Zhuo Yuqing returned to the seat previously occupied by Tang Tianyou. Just as a waiter was about to clear the table, she mimicked Tang Tianyou’s manner and said to him, "Bring two bottles of your best wine."

The waiter looked at the girl in front of him with her ponytail and dressed in sportswear, appearing underage, and kindly reminded her, "Miss, are you alone? Don’t you have friends with you? If you’re alone, you should hurry ho. Your parents will be worried."

"You think I look young too?" Zhuo Yuqing, fuming, picked up the glass Tang Tianyou had drunk from and brought the remaining half glass of wine to her lips. She barely took a sip before coughing and tearing up from the choke, yet she stubbornly closed her eyes and downed it all in one go.

"Cough cough." Zhuo Yuqing covered her mouth, coughing loudly—it was her first ti drinking. Normally, she saw others enjoy their drinks with such ease, not realizing it was not the case at all—it was spicy, bitter, and only slightly sweet, truly very nasty.

The waiter handed her a tissue, "Miss, you should really go ho."

"Are you worried I don’t have money for the drinks?" Zhuo Yuqing pulled out her wallet, extracting a card, "Here, this should be enough for two bottles, right?"

The waiter took it and was shocked, it was a black card, limited issuance, not sothing you could own just by having money. He took another look at this young girl, unable to guess her background, probably a rich family’s child.

The waiter had no choice but to get two bottles of wine.

Zhuo Yuqing was already feeling dizzy, and after rubbing her eyes, she could clearly see the person in front of her. She wasn’t accustod to drinking, and now, holding the glass Tang Tianyou had used, her gaze seed vacant. The waiter opened the wine and tried to offer her a new glass, but she shook her head: "This is my brother’s glass."

Brother? Why did it have to be Tang Tianyou as her brother? It’d be much better if they were just ordinary friends, then she could boldly pursue him, and even if he rejected her, it wouldn’t matter.

But what could being just friends change? The one her brother liked was Qili; he had said besides Qili he wouldn’t marry any other woman in this lifeti.

She had silently loved him for so many years, only to watch helplessly as he wallowed in pain, unable to even offer him comfort.

Zhuo Yuqing couldn’t stop the tears from falling more and more, so she picked up the glass and drank another.

After the waiter tried to persuade her a few tis and failed, he stood up and walked away. As soon as he left, Zhuo Yuqing realized the alcohol in her glass was gone. She searched around the table but her vision was blurry, and she couldn’t find the bottle.

She shakily stood up, just as soone walked by, she grabbed the sleeve of that person, "Why did you run off? Pour so wine."

The person she caught didn’t quite feel the sa as the waiter from before.

Without thinking too much, Zhuo Yuqing grasped his arm and dragged him into the booth, pointed at the table and said with a beaming smile, "Pour the wine."

The executives behind Bai Chengxi were still not over their shock. They were here to have drinks at the bar, and suddenly, Bai Chengxi was being dragged away by a young girl who mistook him for a waiter, and Bai Chengxi didn’t even lose his temper, just let her hold his arm.

Bai Chengxi looked down at the girl in front of him, her simple ponytail, green sportswear, delicate body, and pretty face, a visage that was hard to forget, especially now with her cheeks glowing pink and her drunken, hazy eyes, innocently seductive, igniting a heat within him.

"What are you staring at, pour the wine," Zhuo Yuqing shook his arm again, her hands soft and small, carrying a gentle warmth.

Bai Chengxi sat down at the table, picked up a wine bottle, and filled her glass.

The executives at the side were astounded; this man, who wielded so much power in the entertainnt industry, was actually pouring wine for a young girl, what was happening?

Zhuo Yuqing’s glass was full again, and she imdiately cheered up like a child, raising her glass to him, "Cheers."

Bai Chengxi grabbed a clean glass for himself and poured so wine,

He could tell she was drunk.

