227 Slightly Tipsy

The dining room was bustling with noise and excitent. Zhao Zhan lowered his eyes and looked at Yue Jiaojiao seriously. He then picked up a piece of fish with his chopsticks and placed it in the small bowl in front of her.

“Today, I took Chengfeng to chisel ice on the mountain and caught a big fish. Yesterday, Yang Maozhong gave

a jar of pickled vegetables. I thought of the pickled vegetable fish you ntioned before, so I made one for you to try.”

Zhao Zhan, stop whispering.

“Everyone, thank you for coming today. Let’s cheer for the New Year!”

Fang Tianliu picked up the wine and poured a cup for Yue Jiaojiao. “This isn’t intoxicating. The ladies from wealthy families in Huai County will drink this wine during gatherings. It’s a pity that there’s no stove to warm the wine.”

Zhao Zhan had already turned around to fetch so hot water and poured it into a bowl. He carefully placed the glass of wine in front of Yue Jiaojiao into the bowl and said, “I’ll warm it up, or your stomach will get cold after drinking it.”

“Sun Jiyan, look at Zhao Zhan. He’s so nice to his wife.”

Fang Tianliu had already walked to Sun Jiyan’s side with a glass of wine in his hand. He put his arm around Sun Jiyan’s shoulder without a trace of a gentlemanly image. “Sun Jiyan, do you have soone you like? If you do, you must listen to . We can’t learn from Zhao Zhan.”

Yue Jiaojiao took a slow sip of the warm fruit wine and looked up at the other party. “I’ll keep that in mind. When I see Xiangjun after the New Year, I’ll definitely help you pass on the ssage truthfully to her.”

“N-no that’s not what I ant!”

Fang Tianliu’s tipsy state was instantly sobered up by the threat. He looked at Zhao Zhan for help. “Save !”

Doctor Sun and Doctor Zhou laughed out loud.

Sun Jiyan shook his head helplessly and finished the wine in his glass in one gulp. He realized that it seed that Fang Tianliu and Li Xiangjun’s happy occasion was coming soon.

“I’m really envious of you.”

“Sun Jiyan, is there anyone you’re interested in? I can help you if you tell .” Fang Tianliu was pleased by his words, and he felt a little light. “To be honest with you, Sun Jiyan, I’m quite good at pursuing the person I like.”

Sun Jiyan thought about the way Fang Tianliu and Li Xiangjun got along in the shop for the past two days. He smiled and shook his head without saying anything.

Only soone with Li Xiangjun’s personality could beco Fang Tianliu’s quarrelso rival.

Zhao Zhan looked at Sun Jiyan warily. His eyes t Sun Jiyan’s, and they beca a little anxious.

Sun Jiyan raised the wine glass in his hand high and toasted Zhao Zhan from a distance.

“Zhao Zhan, why don’t you take a look at Jiaojiao?” Li Miao, who was sitting beside Yue Jiaojiao, could not help but call out when he saw her flushed face and misty eyes, “Is she drunk?”

“Why is that cup empty?”

“Jiaojiao?”

Zhao Zhan hurriedly sat down and tilted his head to see her reaction.

The woman’s cheeks were red, and her eyes glazed. When she saw Zhao Zhan looking over, she couldn’t help but laugh. Then she reached out and poked the corner of his mouth. Her voice was unclear. “Hi, Zhao Zhan.”

“She’s drunk.” Doctor Sun, who was busy eating, took the ti to glance at her. “This girl is too weak to hold her liquor. Zhao Zhan, take her back to her room to rest. This fruit wine doesn’t have much alcohol. She’ll be fine after lying down for a while.”

“Enjoy the rest of your dinner everyone.”

Li Miao wanted to get up and help, but Zhao Zhan hurriedly refused, not daring to let her move. He held Yue Jiaojiao and coaxed her softly, “Jiaojiao? I’ll bring you back to lie down for a while, okay?”

Yue Jiaojiao felt that her consciousness was clear, but her actions were a little sluggish. When she heard Zhao Zhan’s words, she reacted for a mont before nodding her head. She was so obedient that it was unbelievable.
