"What do you an you know how the fight is going?" Yukata asked.
Vacuse shrugged. "They must have moved the battle from the city and started using the tunnels. I assu the gangs will not want their city ssed up.
"Anyway, I think it is ti for us to go. I am eager to see what we will et ahead."
Yukata and Lady Slave did not think so, and their expressions freely showed that. "Um, why do not we wait a little? Maybe we will hear more news from people coming and then we will make other decisions?"
Vacuse raised his brows and snorted. "Maybe. But I do not have the ti. I want to know what is happening now."
Without waiting for the others he began to move forward, and the two, with little choice left in the matter, began to follow him, grumbling all the way.
Vacuse did not mind, as much as they disliked doing what he said. And contrary to their thoughts he was actually aware of the dangers of going up the tunnel.
But getting this close to eting the people that might turn out to be his attendants was just too much, and he wanted to take the risk.
Even now, his senses were spread as if they could reach to catch any danger. Unfortunately, it did not take long for him to catch one.
The next section of the tunnel they entered was blocked. It was a full magical blocking that created a shimring wall of solid blue light.
And on the other side, Vacuse saw Magus and a temporary battle construction.
"Stop right where you are!" the voice shouted from the other side.
Vacuse did not hesitate and he imdiately stopped walking. The other side of the shield was filled with dozens of Magus who gave him expressionless looks while they pointed different magical instrunts at them.
Vacuse slowly raised his hand, blinking at the harsh yellow light that suddenly fell on them. The light was from a high magical instrunt, but he did not know what it was doing, and that ant he did not like it. "Hey! I am just a rchant, what is all this about? We rchants have free movent in the mountains! Everyone knows that!"
The yellow light was blinding and harsh, but Vacuse could see through it perfectly even though he pretended he could not. The Magus on the other side began to arrange themselves in a battle formation while the grizzled one who seed to be the leader sneered. "And that is exactly why a lot of people pretend to be rchants!
"But do you really think I will believe you? Where are your goods? Where are the dozens of servants? I must say, you Dragon hunters are getting creative!"
Although Lady Slave and Yukata could not see what was happening, Vacuse could see that the Magus had started to power their magical instrunts and the tips began to glow with different lights that would surely soon transform into devastating beams of destruction.
Vacuse’s fat face showed panic and he waved his hands around like a headless monster. "Wait! Wait! I am actually a young master from the outside! This is just a playground for ! Do you really want to cause trouble for your superior?"
The grizzled Magus instantly raised his hand for his subordinates to pause. Even though the outside was filled with wars at the mont, nobody wanted to be dragged into problems with the noble families.
Especially soone who was not noble themselves.
Vacuse sighed secretly in his mind. ’...even here in the Great Dungeon and in a ti so long ago, people are still wary of offending young masters. And I really do not want to fight here. Not only will I be outnumbered, I really do not know anything about the situation on the ground either...’
The grizzled man looked at Vacuse carefully and his face showed doubt at the fat man standing in front of him. "Prove it!"
Vacuse nodded happily, and with his hand still in the air he gestured and things began to appear in thin air.
Trinkets, bags of spices, and exotic fruits. Luxury clothes in bales and different types of goods. Although they were not as much as most rchants should have, they were all high quality.
"See all of this! I have fixed custors that I sell to. I am going to regroup and restock in Mountain City!"
The Magus reacted differently.
And not because of the goods that Vacuse displayed.
It was because of the spatial ring that he had just casually displayed.
Everywhere, no matter where, spatial rings are a status of nobility and wealth. Only the richest and most influential can get their hands on them. They are so rare that most high circle Magus do not even have one even with all their power.
So have spatial chests or bags, but rings are rarer, much rarer than spatial bands.
The grizzled Magus swallowed. "Please, identify yourself, young master."
The fact that Vacuse had one, whether he was nobility or whatever, ant that the Magus would indeed put the trouble to their superior.
The fact that the ring could have been stolen did not even cross their minds. Most spatial rings have high level enchantnts that make them difficult to seal. Who would dare steal sothing that could be traced back to their doorstep? It is simply trouble.
Vacuse relaxed and smiled. With a simple gesture he returned the goods back to the ring. "Identify myself? Surely you jest. If I wanted my identity broadcasted then I would not have troubled myself by putting glamour on myself and my attendants."
Of course they already knew that he was glamoured. The light they shone on them revealed it all. Glamours in the mountains are more common than most people think. In fact, in the outside world it is just as common.
That was why glamour had been made in such a way that even powerful Magus cannot easily peek at people who are under them.
The grizzled Magus rubbed his forehead as if he did not quite understand why he was in the situation he had just found himself in.
Vacuse could not bla him. Even he, as nobility himself, hated dealing with his kind. Especially if he could not punch them in the face and be done with it.