Zhuo Yuqing only drank half and then felt a surge in her stomach. She covered her mouth, looking like she was going to throw up, and Bai Chengxi quickly kicked a trash can over to her,

The faces of the executives turned pale, expecting Bai Chengxi to explode with anger, but instead, the man took out a handkerchief and wiped the girl’s mouth, "You’re drunk, where do you live? I’ll take you ho."

"Where do I live?" Zhuo Yuqing had no idea she had vomited on him, blinked her eyes, still clinging to his neck, "Yes, where do I live? I’m from A-city, where do I live?"

Bai Chengxi: "You’re from A-city?"

"Right, I rember now, I live in Fujia Garden, yes, Fujia Garden." As if she recalled sothing exciting, she jumped up joyfully.

"Then I’ll take you back to Fujia Garden."

Bai Chengxi scooped her up in his arms and said to several astonished bosses, "Excuse , this al is on , please enjoy yourselves."

After saying that, he carried the thoroughly drunken Zhuo Yuqing out of the bar, not forgetting to drape her bag over his arm as they left.

Bai Chengxi admitted, his intentions were very straightforward when he decided to take her ho,

She repeatedly recited her ho address in the car,

He delivered her to her ho, fished out the keys from her bag to open the door, and placed her directly on the bed, then he took off his jacket and threw it into the trash before heading to the bathroom to shower.

This was a girl’s room, with everything adorned in bright and cute colors, even the toilet was fitted with a cartoon toilet cover – judging from the decor style, she must be quite young.

After taking a shower and cleaning off the vomit sll from his body, Bai Chengxi returned to the bedroom only to find Zhuo Yuqing leaning over the side of the bed vomiting again. Seeing the ss on the floor, Bai Chengxi felt like turning around and leaving.

He had never been the kind type, nor a good person, and his intention for coming today was very clear; yet facing this tender ’prey’, he couldn’t bring himself to take advantage, and now he found himself cleaning up her ss.

Bai Chengxi had lived for thirty years, and this was the first ti he was ever outdone by a woman.

He washed a towel for her to wipe her face and helped her sit up to rinse her mouth with so water,

She really was a young girl, probably very reliant on her elder brother usually.

He lay down beside her, simply holding her, doing nothing else.

Zhuo Yuqing dreamt of her childhood, always following her elder brother around, playing. Although he was reluctant to play with such a little pest, he endured it for her sake.

Once, in a hurry for a date with a girl, he bought her a lollipop and asked her to wait on a park bench, saying he would return when the lollipop was finished.

Eager for her brother to co back quickly, Zhuo Yuqing quickly crunched up and ate the lollipop, but her brother didn’t show up. She waited tirelessly until sunset, and still, her brother didn’t appear until her mother found her, and she burst into tears in her mother’s arms, claiming her brother didn’t want her anymore.

Her brother was scolded for this incident, but rather than resenting her, he began to bring her along everywhere, even to his dates where she would sit aside eating.

He said, "Qingzi, brother will never leave you, I will protect you for a lifeti."

Zhuo Yuqing woke up from her dream, her fair face tear-streaked. She clumsily wiped her tears, stared blankly at the ceiling for a while, turned over, and suddenly saw an unfamiliar face.

The face was exceedingly handso, as if sculpted by divine skill, with every detail perfected, especially his peaceful and warm appearance as he slept.

Even such a flawlessly handso face couldn’t stop Zhuo Yuqing’s scream.

Bai Chengxi even suspected that the entire Fujia District’s residents had heard that horrendous scream.

He opened his eyes, his handso brow furrowed slightly: "You ant to call for , right?"

Zhuo Yuqing sat up, covering her mouth, looked at him for a mont then lay back down and closed her eyes again.

This must be a dream, surely it’s a dream, otherwise why would there be a strange man beside her when she woke up,

Wake up, wake up.

Seeing her tightly shut eyes and mumbling lips, Bai Chengxi couldn’t help but chuckle, propped up one arm, leisurely curling up the corners of his mouth.

Zhuo Yuqing opened her eyes again, eting Bai Chengxi’s sowhat teasing gaze; her mind buzzed, blanked out, it wasn’t a dream.

"Is there food in the fridge? I’m a bit hungry."
