After entering though the golden portal, Ji Yuan and his group found themselves in another citadel hall.
This citadel hall was imposing and had many large pillars; as a matter of fact, it was big enough to accommodate the thousands of cultivators that were presented here and spacious enough for many more.
Ji Yuan made a slow frown as he noticed that the thousands of cultivators were not looking at his group; he was quite accustod to attract the looks from the many maidens but this ti round, many of the cultivators that were in front of them were all looking tense.
It seed to him that the trial mission for this level was not going to be easy!
Feng Minyue took a glance at Ji Yuan before saying slowly to the group, "The upper level of the trial is the most difficult. All the cultivators from the nurous celestial fraternities will be taking the sa trial from this point onward. Those who can reach the 7th level and the last level are among the strongest cultivators."
Yun Chi gave a slow smile when she had heard Feng Minyue but said nothing. Instead, she rubbed her belly to comfort her unborn daughter as she whispered silently to her: do not be afraid my precious. Your mum will protect you.
The rest of the maidens, including Mo Bei were looking uneasy though since they could see the tense atmosphere in the air from the thousands of cultivators and also because they had no idea what the nature of the upcoming trial would be.
Shui Xisi tried to comfort the group, "What is there to be anxious about? We will be fine here."
Ling Feiyue returned a faint smile before she pointed at Ji Yuan, "I am not anxious. I am just worried about Ji Yuan here who is injured."
Ji Yuan smiled weakly, "Not to worry. I can manage just fine…"
"He won't die." Yun Chi chuckled all of a sudden. "He is too thick skin to die anyway."

Mo Bei interrupted, "Let's take a look at the black stele in front of us to check the nature of the trial first instead of staying here. We're blocking the rest."
Ji Yuan laughed, "Haha. What so difficult about the trial anyway? I can pass them all with flying colors. Unless of course, the trial is created to oppose specifically which is impossible. Hahaha."
Everyone began to chuckle softly as they nodded at the sa ti.
Little Princess touched Ji Yuan's fingers lightly before she smiled softly, "I won't let you die. I will watch out for you."
Ji Yuan was about to answer her that he would not have any incidents when Yu Jingjing had suddenly mustered the courage to walk to him to say, "I will keep an eye for you as well."
Ling Feiyue rolled her eyes before she sighed helplessly to herself: I should have just shared Ji Yuan with Sister Qianxue if I know Ji Yuan is such a romantic cultivator.
But she quickly returned her attention to Ji Yuan and was looking tenderly at him.
Ling Feiyue and the rest of the maidens were all looking at Ji Yuan at the sa ti; they were all determined to help Ji Yuan overco this trial no matter what.
After all, he had helped them to reach this level so far. Without him, they may not have reached this level yet or would have wasted a lot of ti in the lower levels. As a matter of fact, they were early and had to wait for the 7th level of the trial to be opened.
Ji Yuan raised his voice as he marched forward with a jovial smile, "We've co and we'll conquer."

Ji Yuan was now staring blankly at the black stele in front of him and he had a bewildered look.
The maidens in his group and Mo Bei were all staring blankly at the sa ti too.
Around them were thousands of cultivators who were all muttering softly and many of them were just as bewildered.
Ji Yuan took a look at the shining gate that was at the end of the hallway which was filled with cultivators moving in a slow manner toward the gate; none of them were showing any enthusiasm as well.
Ji Yuan began to shiver a little, breaking into cold sweat as he muttered to his group, "Cultivation Examinations…soone please kill now."
Mo Bei stroked his beard and chuckled, "What is so difficult about a cultivation examination? We are all saints and saintesses here."
Yun Chi was smiling, "That is right."
Shui Xisi looked a little nervous, "I can't believe this."
Yu Jingjing turned to look at Ji Yuan with a smile, "At least this isn't a combat trial. Ji Yuan will be alright and no harm will befall him."
Ji Yuan imdiately frowned, "This is worse than a combat trial for sure."
Feng Minyue smiled, "What do you an? Are you nervous?"
Ji Yuan displayed an ugly look, "You got to be kidding . I didn't take any cultivation exams for hundreds of years. How am I supposed to recall my cultivation practice?"
Little Princess smiled weakly as she rolled her eyes, "Do you an that your third rate celestial sect don't even have a proper cultivation examination in the first place?"

Mo Bei laughed aloud, "This won't be too difficult. Our cultivation knowledge is like an inherent thing inside of us by now. There's nothing to be anxious about. Then he sarcastically looked at Ji Yuan as he patted him on his shoulder, "So junior, what have you been doing during your free ti? Reciting poems or chasing skirts? Surely you're not a good-for-nothing cultivator, am I right? Hahaha."

Ling Feiyue was now smiling weakly and she was exchanging nervous glances with the other maidens.
Mo Bei was suddenly aware that there was an uneasy air that was coming from the other maidens so he asked curiously, "What is wrong?"
Ji Yuan smiled bitterly, "Do you think I'm the only good-for-nothing cultivator in this group who wastes away my free ti?"
Ling Feiyue began to flush shyly as she stamred, "I'm the heiress to my celestial clan. It isn't that important to pass any cultivation tests. I pass anyway even if I do not take it."
Shui Xisi blinked her eyes, "Do I need to know anything about cultivation practice when I am a golden celestial at the age of 13?"
Bai Qianfeng was also returning a bewildered look, "Don't look at like this. You know who I am."
Little Princess shook her head, "Just don't ask anything about talismans and concocting pills, I'm weak in these areas."
Ji Yuan lifted a hopeful look at Little Princess, "That is great. At least you know the rest."
Little Princess smiled weakly, "Also don't ask about ridian channels, cultivation energies knowledge, soul sea, spirit entities, tallurgy, cultivation histories and others."
