Zhong Li walked up to Qi Shangyu: "President Qi, I’m feeling a bit unwell and want to go ho and rest."
"What’s wrong? Did soone bully you?"
Qi Shangyu looked pointedly at Gu Nanxi beside him.
Assistant Wang ca over with Zhong Li’s phone, puzzled, he asked, "How did you change your clothes so quickly?"
"I’m not feeling well, I’m leaving first."
Zhong Li didn’t answer their questions, took her phone, and left, her expression gloomy, stepping away in high heels.
Qi Shangyu stepped forward a few paces and grabbed Gu Nanxi by the collar: "Did you bully her, huh?"
Gu Nanxi pried his hand away, ignoring him, walked past Qi Shangyu, and spoke to Assistant Cai beside him: "Have soone follow Zhong Li, I’m not comfortable with her going back alone."
"Okay, President Gu, I’ll arrange it right away."
Qi Shangyu recalled how Zhong Li seed lost and furious, looking at Gu Nanxi: "I’m asking you, did you bully her?"
"The matters between the two of us are not your concern, you’d best stay away from her."
Gu Nanxi’s deep voice carried a warning; he hated how Qi Shangyu kept hovering around Zhong Li, especially after they had just danced together.
"I brought Zhong Li here today, so it’s certainly my responsibility to ensure her safety."
Assistant Wang looked at the two, ready to fight, fearing they might really co to blows; the people here today were all business partners, and it would be extrely embarrassing.
Moreover, there was no need for a fight since their two companies had collaborations.
"Um, President Qi, President Gu, please calm down, Zhong Li surely doesn’t want any discord between you; let’s talk it out."
Assistant Wang tried to diate.
"Shut up." Qi Shangyu scolded, displeased.
Assistant Wang lowered his head, feeling wronged; what had he done to deserve this? Good intentions were treated poorly...
Gu Nanxi didn’t have ti to argue here, he walked to the lobby manager with his hands in his pockets: "I need to see all the surveillance video from the first-floor lobby."
Though hotel surveillance isn’t normally disclosed easily, Gu Nanxi’s request was granted by the lobby manager: "President Gu, please follow to the surveillance room."
Gu Nanxi nodded, and followed the lobby manager to the surveillance room.
Qi Shangyu overheard their conversation, he felt that Gu Nanxi checking the surveillance must be related to Zhong Li. Though he didn’t know what had just happened, he decided to follow.
Assistant Wang followed closely behind Qi Shangyu.
In the surveillance room, Gu Nanxi propped a hand on the table, his intense dark eyes fixed firmly on the monitor display.
After Zhong Li entered the washroom, Xia Mo followed her in. Ten minutes later, Xia Mo ca out, and then an unfamiliar man pushed open the door to the won’s washroom.
Watching the surveillance, Gu Nanxi’s eyes tightened, exuding a strong aura of hostility.
Qi Shangyu also saw the man enter the won’s washroom; without further questioning, everything beca apparent.
"Switch the footage to the woman who just ca out of the washroom."
Gu Nanxi’s low voice suddenly rang out, suspicious of Xia Mo.
"Okay, President Gu." The staff replied and imdiately switched the footage.
