After Mu Shuoqian left, Gu Qili cleaned up the dining table. As she wiped the table, she saw the golden card with the VIP inscription. She guessed there must be a lot of money in it, anything less than eight figures would be a slap to Mu Shuoqian’s face. Since there’s so much money, why not secretly spend it all? Haha.

Gu Qili rolled her eyes at herself and quietly pocketed the card, placing it in the innermost compartnt of her wallet.

He was right, living here would certainly incur expenses. She was still a student with no inco, her family would not give her money anymore. Every cent she spent was either saved from before or from scholarships earned later. Currently focusing on her studies, she hadn’t taken up a job, facing endless tests and also participating in competitions organized by the school, truly leaving her no ti.

However, she was about to graduate soon and decided to look for a decent job after graduation.

Accustod to living frugally, even with Mu Shuoqian’s card, Gu Qili did not order takeout but reheated the leftover Xiao Mi porridge from the morning, and made a simple stir-fried egg with tomatoes for a al.

In the evening, Mu Shuoqian sent a ssage saying he was dining with a client at Pujing Hotel and it would probably end at eight o’clock.

He never calls her, no matter how important the matter, always texting instead, as if he was reluctant to hear her voice.

Gu Qili was still working on her papers, hadn’t had dinner yet, glanced at the clock, it was six-thirty. It would take an hour to get to the downtown area from here, plus the ti lost in traffic. Leaving now, she would probably arrive on ti at eight.

She put on the clothes she had washed the night before, and wiped her sneakers with a wet towel.

Because it was a sudden visit, she didn’t bring any change of clothes. When Mu Shuoqian was not around, she secretly wore his pajamas, which he seed to despise after lending it to her once and never asked for it back, hanging squarely in the bedroom closet, conveniently available for her.

Gu Qili thought to herself, she definitely needed to bring a few change of clothes next ti she visited.

Mu Shuoqian’s mood was really unpredictable nowadays, he would be imnsely irritated at tis, as if he couldn’t bear to look at her another second, but sotis, he gave her the illusion that he quite relied on her.

Thinking back, it seed like he had this annoying temperant since the mont she t him.

Truly an enigmatic personality.

Gu Qili drove his flashy Maybach 62, speeding along the night-ti roads, with soothing music quietly flowing in the narrow space. The car was returned to the garage by Yuan Yi at noon, after which he left in another vehicle.

She arrived at Pujing Hotel at seven-thirty, half an hour before the ti he ntioned. Gu Qili didn’t want to sit in the car stifling, so she took the keys and got out, sitting boredly at the flowerbed in front of the hotel.

This was the biggest five-star hotel in Aus City, its torch-like architecture also a landmark of Aus City. However, due to the expensive pricing, many people could only walk around and look, like those tourists in front holding caras.

The restaurant Mu Shuoqian was dining in was the French restaurant on the ground floor. Across the table sat a blonde-haired, blue-eyed foreigner, hands clasped together against his chin, chatting away at him.

Mu Shuoqian seed uninterested, cutting his foie gras, half-listening, until he turned head and his gaze unintentionally fell on the familiar figure by the flowerbed.

She was still in her school uniform from yesterday, a white T-shirt, A-line skirt, and clean white sneakers.

The street lights in front of the hotel were as bright as day, even a bit glaring. She had headphones on, her eyes slightly closed, walking back and forth under this dazzling light, with her rosy lips moving slightly.

Nerd, morizing words again.
