"Huh..." Greed mumbled. "You people have truly lost your minds."

They had explained the gist of the situation to Greed, and of course, Violet wasn’t excluded either.

The only person who didn’t know what was happening was Evangeline, and he planned on keeping it that way for the ti being.

However, Violet’s entire deanor changed after finding out the truth.

"But how... Gluttony, how do you rember this? I... the only thing I rember was there being a main body and—"

Gluttony clicked his tongue and pointed at Neraxis.

"He’s the main body. He’s always been the main body. Just deal with it. We can’t go back to normal, and him absorbing our power back into himself is a difficult process too," Gluttony replied. "I’m not saying it’s not possible, but I, for one, would prefer being my own person for just a little while longer."

And by that, he obviously ant until Lagus killed them all.

Greed seed to share the sa sentint as he let out a sigh and leaned back.

"Fuck... I did recall sothing about that fight long ago... Who else knew about it?"

"Wrath," Gluttony said flatly.

The mont he did, Neraxis’s eyes widened.

Noticing that, Gluttony let out a chuckle.

"What? Do you think you could’ve killed Wrath if he hadn’t been teaching you how your powers worked? Don’t be delusional," he said. "He has the powers to literally dematerialize beings. Do you seriously think he wouldn’t be able to stop soone’s healing?"

He turned to Greed.

"Don’t you rember us fighting him? Even I lose to him most of the ti, but on paper, he’s the second strongest Sovereign because I have more authority over matter. After all, by absorbing it, I grow stronger."

"I can confirm, Wrath was pretty strong back then," Greed stated. "Though he’s always been a bit of an odd one. He never liked fighting, even if he was supposedly evil."

Their little chatter of who’s the strongest Sovereign continued for a few monts, but it was soon broken by Violet’s cough.

"Enough... I... I don’t even know what to do anymore," she muttered. "The main goal I set out to achieve has been rendered... useless."

"You live and you learn, I guess," Gluttony said matter-of-factly. "But after billions of years, I’d assu you’d finally grow a brain, Violet."

She sent a glare his way.

"You’re one to talk. You were riding my coattails while we were younger and—"

Neraxis clapped his hands, getting their attention.

"Look... I get the picture now, but how and why exactly were you all helping Lagus?"

After all, even after everything that had happened to them, and the fact that they were re fragnts of Neraxis’s actual self, they still continued to help him.

So much so that they wanted to make Lagus descend into his body.

Yet his question simply hung in the air, as no one bothered to answer.

Or so he thought, but that was when Gluttony cleared his throat and began explaining.

"Lagus is a being we cannot refuse, in a way. He’s omnipotent, and because of the events that transpired inside the tower all those years ago, we only have one life now."

"You an when he overwrote everything with the administrator privileges?" Neraxis asked.

Gluttony nodded. "Pretty much, yes. I’m pretty sure you hold the sa privilege now because of your mories. By that, I an you can likely travel to the very top of Dreamspire and et with the administrators themselves."

"...And why would I do that?" Neraxis asked. "Do they hold as big of a grudge against Lagus as I’m expecting? Because if not, going there will only get killed."

"Who knows?" Gluttony shrugged. "The only guarantee I can tell you is that you will 100% be granted an audience with at least one of them, if not all."

Aka maybe? Neraxis thought. Talking with her might be my best bet, though she did seem pretty close to Lagus, so I’m not sure what to be expecting.

With that in mind, he let out a sigh and tapped the air, dispelling the golden thread barrier he had made.

On the outside stood Evangeline, glaring at him with a disapproving look.

"Why won’t you tell ?" she asked. "Is it that big of a secret?"

"It is," Neraxis replied flatly. "So because it’s such a secret, I want you to sit this one out, Evangeline."

The mont his words fell, and just as she was about to retaliate, he flicked his fingers, causing her to vanish.

He didn’t kill her, no. He simply teleported her back to the others, perfectly unhard.

The Sovereigns looked at this situation in wonder, but none dared to raise the question.

After all, as much as it pained Neraxis to push Evangeline aside like this, he knew there was no choice.

She was strong, incredibly so.

But he had seen the people he’d be going up against firsthand, so naturally, they would be able to instantly kill Evangeline—if not worse, hold her hostage and force him to do sothing he’d regret.

Plus, there was also another matter.

I might die... for real this ti. I’ve used up all my luck over the past few years, and I’m not seeing a simple way out of anything that’s about to happen.

The administrators would be mad at him for simply being the son of Lagus.

And then there was the matter of Lagus himself.

A being at the Eternal rank, and maybe even higher.

God only knew what kind of challenges Neraxis would have to face moving forward, but one thing was clear.

This will likely be my last week of living my life sowhat normally...

After that, he knew things would change—and they would change drastically.

So with that in mind, he took a deep breath and glanced between each of the Sovereigns.

They had determined looks on their faces, except Violet, who was slightly uneasy.

But even so, they’d act as backup, even if they were slightly unreliable.

Therefore...

"Follow ... let’s pay a visit to the Administrators inside Dreamspire."
