"Why are you here?"

He lifted his eyelids with disdain, mocking, "This is my house."

"..."

Her face flushed, but she soon pointed boldly at his seat: "Have you been sitting here all night?"

He glanced at her sideways, his lips pressed tight, showing no sign of wanting to answer.

The air around Gu Qili softened; there was a pallor to his face that seed darker under his eyes.

"You didn’t sleep at all last night, did you?"

He scoffed lightly, his mouth curving into an indifferent smirk; clearly, she had hit the nail on the head, but his pride was feigning toughness, almost like a big child sulking with her.

"Co on, tell , did you stay up all night?"

He cast her another indifferent glance, "Stomachache."

So painful that he couldn’t sleep.

Maybe it was an illusion, but Gu Qili felt that he looked a bit pitiful right now, exuding an endearing compliance that made people want to pamper him. However, she blinked and saw before her a face that was seventy percent cold and thirty percent indifferent, nothing like the pitiful look she imagined. She must have been dizzy from getting up too early to pee.

"I’ll cook." Living under soone else’s roof, one naturally needed to be mindful of contributing through work, especially since this was a very difficult person to please, a true mama’s boy.

"Like yesterday."

"What?" He muttered confusedly. Gu Qili didn’t catch on for a while, and by the ti she wanted to ask for clarification, he had already lied down on the couch. His tall figure almost perfectly matched the length of the couch. A cushion covered his head, and his feet rested together, lazily exuding a vibe of "I’m going to sleep, and whoever disturbs will pay."

Gu Qili had to zip it, but she quickly understood what he ant. He wanted the sa al as last night.

If you’d just speak properly, would it kill you?

The porridge was still stewing in the pot, and the side dishes were ready. While she had a mont to spare, she walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, drawing the curtains back to look out over an empty plot of dirt.

Because it was the ground floor unit, each household had their own little private garden. While others’ fronts were full of lush trees and flowers, neatly tended, outside Mu Shuoqian’s ho, not even a bird would want to co poop.

"This man’s personal life is too lazy, too casual," Gu Qili criticized internally as she stretched lazily, sat down with her legs curled, and simultaneously practiced difficult yoga poses and quietly morized vocabulary words.

Mu Shuoqian was not asleep. After turning over a couple of tis and tossing the cushion onto the carpet in irritation, he sat up straight and casually glanced out the window just in ti to see Gu Qili with her legs straight up, upper body bending down, hands hugging her calves, forehead pressing tightly against her thighs, which made her legs look even longer and straighter. Her skirt had nearly slid up to the top of her thighs, revealing a hint of her sexy, perky buttocks, white as freshly stead buns.

Her face resting against her legs, she was still softly reciting words, completely unaware that Mu Shuoqian had approached her from behind.

It wasn’t until his hard pelvis pressed against her bottom, the bulge rubbing against her, and his hands naturally resting on her waist, that she realized sothing was off. His actions looked like they were straight out of a not-safe-for-children activity, and moreover, they were of a highly acclaid pose.

"What are you doing?" A hot sensation at her waist and an additional nudge on her bottom.

Gu Qili’s face blushed as she quickly stood up and hopped forward, pressing her skirt down with one hand and warily looking at him.

Mu Shuoqian calmly t her gaze, his brows slightly furrowed together, and with an innocent face, he said, "I thought you couldn’t stand up."

Gu Qili: "..."

Was he implying he was helping her?
