Chapter 167: Hide Him

It would be a dangerous ga to play, but Elys was gradually warming up to that option. Alekander was already showing her signs of being worried of her all the ti, perhaps it was not such a difficult thing to add to her hidden agendas aside from freeing her people.

Maybe she could even have the whole vampire kingdom in her hands if she played it right.

Maybe, Aleksander would give in to her and let her rule over him and the rest of his kingdom too. That would be a wonderful thing to do.

"Let go of him, wife," Aleksander said, "Let

help you."

Elys was jerked backed into reality when she heard Aleksander’s displeased voice. She obliged with his request, but not fully.

She got up from pinning him with her whole body, but still held his legs still with a non-conventional tool. She put down her heels on his thighs, making him scream with pain as the pointed part of her combat boots dug into them.

Aleksander smiled for a second, amazed by how strong Elys was considering she didn’t even need to use her magic at all.

He then took one look at the man. He was wheezing and his breath was labored, maybe partly because Elys’ knee had been jamd on his stomach while her other leg intertwined with his leg. Her whole body was literally on him before she put her foot down on his thighs.

This sohow ticked Aleksander off, and his silver eyes instantly morphed into their golden versions. A re glance from the vampire made all the difference.

One second the man they captured was struggling, the next second he was as still as frozen water. Elys noted the drastic change, and knew that her husband used his magic against the man.

The Western Queen took a few steps forward, leaned over to Aleksander and took off Aleksander’s mask. He was obviously taken aback by her advance, but Aleksander stayed still as Elys caressed his cheeks and gazed into his golden eyes.

"You really don’t like it when other people are near , do you, King Aleksander Ardorlean?" she teased.

"No, I don’t," Aleksander blushed at her question, "they are a danger to you, no matter how small the chances are. Also, like I said, I don’t like it when a part of them touches you as it had been the case a while ago."

Elys’ eyes crease as a tiny tickle rose inside her. Soon, her laughter erupted in the empty and dim alleyways they were at, echoing and sounding like border maniacal.

"But, husband," she wheezed in laughter, "that is part of the battle. One way or another, we are going to touch each other. Perhaps most of the tis our blades might clash, but if the opportunity cos that a tackle is needed, body contact is a must."

"I just don’t like it," Aleksander muttered, quite adamant that he wasn’t comfortable with the idea. "You could have just pinned him with your sword. Stab whichever side of his arm or leg at that, maybe even between his shoulders."

Elys laughter slowly died down and she looked at Aleksander with amusent. Her fingers teased his cold face, her other hand stroking the other side as if to stimulate him.

Aleksander held himself back, but he couldn’t help the sensuous things she was doing to him. No matter how small the gesture was, it sent sparks all over his body, a tingling sensation traveling around and making him shiver.

She noticed how Aleksander was trying hard not to show his reactions, but she could see past him.

He was struggling, at she had to make the most out of it.

Elys leaned forward, her chest pressing on to his torso and went on her tiptoes. Her lips moved closer to his ear, almost kissing them.

"Don’t worry, my king," she whispered. "I am not the type to let anyone touch

as they please. If they do, death be upon them with those piercing eyes of yours."

Aleksander turned red as a ripe tomato, and Elys’ laugh echoed in the dim alleyway. She took a step back and let Aleksander process her words before finally returning their attention to the man on the ground.

The vampire cleared his throat afterwards, and then said, "Well, death be upon those who touch you without my permission."

Elys raised a brow at his remarks and then added, "You an without MY permission," making it clear that it was her decision that mattered and not his.

Aleksander conceded with a sheepish smile and said, "But of course. My apologies, my queen."

After that short exchange, the Western King and Queen turned to their suspected arsonist. The man had a blank face on, his drool slowly dripping from the corner of his open mouth. Elys noted sothing strange in him, and moved in closer to inspect further.

"Look," she pointed to the man’s mouth.

Aleksander followed suit, and peered over Elys’ shoulders to see that the man they had captured had his tongue cut out. It was a clean cut, and Alekander wondered what it had ant.

The young king searched the man’s clothes for anything that might be a clue to his identity. He got hold of a tiny bottle similar to what they saw back at the capital center.

He raised it towards Elys, and they squinted at the bright colored liquid inside the bottle.

"I wonder who this man is," Elys pondered out loud, and then turned to Aleksander as she said, "It is clear that he couldn’t talk even if we interrogate him. You should poke into his head or sothing."

"Right, that is true," he agreed imdiately. "Should we take him in for interrogation or... what do you suggest?"

Elys pondered on the question for a few seconds, humming in between before finally coming into a conclusion.

She tilted her head and gave the young king a side glance before she said, "We should hide him."
