Mu Shuoqian had been in a eting the entire afternoon while Gu Qili had already taken a nap on the couch. When she woke up, she found herself covered with a thin n’s jacket, still carrying his distinctive scent.

Mu Shuoqian was still sitting in front of the computer, scanning the docunts in his hand while listening to the reports from the senior executives in the video. When he saw her wake up, he couldn’t help but glance over.

Gu Qili rubbed her eyes, hugged his jacket tighter, and snuggled back into the couch. She gave him a small wave and mouthed for him to carry on.

Mu Shuoqian suddenly put down the docunts and pressed the intercom, instructing in a calm voice: "Bring in the afternoon tea."

The company executives on the video call were all a bit surprised. The President was always most rigorous during etings—why would he suddenly crave afternoon tea, especially since he didn’t usually have a fondness for sweet treats.

Soon, the secretary ca in holding a delivery bag. Receiving an indicating look from Mu Shuoqian, he respectfully placed the afternoon tea on the coffee table in front of Gu Qili.

A glance or two at her was inevitable during the process. As the first woman who could enter the 24th floor and lounge leisurely in the President’s office, her looks were impeccable.

Gu Qili happened to be hungry, mainly bored and idle.

The afternoon tea that the secretary bought was exquisite, all her favorite desserts. The array of sweets was so tantalizing that just looking at their color and softness made your mouth water.

Gu Qili munched on the pastries while reading a book, and Mu Shuoqian continued his eting. Although both were busy with their own things, they occasionally looked up at each other. After a gentle smile, they would focus back on their tasks.

It wasn’t until the evening that Mu Shuoqian’s eting finally concluded. He stood up, ca over next to her, and glanced at the book in her hands, "Isn’t it dull?"

This complicated theory about wines did seem a bit tedious; it really needed to be applied in practice to arouse interest.

He pulled the book from her hands, asking: "Where do you want to go for dinner tonight?"

He used to be autocratic and never sought her opinion for such matters, but now, he seed to enjoy asking her preferences more and more.

Gu Qili thought no matter where they ate, there would be irrelevant outsiders disturbing them. She preferred a world that belonged to just the two of them.

"I want to eat at ho."

He watched her for a while, then nodded: "Okay."

That suited him just fine, the old fox smiled cryptically.

The two went to the market together to buy groceries. Seeing her hands full of large and small packages, Mu Shuoqian, looking ever so dashing, unusually took all her burdens. Him carrying various plastic bags was quite a mismatched sight but heartwarmingly sincere.

With her hands empty, Gu Qili requested to carry one or two of the lighter bags, but he refused and continued walking ahead.

Back ho, Gu Qili headed straight into the kitchen to prepare dinner. While making soup, she also prepared a few sandwiches to put in the fridge. When she wasn’t around, he would surely forget to eat breakfast again. The sandwiches were left for him.

The al was almost ready when the doorbell suddenly rang. Knowing Mu Shuoqian was in the bathroom, Gu Qili quickly wiped her hands on the apron and ran to answer the door.

As she opened the door, she froze, mouth agape, at the sight of several tall n standing outside, sowhat panicked and at a loss for words.

"Qili, not welcoming us? I brought hairy crabs," Leng Shaoqing lifted the bag in his hand, the rustling sound inside making it clear that the crabs were still lively and kicking.

The crabs from Xiangshan Club were famously fresh, tender, and plump.

Gu Qili quickly stepped aside from the door, her smile a bit strained as she said: "Please co in."

Then a line of strikingly handso n entered one after another, with Bai Chengxi carrying two bottles of red wine.

Gu Qili took the crabs and wine, "Make yourselves comfortable, I’ll, I’ll go make you so tea."

She hadn’t expected these n to co, truly with no ntal preparation, she clumsily headed back to the kitchen.

"Qili, didn’t expect that you’ve moved in together?" Nan Zhan’s teasing voice ca from behind her, causing her to nearly slip and fall.

She felt utterly embarrassed now, facing these clever n, she seed like an ignorant young girl.

"None of your damn business." Finally disturbed, the man erged from the door, his loungewear still accentuating his tall figure and extraordinary aura. His presence instantly lowered the pressure in the living room to its minimum.

"This is good news; you should’ve told your brothers ahead of ti, so we could have co to celebrate!" Nan Zhan wasn’t the least bit intimidated, promptly helping himself to the cigarettes on the table and distributing them, and thus the n gathered began puffing away.
