The two of them changed their shoes at the entrance as Wen Yichen ca out of the bedroom.
"Yichen, we have sothing to do later, so we’ll be going out. You eat dinner by yourself."
Han Xi glanced at Wen Yichen and reminded him before heading upstairs to change clothes.
Wen Yichen’s cool face showed a slight furrow between his brows: "You’re not eating at ho again?"
Last night, Han Xi didn’t co back, which had already put Wen Yichen in a bad mood. Now hearing Han Xi say this, he suddenly lost his appetite.
Lu Jinghan stood at the staircase with a hand in his pocket, his thin lips slightly parted: "How about you co with us?"
Wen Yichen turned his head to look at Han Xi: "Can I go?"
"If you want to go, you can co with us."
"Alright, rember to take along when you leave."
Han Xi nodded with a gentle smile and headed upstairs. They had already wasted a lot of ti on the road, and if they dawdled any longer, they’d be late.
Han Xi went back to the bedroom to change clothes and quickly ca down the stairs. After greeting Sister Zhang, the three of them left together.
Twenty minutes later, the car stopped at an old residence. Lu Jinghan got out of the car and, holding Han Xi’s hand, walked briskly towards the house while Wen Yichen quietly followed behind.
After entering the house, a servant helped them change into slippers. Feeling a bit uneasy, Han Xi followed Lu Jinghan into the living room.
Su Zhenyuan, who was talking to Feng Yi and the others, saw Lu Jinghan co in and happily put down his tea: "You two are a bit late!"
Lu Jinghan led Han Xi to sit on the sofa and placed the tea he was holding on the table: "We were out buying a gift for you, that’s why we’re late."
Lu Jinghan knew Su Zhenyuan loved tea, so he had his assistant Xiao Zhang specially go to the mall to buy it in the afternoon.
"You’re the one who truly knows ," Su Zhenyuan said, his gaze falling on Han Xi: "Is this your beloved wife?"
Su Zhenyuan had heard from people in the military that the commander personally called Lu Jinghan at the ti, saying he wanted Han Xi’s help to find the distribution ledger for *items. Lu Jinghan refused outright without hesitation, with a very firm attitude, and it was Han Xi who eventually talked so sense into the stubborn boy.
Han Xi greeted Su Zhenyuan politely: "Hello, Uncle."
"Good, good, last ti the overseas incident was thanks to this girl, well done."
Su Luo had been sitting quietly beside Su Zhenyuan, yet her eyes constantly lingered on Lu Jinghan.
Han Xi noticed this but couldn’t say anything given the number of people present.
Today, not only had Su Zhenyuan invited Lu Jinghan and the others, but Lin Feng was also called over, saying everyone hadn’t seen each other for a long ti and today would be a good opportunity to chat.
Just coming out of the restroom, Chu Ci walked directly to sit next to Han Xi: "Why are you so late coming?"
"Got held up by sothing, why are you here too?"
Chu Ci leaned closer to Han Xi’s ear, speaking in a voice only the two of them could hear: "I was worried Su Luo and that annoying Lin Feng would bully you, so I ca with Fu Bin."
"I’m not that weak, I can handle it."
"Even Manman isn’t a match for that Su Luo, not to ntion now we’re in her house. Who knows what antics she’ll get up to?"
Chu Ci and Han Xi whispered to each other. Wen Yichen, who had been sitting quietly nearby, overheard most of their conversation. His cool gaze involuntarily turned towards Su Luo.
