"You got the news so quickly; is there a spy of yours here?"
Liao Tingxiao spoke jokingly at a leisurely pace, paying no attention to Tang Jian’s emotions.
Tang Jian, furious, threw the puppy she was holding several ters away, clenching her nail-polished fingers into a fist: "You’d better keep that woman tied to you twenty-four seven, or else I’ll definitely kill her."
"Hmm, I will make sure to keep her by my side every day, giving you no opportunity to strike."
Liao Tingxiao exhaled a puff of smoke before abruptly hanging up the phone.
In a rage, Tang Jian smashed everything in the room, eyes blood-red with overwhelming fury, leaving the servants in the living room too scared to breathe.
Tang Shixun, having finished his business in the study and seeing the chaos in the living room, instructed the servants to send off the guests before asking helplessly: "Who has angered my precious daughter now?"
"Dad, Tingxiao brought a woman back with him, and this ti he didn’t even co ho."
Tang Shixun sat down on the sofa, aware of the situation himself: "Liao Tingxiao is no longer what he used to be. I never thought I was raising a wolf."
Just a few days ago, Liao Tingxiao’s n had taken a large chunk of his South African business; even after questioning him over the phone, Liao Tingxiao feigned ignorance of the matter.
"Daughter, great ambition requires patience; whether it’s big business or marriage, one needs to be discerning."
"Dad, my feelings aren’t a trade or a business deal; I won’t tolerate even a grain of sand."
Tang Jian stood up from the sofa, her face gloomy as she went upstairs.
After finishing her IV drip, Han Xi pulled out the needle herself. The anesthetic had worn off, and the pain from the wound on her back was excruciating.
Han Xi hardly slept on the plane last night. When drowsiness struck, she fell asleep on the bed in a daze.
She had no idea how much ti had passed; when she woke up again, it was already dark outside.
Han Xi sat up from bed, feeling suffocated in the unfamiliar room, craving for ho and Lu Jinghan’s presence.
While Han Xi was lost in thought, the room’s door opened, and Liao Tingxiao, with one hand in his pocket, walked in: "Since you’re awake, co down for dinner."
Indeed, Han Xi was quite hungry. She pulled back the covers and got out of bed, following Liao Tingxiao downstairs.
Liao Tingting was already eating in the dining room; seeing Han Xi coming down, she sarcastically said: "My brother should treat you better than Lu Jinghan does. Why not stop thinking about leaving? You can belong to my brother, and Lu Jinghan to ; that’s the best choice."
Han Xi glanced at Liao Tingting with cool eyes, mocking her with a smile: "You’ve co up with a good plan, but you’re bound to be disappointed; stop being delusional."
"Don’t be so ungrateful, and don’t forget you’re in my hands now."
Liao Tingting slamd her chopsticks on the table with a loud ’bang,’ her face visibly angry.
"At worst, you can kill , but Jing Han will ensure you suffer a fate worse than death."
Han Xi pulled out a chair and sat at the dining table, picking up chopsticks to start eating, clearly not intimidated by Liao Tingting.
"Alright, you two stop arguing. Tingting, don’t speak to Xiao Xi like that in the future."
These words from Liao Tingxiao clearly favored Han Xi.
Liao Tingting was so furious she almost exploded on the spot: "Brother, try saying that again! How co she’s more important to you than I am? Believe it or not, I’ll kill her right now?"
