Han Xi’s chin almost dropped to her collarbone in embarrassnt: "Actually, we haven’t discussed this kind of thing before. Let go first, I’ll take a shower."
Lu Jinghan’s hands were already restlessly exploring inside Han Xi’s clothes, his fingertips brushing against her skin, igniting her inch by inch like a wildfire.
"Jinghan, don’t... I want to take a shower first."
In Han Xi’s soft voice, there was a lingering hint of intoxication; her entire body was about to lt into a puddle.
"I’ll join you."
Lu Jinghan lifted Han Xi horizontally into his embrace and strode toward the bathroom.
After toiling away for nearly two hours, Lu Jinghan finally carried Han Xi out of the bathroom. As soon as she lay on the bed, she was so tired that she imdiately fell asleep.
......
The next morning, when Han Xi woke up, Lu Jinghan was standing on the balcony smoking. The sunlight cast his tall silhouette in elegant relief, dropping a shadow on the floor.
Han Xi turned over, propping up her cheek with one hand, and watched him with a gentle dimpled smile.
As if sensing her gaze, Lu Jinghan turned around, his obsidian eyes eting Han Xi’s: "You’re awake."
Han Xi lifted the quilt and sat up from the bed: "When did you get up? Why didn’t you wake ?"
"You were too tired last night, so I wanted to let you sleep a bit longer."
Being told this by Lu Jinghan, Han Xi’s face reddened. She quickly put on her slippers and headed to the bathroom.
After freshening up and changing clothes, just as they were about to head downstairs for breakfast, a young man suddenly jumped in from the balcony outside.
He wore light blue jeans, a white half-sleeve shirt open over it, and his thick short hair was a bit tousled. His delicate features looked as if he had walked out of a comic book.
Lu Jinghan narrowed his eyes slightly at him: "Who are you?"
The young man raised his hand in a silence gesture and lowered his voice as much as possible: "Soone outside is chasing ."
As soon as he finished speaking, they heard a voice from the next room: "He was definitely in this room, how did he vanish in a blink of an eye? Hurry up and split up to search."
Imdiately after, there was a knocking sound. The young man gestured for Lu Jinghan to plead for help and hid in the bathroom.
Lu Jinghan walked over and opened the door, a clear note of displeasure in his voice: "Is there sothing you need?"
"Sorry to disturb you, but have you seen a very handso young man, wearing a white shirt?"
"No."
"Then sorry to bother you."
The n in black at the door peeked into the room to make sure it was indeed empty before leaving.
After Lu Jinghan closed the door, the young man erged from the bathroom: "Thank you just now, but I might need to stay here a little longer until they leave this guesthouse."
Lu Jinghan, feeling he wasn’t a bad person, nodded in agreent.
The young man sat on the sofa, his gaze inadvertently landing on Han Xi, his eyes growing slightly more complex.
He pulled out a phone from his pants pocket, his slender fingers sliding across the screen a few tis: "Do you know the person in this photo?"
The young man showed the phone screen to Han Xi, pointing to a young-looking woman pictured.
"She is..." Han Xi took the phone from the young man’s hand, scrutinized it several tis, and then spoke: "She’s my mother, but how do you have a photo of my mother?"
"My na is Wen Yichen, and the person in the photo is my aunt, Wen Qin."
Han Xi stared at the young man in shock, speechless for a long while. She had never heard her mother talk about her maternal family, not even her grandparents.
