a cup of coffee."

"Alright, Mr. Bai."

Bai Chengxi entered the conference room, with everyone present, and his assistant placed the coffee in front of him and sat down on the side.

The New Year was approaching, and the workload at the year’s end was exceptionally heavy, with managers from various departnts giving consecutive reports.

Bai Chengxi was distracted twice during the eting; the first ti thinking about Zhuo Yuqing’s posts, and the second ti about the fish dish she was going to make tonight.

Zhuo Yuqing was cautious this ti; after writing all her news drafts, she didn’t upload them to the review departnt but took them directly to the editor-in-chief’s office.

Just as Zhuo Yuqing was about to knock, Tong Bi stepped out from the office. Seeing her, Tong Bi gave an indifferent smile and snidely remarked, "You shouldn’t always run to the editor-in-chief’s office; flattery won’t get you as far as genuine work."

"Oh really? Is visiting the editor-in-chief’s office flattery? Have you done enough of that?" Zhuo Yuqing retorted unapologetically.

"Zhuo Yuqing, don’t be ungrateful. What could you possibly have? During your ti here, have you ever made a lead headline?"

"Not in the past, but that’s about to change," Zhuo Yuqing t her gaze, "just wait and see."

"How is that possible? Do you have news bigger than Chi Ming’s affair?" Tong Bi crossed her arms and scoffed, "Don’t overestimate yourself."

"I told you to wait and see."

"What is the news exactly?" Perhaps because she was very serious, Tong Bi also grew anxious.

"Are you annoying or what? Move aside, don’t block my way ’to flatter’." Zhuo Yuqing pushed her aside and entered the editor-in-chief’s office directly.

Outside the door, a resentful Tong Bi twirled her eyes and pressed her ear against the door to eavesdrop.

The editor-in-chief looked up and glanced at Zhuo Yuqing, "Yuqing, what is it? If it’s about this morning’s issue, no need to ntion it."

"Editor, do you want to make the headlines again?" Zhuo Yuqing placed the docunts on the editor’s desk.

"What news do you have?" The editor looked up skeptically.

"You’ll know when you see it." Zhuo Yuqing pointed to the docunts on her desk.

The editor put down the pen, picked up the docunts, and after reading through, could not contain the excitent on her face, almost slapping the table as she spoke, "This is great. I’ll have it imdiately released; this is definitely another big news, a big twist, haha, both the big news pieces are exclusives from our magazine."

"Editor, this ti I personally handed the materials directly to you; let’s not let certain people take advantage of the situation," Zhuo Yuqing said as she glanced back subtly, knowing Tong Bi’s nature, she was probably eavesdropping at the door.

"Yuqing, there are so things I won’t turn a blind eye to, but I hope you can understand, after all, this magazine isn’t just mine alone," the editor spoke earnestly and sighed, "Don’t worry, your na will definitely be credited this ti."

"Then thank you, editor."

Zhuo Yuqing pushed the door as she reached the entrance and sure enough, saw Tong Bi standing outside, pretending she was just passing by. Zhuo Yuqing glanced at her without saying a word and headed back to her desk.

However, Tong Bi wasn’t as calm, she hadn’t overheard anything, only that they kept ntioning big news, wondering desperately what it could possibly be.
