Lu Jinghan popped the plum candy into his mouth, moved his right hand from the steering wheel, and interlocked his fingers tightly with that girl’s hand.
Twenty minutes later, the car stopped at the old house. Inside, Housekeeper Li heard the sound of the car and hurried to open the door: "Young Master, Mada, you’re back."
Lu Jinghan nodded, changed into the slippers the servant brought over, and holding Han Xi’s hand, went to the living room.
"Where’s Grandpa?"
"Jing Han and Xiao Xi are back. Your grandpa is resting upstairs," Ji Qing said ingratiatingly.
Only Ji Qing and Lu Jingchen were in the living room, and Lu Jinghan didn’t even glance at them.
Housekeeper Li spoke with a complex expression: "The Old Master is resting in his room. He just said he’s not feeling too well."
"Let’s go see him." Lu Jinghan, holding Han Xi’s hand, headed upstairs, with Housekeeper Li following behind.
Ji Qing watched their departing figures, her face full of smiles instantly turning somber, and her eyes, as if poisoned, couldn’t hide the hatred.
In the bedroom, Old Sir Lu heard the sound of the door being pushed open, turned over and saw that Lu Jinghan and his wife had co. He lifted the quilt and sat up from the bed: "Why have you co?"
"Grandpa, didn’t we agree earlier that we would co today to take you to our place to celebrate the New Year? Did you forget?" Han Xi smiled as she sat beside the Old Sir.
Old Sir Lu thought carefully but had no impression: "Grandpa can’t rember too well."
Lu Jinghan stared at the Old Sir for a few seconds, then turned to ask Housekeeper Li: "What’s happening with Grandpa?"
"I’m also not too sure. These days, it’s been like this often. He can’t rember so things, and sotis he forgets what he just said."
"Did you ask Doctor Liu to co and take a look?" Lu Jinghan’s brows slightly furrowed.
Housekeeper Li glanced at the Old Sir on the bed: "I’ve ntioned to him to let Doctor Liu co over and have a look, but the Old Master said it’s just because he’s getting old, his mory isn’t good anymore, and it’s nothing serious."
This morning, Housekeeper Li was pondering whether to call Lu Jinghan. Now, the Old Sir only listens to the young couple.
Lu Jinghan took off the overcoat he was wearing, pulled his phone out of his trouser pocket, and dialed Doctor Liu’s number.
Twenty minutes later, Doctor Liu, carrying a dical kit, arrived. After greeting Ji Qing and the others in the living room, he went upstairs.
"President Lu, is the Old Sir experiencing any discomfort?" Doctor Liu asked as he put the dical kit on the table.
"Grandpa has been constantly forgetting things recently and says he’s not feeling well."
Doctor Liu adjusted the black fra on his nose and hesitated for a few seconds before speaking: "I suggest taking the Old Sir to the hospital for a comprehensive check-up."
Han Xi frowned, standing up from the bed: "Doctor Liu, are you suspecting that Grandpa has Alzheir’s disease?"
Doctor Liu nodded: "That possibility can’t be ruled out. How long has the Old Sir been experiencing this?"
"About two or three days. Sotis he forgets what he just said," Housekeeper Li looked at the Old Sir with worry, feeling very uncomfortable inside.
"Get to the hospital for an examination as soon as possible. The Old Sir’s condition is quite severe. Generally, if soone is just starting to develop Alzheir’s, the symptoms aren’t this frequent or obvious."
Lu Jinghan walked to the Old Sir’s side, leaned down, and patiently spoke: "Grandpa, you heard what Doctor Liu said, right? Let’s go to the hospital now for a check-up."
