Lu Jinghan’s right hand released the steering wheel, catching Han Xi’s slightly cool hand in his large palm, wrapping it tightly inside: "Don’t worry, everything will be fine."

Han Xi turned her head, her clear eyes brimming with crystalline tears. Even though she no longer loved Li Chenghao, upon hearing he was about to die, Han Xi still felt her entire heart wrench in agony.

Throughout the journey, Lu Jinghan ran several red lights, and once the car stopped at the hospital entrance, they both ran towards the lobby together.

At the hospital lobby entrance, Han Siyu was getting off an ambulance, her face stained with blood that had been washed away by her tears, her two hands stiffly raised, stained deep crimson.

Li Chenghao lay on the stretcher bed, his white shirt stained red, his face as pale as paper.

"Xiao Xi, you’re here, quickly save Chenghao....."

Seeing Han Xi rushing over, Han Siyu grabbed onto hope as though clutching a piece of driftwood in an ocean vast, igniting hope.

"Sis, don’t be afraid, with here, Chenghao will be okay."

Han Xi held Han Siyu’s trembling hands tightly, then turned to the doctors and nurses beside her: "Take him to the operating room imdiately, match his blood type with the blood bank."

"Yes, Doctor Han."

The doctors and nurses, not daring to delay for a mont, pushed Li Chenghao to the special elevator, fearing that if they were to wait any longer, he might die of excessive blood loss.

Han Xi pulled Han Siyu into the elevator, Lu Jinghan followed behind.

"Why is he hurt so badly?" Han Xi had glanced at Li Chenghao, he seed to be stabbed with a knife.

Han Siyu was trembling and crying uncontrollably: "It was ... I stabbed him with a knife..."

Han Xi’s heart stopped, and she looked at Han Siyu in disbelief: "Sis, are you crazy?"

"Yes, I’m crazy, driven crazy by you all."

Han Siyu stared vacantly sowhere, her bloodless face suddenly curving into a sinister smile, like a ghost crawling out of hell.

Lu Jinghan squinted slightly at Han Siyu, in an instant, everything seed clear to him.

Han Xi didn’t have ti to think as the elevator doors opened, and once out, Han Xi changed into surgical attire and went directly into the operating room.

Han Xi looked at Li Chenghao who was lying on the operating table, already unconscious, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm the turmoil inside her heart.

As a doctor, even if the person lying on the operating table is their barely-breathing family mber, they must calmly complete every step of the surgery.

.......

Outside the operating room, Han Siyu sat dazed on the corridor bench, her entire being seed to sink into a bottomless pit of despair, her hands on her legs shaking uncontrollably, her heart felt gripped tightly by big hands, the pain almost suffocating her.

If Li Chenghao died, then she would definitely follow him in death.

Lu Jinghan half-leaned against the wall with one hand in his pocket, a lit cigarette held between the fingers of his right hand, amid the swirling smoke, his eyes looking at Han Siyu were indistinct and obscure.

He hadn’t expected this woman to go so far as using a knife against the man she loved so deeply.

After nearly more than two hours of lengthy waiting, the light outside the operating room finally turned off, Han Xi ca out exhausted from inside, the nerves that had been intensely taut finally could relax, fortunately, it was without danger.
