Han Xi and the other doctors and nurses moved all the dical drugs from the car into the temporary dical tent, and quickly got to work.

Injured patients were being carried in one after another, most of them wounded by debris, covered in blood and looking horrific.

Han Xi swiftly tied her hair back, put on a dical mask, and started treating their wounds without any delay.

For those with severe injuries, they could only do the initial treatnt before sending them to the hospital for surgery. After nearly three hours of non-stop work, they finally managed to treat most of the wounded.

Han Xi, fatigued, rubbed her temples and reached into her white coat pocket for her phone, only to find more than twenty missed calls and ssages from Lu Jinghan.

She dialed back, and Lu Jinghan’s worried voice soon ca through: "There was just an earthquake there, it’s dangerous. Why did you run over?"

Han Xi stepped out of the tent and sat on so collapsed wood nearby: "There are so many people injured here, it’s so pitiful. I just want to do my part to help them, don’t worry, I’m fine."

"I’m already on my way, have you eaten?"

Previously, Lu Jinghan was in a eting in the conference room. After returning to his office and seeing Han Xi’s texts, he called her, but she didn’t pick up at all.

He really didn’t feel at ease leaving her alone in such a dangerous place, so he decided to drive over.

"Don’t co, I’m very..."

"Doctor Han, co quickly, there’s a pregnant woman who seems to be about to give birth."

Before Han Xi could finish her sentence, soone was already calling her loudly from behind.

"I’ll talk to you later; soone is hurt." Han Xi quickly hung up the phone and turned around to run over.

A woman, looking to be in her twenties, was curled up on the ground in pain, sweat beading on her forehead: "Doctor, please save my baby, it hurts."

"Don’t worry, take a deep breath."

While helping the pregnant woman to relieve stress, Han Xi motioned for the people nearby to carry her into the tent.

The pregnant woman was laid on a makeshift operating table; her water had already broken, and taking her to the hospital now would be too late, putting both her and the baby at risk.

Han Xi took a deep breath, put on disposable dical gloves, and signaled to the nurse beside her to prepare for delivery.

Although none of the ten dical staff here specialized in obstetrics, they could still deliver a baby.

The n in the tent consciously turned away, and after more than half an hour, the child was finally born.

Han Xi carefully wrapped the newborn in a blanket, placed it next to the mother to see, and listened to the baby’s loud cries as the weak mother continuously thanked Han Xi.

After finishing the postpartum procedures for the mother, Han Xi arranged for both mother and baby to be sent to the hospital.

It was nearly midnight now, and the police outside were still searching for trapped people. Chen Zheng made so instant noodles for Han Xi: "Eat a little to fill your stomach."

"Thank you."

Han Xi lifted her hand to tuck stray hair behind her ear, took the plastic fork, and blew on the noodles before eating them. She was genuinely exhausted and hungry now.

The other doctors and nurses returned to the car to rest, while Han Xi and Chen Zheng stayed in the tent on duty tonight.

After eating, Han Xi fell asleep on the table, and Chen Zheng originally intended to take a nap too but was called out to treat a wound.
