"Okay." Lu Jinghan pressed his cheek against Han Xi’s head, his voice carrying a gentleness that no one else could receive.

The kitchen quickly prepared dinner and served it; Lu Jinghan had just asked for the dishes to be made lighter, and they were all foods that Han Xi usually liked.

Lu Jinghan helped Han Xi serve a bowl of seafood soup and placed it in front of her: "This soup was ordered by Sister Zhang over the phone; try it and see if the flavor is okay. The nutritionist will co over tomorrow."

"There’s no need for the nutritionist to co specially; actually, I’m not vomiting as badly now, I can eat anything."

"No way, you and Little Bun are more important than anything; I’m afraid the food won’t suit your taste. Co on, eat up."

Han Xi smiled lightly and nodded, feeling incredibly happy being pampered like a child.

After dinner, Han Xi walked to the bedside to check on the IV drip; it was almost finished. She bent down to remove the needle for Old Sir Lu, and perhaps feeling so pain, he opened his eyes.

"Grandpa, did I hurt you?" Han Xi took down the drip bottle and placed it on the bedside table.

"No, Grandpa just woke up."

Lu Jinghan got up from the sofa and walked over, looking at Old Sir Lu’s sowhat pale face, feeling uneasy: "Do you want to eat a bit more? Dinner is kept warm in the kitchen for you."

Old Sir Lu sat up in bed and waved his hand: "I’m not hungry yet, pour so water."

"Alright." Lu Jinghan walked to the side table, poured a glass of water, and handed it to Old Sir Lu: "You should eat a little at dinner, otherwise your health will suffer."

Old Sir Lu took the water cup from Lu Jinghan’s hand and drank a few sips, shaking his head heavily: "In a bit, I want to go see your second uncle first."

Lu Jinghan raised his hand to rub his brow and turned to Han Xi: "You go rest in the room first, I’ll co over later."

"Okay," Han Xi nodded: "Grandpa, I’ll go back to the room now."

"Go ahead, girl, you mustn’t tire yourself while pregnant."

Watching Han Xi leave, Lu Jinghan then helped Old Sir Lu out of bed, opened the door, and headed to the hall.

In the hall, only Ji Qing and her son were left. Lu Jingchen saw Old Sir Lu coming over and quickly walked up to support him: "Grandpa, why don’t you rest a little longer? We’re here with you."

"It’s okay, I just want to look at your dad a bit more."

Old Sir Lu sat in the chair, his eyes reddened, looking at Lu Qing An’s portrait, his heart nearly breaking: "Make ands properly with your elder brother and sister-in-law below, seek their forgiveness, and never make mistakes again."

"Dad, we truly know we’re wrong."

Ji Qing knelt in front of Old Sir Lu, looking utterly drained with a face pale as paper.

"Get up, don’t always kneel." Old Sir Lu let out a long sigh.

"Dad, in front of Qing’an, I beg you, beg you to let these two children work in the Lu Family, to support themselves independently; this is Qing’an’s last wish."

Old Sir Lu reluctantly held Lu Jinghan’s hand; his haggard face filled with helplessness: "Child, grandpa..."

Before Old Sir Lu finished his words, he started coughing, and Lu Jinghan frowned, gently patting his back: "I’ll help you upstairs to rest first; we’ll discuss this matter later."

"Dad, Jinghan, I beg you, please have rcy on our mother and children, let these two kids work at the Lu Family."
