Manman picked up the pillow behind her and threw it at Chu Ci, "Just wait until I’m healed and see how I deal with you, damn Chu Ci."
"I’m afraid by then you’ll be thanking ."
Manman opened her mouth, but before she could speak, Feng Yi ca in carrying a al. He looked at the pillow on the floor, then glanced at Manman, whose expression wasn’t great, and asked Han Xi, "Little Sister-in-law, what’s going on?"
"It’s nothing, they were just play-fighting. Since you’re back, Chu Ci and I will leave first, we’ll co by again tomorrow morning."
Feng Yi bent down to pick up the pillow from the floor, "Be careful on your way."
Manman watched as Han Xi and Chu Ci really left like that, and started to doubt if their friendship was just superficial. Was it really that much trouble just to help with a bath, with all those excuses?
Feng Yi placed the paper bag in his hand on the table, turned around, and looked at the girl, "What’s going on?"
"Nothing." Manman took the pillow from Feng Yi’s hand, hesitated for a few seconds, and finally spoke up, "Could you help find a caregiver to co, I want to take a shower."
After all, it’s midsumr, and even with the air conditioning on, you still need a shower.
Feng Yi sat down beside the hospital bed, held Manman’s face in his hands, "Honey, don’t always be so distant with . I know you’ve lost your mory now, and I shouldn’t push you, but seeing you deliberately keeping your distance from , it really hurts."
Manman looked at Feng Yi’s handsoly persistent face, trying hard to recall the events between them, but no matter how hard she tried, even a fragnt or a single word wouldn’t co back to her.
Manman frowned, rubbing her head wrapped in bandages. The more she thought, the more it hurt, as if her head was going to split open.
"What’s wrong, is it a headache? I’ll call the doctor over right away."
Feng Yi anxiously pressed the button on the bedside several tis, and a couple of minutes later, the doctor and nurse arrived, "Miss Li, what’s bothering you?"
"My head really hurts, I just tried to rember things from before, but the more I thought, the more my head started to hurt."
The doctor bent down to examine Manman, "If it hurts, don’t force yourself to rember, it’s detrintal to your recovery."
"We understand, doctor. We won’t anymore." Feng Yi looked at Manman with distress, "Her head really hurts right now, do you think so dication is necessary to relieve it?"
"No need, it should stop hurting soon. Let her lie down and rest well, and if there’s anything, call over."
After speaking, the doctor and nurse left.
Feng Yi helped Manman lie down on the bed, lovingly caressing her hair, "Silly girl, if you can’t rember, don’t force it. At worst, I’ll just have to court you all over again, and I’m sure I’ll make you fall in love with again."
Manman shifted her body slightly, lifted her head to look at Feng Yi, "I’m sorry, I don’t know why I can’t rember you."
"Why say sorry, it’s not like you did it on purpose. If you could choose, I believe I’m the last person you’d want to forget."
"Alright, you rest for a while, and if your head still hurts, I’ll call the doctor."
Feng Yi held Manman’s hand while sitting on the chair, his deep dark eyes filled with profound affection and pain.
The girl didn’t speak anymore, slowly closing her eyes, her dense eyelashes casting a beautiful shadow over her skin.
