Iron Knight and Moonbla remained in the tunnel, staring at the portal.

They watched as the portal slowly shrank as it took the right number of Soulbearers and turned into a ball of green light.

"I guess that’s it then," Iron Knight said, as if he was greatly tired just by leading the two groups there.

Moonbla shifted as if he didn’t know how to react.

It was exactly when the construct moved. It was a tiny movent of changing position, but instantly Iron Knight beca alert. He turned to Moonbla. "You, sunshine, or what’s your na? Go on, I will et you."

Moonbla’s eyes widened, but he nodded quickly and ran out of the tunnel.

Iron Knight watched him go and then he turned his attention back to the construct. Surprisingly, the expression on his face right then was one that, had Vacuse been here to witness it, he would have been struck dumb by surprise.

The normal irritated gloomy expression on his face was gone, replaced by a respectful expression as he straightened, facing the construct. "Elder?"

The construct stepped forward, its movent smooth and well-coordinated. An emotionless voice ca from it. "Iron Knight. It seems they’ve entered the Dungeon?"

Iron Knight bowed low. "Yes, respected Elder."

This Elder was directly from the Imperial capital, the Elder of the Imperial house. And even Iron Knight dared not behave in an unsightly manner in front of him.

The construct turned to face the small ball of green light. "Good. I will report to His Imperial Majesty. We may need to bring one of the Divisions here."

Iron Knight was shocked to hear that.

The Imperial Majesty controlled many forces. He had the standard Imperial army, already known for their crushing powers, both normal and Soulbearers.

But then there were the elite forces made up of Soulbearers. The Gold Accord was one of those forces, and their power was no joke. They were extrely powerful with artifacts of war.

Even above the elite, there were so called the Divisions, known as the most powerful forces of the Imperial Majesty. Nobody knew how many Divisions existed in the Empire or who and what was in them.

In fact, the only Division known was the Imperial Guards, who guarded the Emperor personally. That was why, when Iron Knight heard the Elder ntion the Division, he was shaken.

Was the Dungeon that dangerous?

Iron Knight hesitated. "Respected Elder, is this Dungeon that dangerous?"

The construct turned to Iron Knight, voice wooden and chanical. The Elder began to speak. "In a way. This energy coming from this Dungeon is that of necromancy. In the history of this world, as far as we know, the beasts of death are terrible things indeed and they do not appear often.

"Who knows what will happen?"

"But... is that really enough to call the Divisions?"

The Elder chuckled, but it sounded like tal ringing. "Ah! I might have forgotten to ntion that we are not worried about what is inside the Dungeon but what the Dungeon might draw in.

"Do you think, Iron Knight, that Gold Accord is allowed to supervise this themselves? And to send a Commander here?"

His eyes widened. "This has... to do with the Black Accord?"

"Indeed. One person especially. The Blood Spike."

Iron Knight was confused. "But... Blood Spike is of the low-numbered Accord. And a Sovereign Ascended without any crown, even though she supposedly has both law and authority."

The Elder went silent for a while. "Iron Knight. Unless you are in the lowest number of the Black Accord, then it is certain they have a backer.

"In truth, if things go wrong, we might have people—powerful things—invading our Empire.

"So your new order is to evacuate everyone in this city. Also, I will remain here."

With that, the construct returned back to the wall and beca lifeless.

Iron Knight bowed low to it and then he turned around to start working on his new orders.

His face failed to hide his shock.

Vacuse knew things went horribly wrong when things were blank at first, but then he was absolutely sure things were not right because the invasive feeling he felt from the portal intensified tenfold and was directly invading his head!

And that was exactly when... Vacuse Vorrakyn, the Emperor of the human world, opened his eyes!

It was morning. He lay on his bed and stretched, enjoying the warm light that spilled from the large window to the side while he thought of the work he had planned for the day.

Being the Emperor of the whole world wasn’t an easy feat.

The door opened and a maid walked in, bowing. "Your Majesty, the bath has been set and all the ministers are waiting for you."

Vacuse nodded and stood from the bed. "I guess it’s ti to get out of bed."

Soon, he was done with his bath and he wore his clothes with his crown as he headed toward the throne room, where a group of elderly n and won were waiting for him. So of them were not human. There were different races among them, from elves to dwarves and such.

He sat down on his throne and smiled happily. "Right, let’s start!"

Soon, the ministers began to show him the different important things that needed his attention. Things like how to permanently eradicate world hunger and make things comfortable for everyone, as well as how to increase the monthly paynts that every living thing was entitled to.

It was such a happy eting. In fact, everyone was happy, and Vacuse was running a world of happiness where everyone and everything was content.

Soon, Vacuse settled into a routine.

He would wake before the sun was up to admire it rising, then his bath, and the next thing would be his food, after which he would sit for happy etings with the ministers.

Days blurred into weeks and then into months. Everything painted a happy, shining gold of happiness.

He was respected. He was their lord and Emperor.

Vacuse Vorrakyn, the Emperor of the world.
