Despite feeling a massive rage inside, Gu Nanxi still suppressed it: "He should leave exactly the way he ca, if that doesn’t work then let Assistant Wang co and pick him up."
Gu Nanxi was afraid she’d lose patience on the way and hit him.
Zhong Li certainly couldn’t feel at ease letting Qi Shangyu go ho alone, so he could only pick up his phone and call Assistant Wang. The call was quickly answered on the other end: "What’s going on for you to call so late?"
"President Qi is at my place right now, he’s had too much to drink, can you co and pick him up?"
"Whoa, how did President Qi end up at your house, and what about President Gu?"
Assistant Wang imdiately perked up, unable to resist the urge to gossip.
"Stop asking so many questions and hurry over." With that, Zhong Li hung up the phone.
Assistant Wang quickly changed clothes, grabbed his car keys, and headed out the door. Just look at him, having such a difficult job, cleaning up after the boss gets drunk.
The car soon parked in Zhong Li’s apartnt complex. Assistant Wang got out of the car and dashed to the elevator, eager to uncover the gossip.
Erging from the elevator, Assistant Wang rang the doorbell, while Zhong Li, in the dining room, poured a glass of water for Qi Shangyu and went to open the door.
"Where’s President Qi, how’s he doing?"
"He’s drunk, not in a good state. You better take him ho." Zhong Li moved aside to let Assistant Wang in.
Assistant Wang nodded and walked in, spotting Qi Shangyu in the living room with a swollen lip and glanced at the dark-faced Gu Nanxi sitting opposite. Assistant Wang instantly imagined the previous scenario.
He leaned over to Zhong Li’s ear, speaking in a voice only they could hear: "Did President Qi overstep with you earlier, is that why he got hit?"
"You’re overthinking it, quickly get President Qi ho."
Zhong Li shot an impatient look at Assistant Wang, how could he still think about gossip in such a tense mont...
Assistant Wang disappointedly shrugged his shoulders, thinking there might have been so gossip after all.
"President Qi, let take you ho." Assistant Wang respectfully said to the living room.
Qi Shangyu was much clearer now, he set down the water glass and got up from the sofa, heading outside.
Assistant Wang nodded at Gu Nanxi, then followed behind to leave as well.
After seeing them off, Zhong Li sat down next to Gu Nanxi: "Don’t quarrel with soone who’s drunk, give him so ti, he’ll co around."
"What people do when they’re drunk is a true reflection of their inner thoughts."
Gu Nanxi didn’t think Qi Shangyu would accept this fact easily.
Zhong Li also didn’t want to defend Qi Shangyu, especially since he was really a bit excessive earlier, particularly after knowing their relationship.

The atmosphere in the car was stifling to the point of being suffocating, Assistant Wang glanced through the rearview mirror at the sullen-faced Qi Shangyu, scared to even breathe.
Assistant Wang privately speculated that their President Qi must have acted out with Zhong Li while drunk and got hit by President Gu.
Qi Shangyu looked up at Assistant Wang, who nearly mistook the brake for the accelerator out of sheer anxiety.
The car stopped in front of Qi Shangyu’s villa, Assistant Wang quickly got out from the driver’s seat to open the car door for Qi Shangyu on the back seat.
Qi Shangyu’s head was pounding to the point of splitting, his stomach wasn’t well either, drinking all night without eating a bite.
