"Deletion?" Neraxis's brows twitched.

He had seen soone with a similar power back in the mories the Eternal Sin had shown.

It was the administrator, Weaver.

The exact sa deletion powers that he had threatened the Eternal Sin with.

But unlike the Weaver, Delta wasn't threatening him—she was offering him so sort of helping hand instead.

"I can delete anything and everything, but there are certain things I can't delete, such as Lagus himself," Delta replied. "On the other hand, I can delete skills, features, stats even."

That's a bit overpowered...? Neraxis's eyes widened. "Is there a limit?"

Delta shook her head. "I use my life force. However, I'm immortal, so there's not exactly a limit. But of course, if I overuse my main skill, then every single deletion I've done in the past would recoil back to , and likely wipe my own stats clean."

"That's still overpowered." Neraxis sighed. "So what exactly do you want to delete?"

"Let see your status screen," Delta said, extending her hand. "I need to see which skills are influenced by Lagus, and if I can delete them, then I can lower his influence over your body."

Neraxis nodded as his hand t hers.

It was gentle, surprisingly, but he could feel the overwhelming power coming from her, until finally, his red status window appeared in the air.

"Hmm..." Delta humd in amusent. "Your stats are very balanced... Also, I assu Eve of Ruin is the skill responsible for most of this Body Compatibility thing I'm seeing?"

"Yep." Neraxis nodded. "As you can probably see, there's a skill effect that allows to use Dawn of Ruin. I basically get a portion of the Eternal Sin's powers—so of which even let turn back ti."

"Ti..." Delta sighed. "Yes, I rember. He had absolute control over that. It was the first affinity he had mastered, and he did so while still being B-ranked."

Neraxis tilted his head. "It sounds to like you two knew each other?"

"That we did." Delta chuckled. "We were childhood friends soti in the past, and I rember having a crush on him for a while. Too bad we both moved on—I found soone else and had a daughter."

Her warm expression crumpled, replaced by one of hatred. "One day, I ca back from an assignnt, and I found both my husband and my daughter lying dead on the floor, their heads lopped clean off and placed into two clay plates I had made the day prior."

A shiver ran down Neraxis's spine upon hearing that story.

"How did you know it was the Eternal Sin's doing?" Neraxis asked.

"Before I evolved my Deletion main skill, I had the Detection main skill. I hid it as best I could, so no one knew... and I used it to find out who killed my family," Delta replied coldly. "It was Lagus... I'm not going to go into it further, but you get the gist of it."

"I do..." Neraxis said. "Is that why the Obscura was founded in the first place? To hunt down the Eternal Sin?"

Delta stared at him for a mont before slowly nodding. "We've been in countless tilines, and all of our attempts to kill the Eternal Sin have failed. Each ti, we didn't stand a chance against his power after he fully awakened, and the only choice we had left was to sit by and watch the universe end—until finally, the system brought us back again."

Neraxis's brow twitched. "The system brought you back? Do you an one of the administrators?"

"Akashic Records," Delta replied. "Also known as Aka. She was the one behind the regressions, but this ti, we have zero contact with her, and we can't find her or the other administrators anywhere. Also, it's no longer possible to get past the 90th floor of Dreamspire, so it's a complete and total dud... I just hope she's alive."

Neraxis sighed. "You and both... but can you tell one more thing before you try deleting my skill?"

"What is it?" Delta replied. However, upon hearing his next words, she froze.

"Who is Amara to you?"

"I—"

"I'm a fake," Amara chid in. "Delta created in the image of her daughter... I'm not exactly sure what I am, but I have so of her daughter's mories. Don't bother her about this topic again."

"I see. My apologies," Neraxis replied, turning his gaze to Delta. "You can start whenever you want—and of course, you have my cooperation in getting rid of the Eternal Sin."

Delta took a deep breath, and the very next mont, he felt a dull pain spread from his hand and travel across his entire body.

And with that, a few pop-ups.

Good. Neraxis snickered as he felt his legs growing limp.

However, before he could fall, Amara walked beside him and acted as a crutch, keeping him standing.

And soon, Delta let go of his hand, her expression pale.

"Did you do it?" Amara asked, earning a nod from Delta in response.

"Yes... I had a little conversation with Lagus as well..." Delta replied. "He's stronger than before, but because of what I did, his strength is a re 4% of what it should be at its peak."

Delta's exhausted gaze traveled toward Neraxis. "Train your mind, and we'll help you train it also. All our resources will be funneled to you, since now, you're our one and only hope to kill Lagus."

With those words, Delta suddenly flicked her fingers, and a portal appeared, leading back to the throne room.

"First Veil, co, we must prepare."

Amara nodded as she gently placed Neraxis on the ground and went through the portal.

"We'll see you very soon, Neraxis. Rest well," Delta said, and with those words, she too went through the portal as it closed behind her.

And now, Neraxis was left lying on the ground, limp.

Well... this is one way to end off the day.

Or so he thought—but a pair of footsteps soon resounded from the distance.

And not even a mont later, he saw two annoyed, yet familiar faces.

Aella and Celina.

"Neraxis~ I think we should have a little chat, don't you think~?"
