Chapter 394: Not A Difficult Decision
“Better question is, how do you not know that I know?” Neraxis asked, puzzled. “Aren’t you responsible for watching over the world or sothing?”
[And what gave you that perception?] Weaver tilted his head. [Just because we are all-powerful doesn’t an we can see the dead.]
“Well, she’s not dead,” Neraxis replied.
[Hmm… tell one thing. Have you ever seen her in the normal world?] Weaver asked. [And not in the tower. That thing we spotted in the tower several years ago was most definitely not Delta.]
Neraxis’s brows furrowed. “Why? Don’t you think it’s possible for her to exist as a mortal?”
[If she’s a mortal, then she’s not Delta. The one you have t is nothing but a fake. That is all, Neraxis. Let’s move on to other matters,] Weaver dismissed him with a frown and sat down in one of the thrones.
I can’t see Aka… from what I rember, she has this bubbly personality feeling when you’re near her, Neraxis thought with a sigh.
Still, he slashed into the Void and took out a chair of his own, sitting down in front of the administrators.
“So what are these other matters you’re referring to?” Neraxis asked. “Because if you expect to sacrifice my life for sothing as flimsy as a temporary seal, then you’re wrong.”
He was expecting Weaver to speak into his mind again.
Instead, Weaver cleared his throat and began speaking aloud.
“A seal is the only thing that can deal with him, Neraxis,” Weaver said in a surprisingly charming voice. “You can’t kill him, even if you absorb our powers.”
“Is that an option?” Neraxis asked with a raised brow. “Because if you’re offering, I’m not one to refuse.”
Weaver shook his head.
“As I said, you can’t kill him. The only way he would die is if the entire multiverse were to be deleted,” Weaver added. “And, mind you, that is close to impossible to do.”
“Close to impossible doesn’t an impossible,” Neraxis pointed out. “If it’s sothing along the lines of growing more powerful, then I can do it. Trust . I just need ti.”
“You won’t be able to go past Celestial rank, Neraxis,” Weaver said flatly. “You’re a strong individual, and that peculiar space of yours is unique. But you don’t have the qualities or feats necessary to beco a person who can enter Primordial rank, let alone Eternal, Origin, or even Null.”
Weaver narrowed his eyes. “But your companion Evangeline has interesting qualities. She is not only one of the strongest mortals I’ve t, she can probably kill Celestials in a heartbeat.”
Before he could ramble further, Neraxis stood up, approaching Weaver and standing right in front of him.
Neraxis looked down at him nacingly.
“Don’t you dare involve her. If you do, I swear I’ll do whatever it takes to kill all of you.”
“Immortality, is that your crutch?” Weaver asked with a tilt of his head. “Because in case you haven’t realized, each ti you die, your soul gets weaker. One or two more deaths, and you’re as good as crippled in our eyes.”
He turned toward the administrators beside him.
“This is Crimson,” Weaver introduced the administrator.
It seed like a woman at a glance, but then again, making out their gender from their shapeless figures was extrely difficult.
Yet Crimson rely waved.
“I’m soone who has the ti you’re seeking,” Crimson stated in a feminine voice. “I’ve spent eras working on my strength, but here I am, stuck at the topmost level of the Eternal rank.”
Crimson then turned to Weaver.
“And this geezer here is at the top of the Origin rank… I’m undoubtedly the weakest of the administrators.”
“So who’s the strongest?” Neraxis asked, narrowing his eyes at Weaver. “Is it you?”
However, Weaver swiftly shook his head.
“The strongest administrator is Aka, or that’s what you know her as,” Weaver replied. “She’s also known as the Akashic Records. She is the strongest in all of existence, yet her limitations are just as cruel.”
Before Neraxis could ask what the limitations were, Weaver raised a hand, stopping him.
“Do you want to give you the benefit of the doubt?” Weaver asked. “By that, I an if you wish to use ti to your advantage. We can trap you in a realm where ti does not conventionally pass on the outside.”
Neraxis nodded, tilting his head. “And what is the twist?”
“A second passes once every Era,” Weaver stated. “So that ans before you can get out, you’d need to spend an entire Era alone.”
“…What kind of Era are we talking about?” Neraxis asked with furrowed brows. “A few hundred years? Thousands?”
“Millions,” Weaver affird. “The duration is not fixed, but expect to spend a few million years alone. It could be 1 million, but it could also be 200 million years. That’s the price you’d have to pay to achieve the power you’re seeking.”
“…Have I even lived that long if I combined all my previous lives?” Neraxis muttered.
“You’ve lived a very long ti, eons. However, your life was always cut short, so it’s hard to asure. But yes… with this, you’d likely live your longest life yet.”
A faint smile manifested itself on Weaver’s face.
“But that’s only if you choose to go through with this.”
It was the blue pill or red pill situation.
On one end, he had nearly guaranteed victory.
The cost? He’d need to sacrifice himself.
But that was only a temporary solution.
Evangeline would live for close to forever, and the others, if he turned them into vampires, would too.
Because of that, Neraxis couldn’t take the risk that Lagus would eventually co back, then torture and kill all those he cared about.
So that was where the other option ca in.
He would spend a lot of ti alone.
So much ti, he couldn’t even comprehend it after hearing about it.
But deep down, Neraxis knew that this was the only choice.
So with that in mind, he t Weaver’s gaze, then switched over to Crimson and nodded.
“Very well… send in.”
And the mont those words fell, his vision turned black.
