The dock was bustling with activity.

Looking around, people were hustling and bustling about.

One of the bags that Zhao Zhan had brought with him had been used up on the ship. At this mont, he only had luggage and common items on his back, so he had more strength left. He carefully held her in his arms for fear of being hit by others.

“There’s a shop selling mini wonton there that looks cleaner than the other shops.” Zhao Zhan pointed to a place not far away. “We can go there to rest for a while. We’ll leave when you’re ready.”

Yue Jiaojiao was almost completely relying on the strength of Zhao Zhan’s arm to stand steadily. When she heard these words, she nodded her head and said, “Alright.”

The little girl’s fair skin had beco more delicate after being on the boat for a long ti. Her originally bright red lips were now unhealthily pale. Zhao Zhan was worried and helped her to the wonton stall. He got up and walked to the shop owner. “I want two bowls of wonton. Can you give

two cups of water first?”

“Alright.”

The wonton seller was a woman with a round and happy face, dressed neatly and cleanly. After she put the wonton into the pot, she deftly brought two cups of water and placed them on the table. Then, she couldn’t help but look at Yue Jiaojiao several tis.

Sensing her gaze, Zhao Zhan changed his seat and sat down, seemingly blocking her view.

“You man, you look like you know how to cherish your wife. The woman did not mind when she was found out. She returned to the furnace and laughed loudly. “It seems that the young lady who said that she was going to find a relative from thousands of miles away was actually looking for her husband. Young lady, you found such a good life.”

There was a lot of heavy aning in these words, and Zhao Zhan’s expression instantly beca alert.

Yue Jiaojiao pressed on the back of Zhao Zhan’s hand and shook her head slightly as she looked at him. She then looked at the woman with a smile on her face and said in a probing tone, “There are so many people coming and going at this dock every day. Your mory must be really good. It’s been almost half a year since you last saw .”

“Damn right it is! If I t an ordinary person, it would be easy for

to forget, but seeing a fairy-looking woman like you is unforgettable! How could I forget? In another three to five years, I would’ve probably shown off to others that I’ve seen a fairy before.”

As the woman spoke, she had already placed two bowls of wontons on the tray and brought them to the table. I noticed that you’re little plumper now. Your eyes are no longer red, making my heart ache in happiness. I’m happy for you.”

To be able to et soone who knew her at a random stall, Yue Jiaojiao felt that other than the mory loss incident, she was extrely lucky at different tis.

“Thank you for thinking about . I have sothing to ask you. Do you still rember which ship I ca down from? I want to go ho to visit my family, and I think it’s more reassuring to take the familiar boat. It’s been so long that I don’t even rember! Haha!”

“This is hard for . I didn’t notice which ship you ca from at that ti. Didn’t you bring many servants with you? I’m sure we’ll be able to find out the truth if we ask them properly.”

“You’re right. I was careless.”

“By the way, do you know how to get to this place?” As Yue Jiaojiao spoke, she read out the address of the Heart Hall that Doctor Zhou had given her.

“We call it the Hall of Truth here. It’s far from here. It’s best to hire a palanquin later. Otherwise, you’ll be exhausted if you walk there with such a weak body,” the woman said as she pointed the way. “The Hall of Truth is the most effective place for a consultation. It’s definitely the right place to go if you want a child.”
