She looked about the sa age as Song Yan, a charming and mature woman.
"I’m really sorry, but I don’t like sharing my phone number with strangers."
On the plane, this woman had a seat next to Song Yan, and she initiated a brief conversation with him, nothing more.
The woman turned her gaze to Zhuang Lian next to her: "Is this your girlfriend?"
"Sorry, we have sothing to attend to," Song Yan turned to Zhuang Lian: "Let’s go."
Zhuang Lian nodded, glancing back at the woman before leaving with Song Yan.
After getting in the car, Zhuang Lian leaned over to fasten her seatbelt, hesitating whether to ask who that woman was, but then feeling she had no right to interfere in his private life.
"Don’t you have to go to school today?" Song Yan asked, steering onto the main road.
"I knew you were coming back, so I took a day off."
Zhuang Lian leaned her head against the passenger seat, letting the breeze from the open window ruffle the strands of hair on her forehead.
Song Yan said nothing more, his eyes fixed ahead on the road.
The car quickly stopped in front of the villa. Song Yan got out and took out the luggage from the trunk, heading straight inside.
"Young master is back. Hello, Miss Zhuang," Aunt Li took the suitcase from Song Yan’s hand with a smile.
Shen Qiong, who had just co back from picking up the kids from kindergarten, saw Song Yan and rushed over: "Brother, why are you back?"
"I missed you so much, so I ca back," Song Yan said, smiling as he picked up the little one.
Shen Qiong put down her bag, noticing how Song Yan seed thinner: "Is the hospital very busy? You look like you’ve lost weight."
"It’s been quite busy, surgeries almost every day. Aunt, can you make sothing good for tonight?"
"Madam went to the market early this morning to buy lots of ingredients, saying young master was coming back, and she’d make more of your favorite dishes tonight."
Aunt Li said cheerfully, carrying Song Yan’s suitcase upstairs.
Shen Qiong took Zhuang Lian’s hand and sat on the living room sofa: "Lianlian, stay for dinner tonight. Auntie plans to cook personally."
Zhuang Lian glanced at Song Yan, then nodded with a smile: "Okay, thank you, Auntie."
Song Yan glanced at his watch: "Aunt, I have to head to the company right away."
"You just got back, why the rush? Go get so rest first."
"Dad called on the way, asking to go over now."
Song Mingyuan wants Song Yan to familiarize himself with the company business as soon as possible, so he can return to An City to help Han Xi with the children sooner.
Song Mingyuan feels he owes Han Xi too much and wants to make up for it as much as he can.
"Alright then, drive safely." Shen Qiong understood Song Mingyuan’s thoughts.
Song Yan put down little ng ng, giving her chubby cheek a gentle pinch: "Be a good girl at ho, okay?"
"I know," ng ng replied, enunciating clearly.
After Song Yan left, Shen Qiong held Zhuang Lian’s hand and said warmly: "Lianlian, Auntie knows you like Song Yan. He’s not going away again, so you two can have more ti together."
"I’ll try my best," she said.
Zhuang Lian has said she’ll wait until the day Song Yan gets married; if the bride isn’t her, she’ll let go.
