After hanging up the phone, Han Xi lay on the bed for a while longer before going to the bathroom to wash her face.
When Lu Jinghan returned ho, Han Xi was sitting on the living room sofa watching TV, holding a small box of preserved plums, which she recently loved because of their sour taste.
Lu Jinghan changed his shoes at the entrance, took off his coat and hung it up, then strode over to the living room.
"I bought you a piece of cake on the way ho."
Lu Jinghan leaned down to place the strawberry cake he was holding on the coffee table, reaching out to pull Han Xi into his arms.
