174 Clean Up

“Don’t worry. Even if I’m not here, I’ve got soone to keep an eye on her.” Chen Xiaoliang looked a little proud as he said this. “I’m very familiar with most of the child beggars in the mountains. With their help, I’ll definitely know as soon as the woman shows up.”

Zhao Zhan looked at Chen Xiaoliang in surprise.

He had thought that this person was a hooligan who only knew how to swindle and flee. He did not expect him to be so capable in the mountains.

“Don’t worry. I, Chen Xiaoliang, may not be a good person, but I am a person who knows how to differentiate between gratitude and grudges. If that guy outside asks

for help, I will definitely make him pay the price.”

“You! Didn’t I teach you not to talk about others behind their backs? Do you need a refresher?!”

Fang Tianfu cursed and then turned to look at Zhao Zhan. “This shop has been open for less than two hours, and more than half of the things you prepared in the morning have been sold. I don’t think we’ll be able to sell any more noodles soon.”

“That’s how it always starts, everyone wants to try sothing new, so there will be many custors. After a while, we’ll survey if we should make more in the future.”

“You’re right. I’m probably too anxious with the lack of help around here.”

Fang Tianliu couldn’t help but glare at Chen Xiaoliang. He really didn’t like this person at all.

“I’ll go help.” Zhao Zhan wanted to separate the two people and pushed Fang Tianliu toward the front hall. “I’ll send my wife back first and then co over imdiately.”

“Zhao Zhan, I don’t have to leave so soon. The shop is newly opened, and I want to join in the fun.”

Zhao Zhan did not refuse when he saw her curious face.

The restaurant had been open for more than a month, and the popularity of a new shop fizzled out. However, there was no other shop in the entire West Street that had better business than it.

The weather was getting colder and colder, so Zhao Zhan prepared jackets for Yue Jiaojiao.

“The houses in Willow Village have all been cleaned up. Master Sun has brought people to clean it up, so I went to check if it really was,” Zhao Zhan said gently as he tidied up the boxes. “The shop will be closed this afternoon. In another fifteen minutes, Fang Tianliu will co with a carriage. By then, you can move your usual things over first.

“If there’s anything that you can’t move, I’ll co back tomorrow and get the rest.”

Yue Jiaojiao was sitting on a chair covered with a layer of cotton. When she heard his words, she tilted her head and smiled at him. “Okay.”

No matter how many tis she moved, Zhao Zhan would always make the place comfortable for her, afraid that she would be wronged.

“We don’t have enough soybeans at ho. So Dashan and I have planted more for the crops to be harvested, but we’ll have to wait for another half a month for the rest. However, from the looks of it, the other crops won’t be good ones. Although we’ve covered them with straw to keep them warm, they’re still having a hard ti growing.”

Yue Jiaojiao held the red date tea that Zhao Zhan had prepared for her in her hands and took a sip of it before continuing, “Let’s just take it slow. Once we’ve collected the soybeans and paid everyone, everyone will take the initiative to plant them with us during the new year. However, there are still many seedlings left. In the short term, the bean products can’t be spread too widely, or else the raw materials will beco limited.”

Zhao Zhan could already understand the strange words that occasionally popped out of her mouth. Sotis, he would even say it subconsciously he wasn’t with her.

“Zhao Zhan!”

Fang Tianliu’s voice ca from outside the door. Zhao Zhan packed the last box and walked over to open the door.

“Should we start moving now or wait a little longer?”
