On the way to the hospital, he received a call from his bodyguard.
Tang Tianyou hurried to the hospital; two doctors were surrounding Gu Qili’s bed.
"Qili." Tang Tianyou rushed to the bed, his gaze sweeping to the side—where the stroller had been was now empty. His heart dropped inch by inch, falling into an abyss without a bottom.
"Doctor, what happened?"
"The patient was exposed to ether and has fallen unconscious. Luckily, the dose wasn’t large. Mr. Tang, would you like to use an awakening agent?"
"Use it." Tang Tianyou answered without hesitation; only by waking Gu Qili would he know what had happened.
The doctor went to prepare the injection. The two bodyguards stood by, sowhat panicked. Tang Tianyou suddenly turned to look at them, his gaze cold and daunting—a frostiness that could send shivers down one’s spine. It was easy to forget that he was the casino king of Aus City, a man who struck fear in both the underworld and law-abiding citizens, given how tender he usually was with Gu Qili.
"Speak, what happened?" His grim voice made the bodyguards’ spines chill.
One of them mustered the courage to say, "Just now a nurse said the young master was feeling a bit ill and needed to be checked, so we sent two people to follow them. But those two have not yet returned."
"What about the nanny?"
"We found the nanny unconscious behind a partition in the hot water room just now."
"And that nurse?"
"We checked already. She really is a nurse from the station, and there was nothing out of the ordinary before the incident. However, she has run away."
"Then go look for them, what are you dawdling here for?" Tang Tianyou roared, almost apoplectic with rage.
Upon hearing this, the two bodyguards swiftly fled as if sliding on grease.
Tang Tianyou rubbed his temples, looking at the still unconscious Gu Qili, his handso face filled with guilt.
It was his fault. He should have been with her every mont, never leaving her side. He truly wished he could slap himself twice right now.
The doctor had prepared the dicine and quickly walked in. After getting Tang Tianyou’s consent, they injected Gu Qili with the awakening agent.
Since the dose of ether wasn’t high, Gu Qili woke up half an hour later. She opened her eyes to see the doctors and an anxious Tang Tianyou by her bed. Her brain seed still unable to snap out of the prior shock but within half a minute, she suddenly sat up, her face as pale as paper, her hands tightly clutching Tang Tianyou’s arm.
"Tianyou, please find Niannian, please bring Niannian back." She said while tears stread down her face, her blood-drained lips trembling nonstop, her eyes filled with pleading as she looked at Tang Tianyou, "Tianyou, I beg of you, if Niannian is gone... if Niannian is gone..."
Tang Tianyou suddenly leaned in and embraced her, holding her waist tightly. She was so thin, still skinny even after having a child; he could feel her helplessness and sadness. Her pain was his, and her will was the goal of his life.
"Qili, I’m going to find Niannian right now. Just wait for here." He gently dabbed the tears from her face with his fingers, his gaze steady and resolute, "Wait for ."
After speaking, Tang Tianyou instructed the doctor briefly, then rushed out the door in haste.
Tang Tianyou erged from the hospital entrance, his hands sweaty as he gripped his keys.
There were hardly any clues about tonight’s incident. He didn’t even know who took the child or their motive. With the vast sea of people, where would he find Niannian?
He pulled out his cell phone, quickly dialing so friends in the area, asking them to mobilize all their forces in a citywide search for a newborn.
After making the calls, Tang Tianyou received another one. He answered to hear a bodyguard’s weak voice speaking rapidly, "Boss Tang, North Bridge."
"North Bridge?"
"Yes. I was following that nurse and the young master to the examination room, but as soon as we entered, we were ambushed. I passed out but ca to shortly because it was a light hit. Then, I heard one of those people co back talking on the phone. My head hurt so bad, I couldn’t hear clearly, but in the end, he ntioned North Bridge."
"Got it."
Tang Tianyou hung up, a flicker of hope surging in his heart. He started the car and floored the accelerator, speeding towards North Bridge.

Mu Shuoqian’s black rcedes was driving on the streets of Aus City at night. It was not yet eleven o’clock, not many cars on the road, but also not few. With sirens blaring and no sign of slowing down, the car wove through traffic, constantly courting danger.
"You maniac, in a rush to reincarnate?" So drivers, nearly scraped by him, couldn’t help but stick their heads out and curse loudly.
Mu Shuoqian ignored them, solely concerned about his child’s safety. He thought she hated him to the bone, but she actually left the child with him—a divine blessing and a punishnt as well.
If only he had known sooner about the child, this accident wouldn’t have happened. If he had continued to watch over her from the shadows, she wouldn’t have suffered such misfortune. All his fault, entirely his fault. He shouldn’t have completely let go. He shouldn’t have placed all his hopes on Tang Tianyou.
Suddenly thinking of sothing, Mu Shuoqian steered the car with one hand while dialing a number with the other.
Shortly, the call connected, and the person on the other end said "Shuoqian." Mu Shuoqian bit his teeth and said, "If you still recognize as your son, give back my child."
Before Qiu Lan could ask how he knew, a heavy truck shot out in front of Mu Shuoqian’s rcedes. The blinding lights flashed before him, and instinctively closing his eyes, his black rcedes crashed into the moving truck like a falling star.
After a loud bang, the world fell silent.
