Li Chenghao frowned slightly and got out of the car, walking over with a dark look in his jet-black eyes.
"Mr. Lu may not be able to pick up Xiao Xi today. She agreed to join in visiting Auntie’s grave."
Lu Jinghan flicked the cigarette ash on the ground and spoke slowly and calmly, "My wife already told last night, that’s why I ca to accompany Xiao Xi."
Despite Lu Jinghan’s calm deanor, there was a strong sense of authority in his words that couldn’t be ignored.
Li Chenghao’s expression soured a bit, "Isn’t it a bit early to call her your wife?"
"Do you think you still have a chance?"
Lu Jinghan’s fingers tapped on the car hood now and then, holding a cigarette, obscuring his eye color in the smoke.
Li Chenghao also took out a cigarette and lit it, inhaling deeply several tis, "I’ve known Xiao Xi for so long, dated her for so long, I know her better than you. We have so many mories; before, I lost her, but now I will do everything I can to keep her by my side."
Li Chenghao’s eyes were deep, as if recalling those pure feelings like the white snow from the past.
Han Xi’s youthful years were never part of Lu Jinghan’s life, but in the days ahead, he would give this woman everything he had, ensuring no other man would ever have the chance to take her away.
Lu Jinghan’s lips held a slight, inscrutable smile; his voice was as calm as a deep sea, without a single ripple, "You might be disappointed...."
The brief words from Lu Jinghan made Li Chenghao feel a faint sense of dread.
In the crowd, Han Xi was already walking towards them, carrying a backpack. She paused beside Lu Jinghan, naturally linking arms with him, "Have you been here long?"
"No, just arrived a little while ago." Lu Jinghan extinguished the cigarette in his hand, speaking with a light smile.
Han Xi turned her head to look at Li Chenghao, "Chenghao, I forgot to tell you Jinghan will be coming with too, sorry."
Han Xi could now face Li Chenghao calmly, neither hating nor loving. When soone becos indifferent enough, all the past entanglents beco insignificant.
Li Chenghao looked at Han Xi clinging to Lu Jinghan, his heart aching almost to the point of suffocation. This woman used to cling to him the sa way.
"It’s okay, let’s go." Li Chenghao spoke briefly, extinguishing the cigarette in his hand and got into the car.
Han Xi and Lu Jinghan also got into their car, driving in the front while Li Chenghao followed behind.
At the cetery, Li Chenghao bent down to place the flowers in his hand in front of the grave, "Auntie, it’s been a long ti since I last visited you, I apologize."
Lu Jinghan held Han Xi’s shoulder, standing beside her; neither spoke, and Han Xi rested her head in Lu Jinghan’s embrace, her small hand tightly intertwined with his larger one.
A familiar voice ca from behind, approaching closer, "Xiao Xi, you’re here too?"
Han Xi turned around, her face instantly turning dark, "What are you doing here?"
Zhang Min’s voice was filled with a sorrowful tone, "Xiao Xi, your father and I co here every year to visit your mother."
"My mom doesn’t need you two pretentious people to co here to repent; seeing you only makes her feel disgusted."
Han Xi’s words were sharply sarcastic; she never expected these two people would have the audacity to co here.
"Xiao Xi, you can say whatever you want about , but he’s your biological father, please don’t talk about him like that."
After speaking, Zhang Min bent down to place the fresh flowers onto the tombstone. As her gaze swept over the photo of Wen Qin on the tombstone, a fleeting sinister look appeared in her eyes.
