Song Yan nodded and slightly bowed to Lu Jinghan, his thin lips parted slightly: "Mr. Lu, let’s have dinner together soti."

"Alright." Lu Jinghan simply replied, then turned to Han Xi: "It’s already late, let’s go ho."

"Don’t leave, Doctor Han, we agreed to go sing karaoke."

"Exactly, exactly, it’s not that late yet, everyone can hang out a bit more." Several doctors chid in.

Lu Jinghan held Han Xi with one arm and slipped the other into his pants pocket, his lips curved with a faint smile: "Sorry everyone, my wife had a fever last night and isn’t feeling well now, so we need to go ho and rest."

"Since Xiao Xi isn’t feeling well, let her go ho first. It’s getting late anyway, let’s all head ho, we have work tomorrow."

Chen Zheng stood by, glancing subtly at Han Xi snuggled into Lu Jinghan’s arms, feeling quite jealous inside.

"It really is late, everyone should go ho and rest." Song Yan looked at Han Xi and Lu Jinghan, smiling at the corners of his lips.

"Alright then, let’s all head ho separately."

The group each got into their cars, Lu Jinghan opened the passenger door for Han Xi, watched her sit inside, leaned over to fasten her seatbelt before walking around the car to the driver’s seat.

Song Yan sat in his car, watching through the rearview mirror as Lu Jinghan’s car sped away before he drove off.

Back ho, Han Xi showered and imdiately lay down on the bed, looking at the accessory she had lost and found again with unspeakable emotions.

"Do you really like this accessory? You seem to be lost in thought."

Lu Jinghan ca out of the bathroom, towel-drying his still dripping hair.

Han Xi placed the accessory on the bedside table, and reached out her small hand to Lu Jinghan: "My mom gave this to on my eighteenth birthday; she said it was her most precious item, but I accidentally lost it while studying in the United States. Luckily, my senior found it."

Lu Jinghan set aside the towel and walked to the bedside, wrapping Han Xi’s small hand in his large palm: "Your senior is really thoughtful."

Soone seems to be... getting jealous again.

Han Xi looked at him speechlessly: "Counting today, I’ve only t my senior twice in total, Mr. Lu, you’re overthinking it."

"Hopefully I’m overthinking, alright, sleep now."

"Mm, goodnight."

As soon as the words fell, Han Xi habitually snuggled into Lu Jinghan’s embrace, slowly closing her eyes.

The next day, the hospital entrance was packed tightly with reporters, as news spread about the recently popular Yan Xiao sleeping with a female fan and leaving her pregnant, forcing her to jump off a building.

Whether the news is true or not, both Yan Xiao and the female fan are now in the hospital.

The surgery, which took almost three hours, finally ended, with Han Xi and Song Yan erging from the operating room.

Yan Xiao sat on a bench in the corridor playing with his phone, while his manager was on the verge of panic, seeing stars due to anxiety, yet the main character remained unfazed.

"Doctor, how is that girl?" The manager anxiously awaited Han Xi and the team’s answer.

"She is no longer in life-threatening danger, but she will probably have to spend her future in a wheelchair; her legs won’t be able to walk anymore."

Han Xi removed her mask, her clean and serene face showing helpless regret.
