Mr. Lu walked up to Han Xi, looking at the girl’s flushed cheeks, his dazzling smile deepening: "My clothes should be downstairs, could you go fetch them for ?"

Han Xi looked up in surprise: "Why would they be downstairs?"

"I asked Sister Zhang to co over to help with breakfast and bring the clothes as well."

Han Xi responded with an "oh", and hurriedly went downstairs as if escaping.

Downstairs, Sister Zhang was busy in the kitchen. Seeing Han Xi coming down, she wiped her wet hands on her apron and cheerfully said, "Madam, you’re up."

The blush on Han Xi’s face hadn’t faded yet. She nodded awkwardly: "Sister Zhang, where did you put Jinghan’s change of clothes?"

Sister Zhang pointed to the living room: "On the sofa."

Han Xi walked over, picked up a paper bag from the sofa, and went straight back upstairs.

When she returned to the bedroom, Mr. Lu was taking a shower in the bathroom. Han Xi placed the clothes on the bed, walked to the dressing table, and looked at the bite mark on her lip, feeling a bit uneasy.

She quickly applied light makeup, tied up her long loose hair high, and used foundation to cover the bite mark on her lip, applying a bean paste-colored lipstick, so it wasn’t as noticeable.

Mr. Lu ca out wrapped in a towel after his shower and imdiately saw Han Xi trying to conceal the mark on her lip: "If you’re feeling stressed, take a few days off at ho. I’ll call your director."

Han Xi looked at the man hugging her from behind in the mirror, raising her arms slightly to encircle his neck: "I’m okay, don’t worry."

Mr. Lu leaned down and kissed Han Xi’s neck a few tis, leaving light strawberry marks on her fair skin.

"What are you doing? My colleagues will see." Han Xi widened her eyes at the culprit.

Mr. Lu smiled silently and nodded, then pinched Han Xi’s chin before going to get dressed.

Actually, he was just angry that Li Chenghao kissed his woman yesterday, upset that he left marks on Han Xi.

Standing in front of the mirror, looking at the marks on her neck, Han Xi suddenly understood Mr. Lu’s intentions. She turned around and went to the bed, hugging the man from behind: "I’ll be sure to protect myself in the future."

As sharp as Mr. Lu, he certainly understood what Han Xi ant: "Silly girl, I wasn’t blaming you, I’m still worried about you."

He wasn’t angry with Han Xi at all. As for Li Chenghao... daring to touch his woman was as good as asking for trouble.

When they went downstairs hand in hand, Sister Zhang had already prepared breakfast.

Sitting at the table, Mr. Lu took the egg custard in front of Han Xi, scooped a spoonful, blew it cool, touched it with his lips to ensure it wasn’t hot before bringing it to Han Xi’s mouth.

"Why is there egg custard?" Han Xi thought this was sothing only kids would eat.

"Your lips are injured, egg custard is soft."

Han Xi’s eyes turned slightly red; her Mr. Lu was always so considerate and thoughtful for her.

Han Xi opened her mouth and ate the egg custard from the spoon, soft and tender, even touching the sore spot on her tongue didn’t hurt.

Mr. Lu fed Han Xi spoon by spoon, patiently as if pampering his own daughter.

Looking at them, Sister Zhang felt delighted. When had their gentleman ever cared for anyone like this? Only the lady could make him so gentle and protective.
