The Rogue System [BL] Chapter 43 - Mighty Lights academy

Aaron glanced back. He was pretty sure the man Zhu Kang hit was dead. His neck was twisted at a bad angle. No human can survive that hit. If it were any normal situation, the cops would have wanted to apprehend Kang.

’Thankfully I’m here..’ he nodded to the cop who ran to him. The man simply just pointed to Kang in his arms.

"He’s under my protection. Please get the information needed from later. clean up will be taken care by the academy. I’m sorry for the inconvenience,"

"It’s okay, mister Zain, thank you so much for helping us.... you saved a life today," the cop said.

He glanced to the side. The little kid had reunited with his parents and was silently crying.

"It’s not ...." he subtly peered at Kang who was still shivering in his arms. He gently patted his back in order to soothe him a bit. But that just made him shiver even more.

’I have to get out of here fast.’

"I’m sorry I shall take my leave" he flew up into the air carefully holding Zhu Kang.

"Are you cold?" he carefully wrapped his cape around his body.

A small cold tear hit his shoulders.

’Shit... he is crying... he must still be scared...’

Flying away to the academy now will definitely scare the young man even more. he stopped on a terrace and gently placed Kang down. "Hey, Kang it’s okay. We are out of the woods. I’m here. I won’t let anything happen to you.."

Suddenly, the young man grabbed onto his arm desperately. "please.. I’m sorry.. don’t take to prison. I didn’t do it deliberately. I didn’t... I’m not..."

"shh shh..I’m not taking you to prison," he hurriedly whispered back.

Zhu Kang froze, looking up at him with his eyes wide open. "You’re not?"

"I know you were forced by those bad n to do that Kang. The people vouched for you. Why would I take you to prison? You were a hero."

"A what now?"

"A hero," he gently caressed his pale wet cheeks. "When did you realize you were a super Kang?"

"I-I... I kind of smashed a car door handle.. and.... a table... it was weird.."

Aaron’s heart went out to him. This young man just recently must have discovered his own powers.

Usually, it is hard for a super who gains his powers at an older age to comprehend the change.

Most of them go berserk and cause accidents or go to the dark side working for the villain.

Most of the supers are discovered as young kids below the age of ten. Any chance of being discovered above the age of 18 is a big rarity.

Those kids get easily derailed and get recruited by the bad guys.

’I guess it was one of the villain’s attempts to recruit him... they must have been tailing him for a long ti to even know about his powers. Poor kid..’ he gently pulled back his hair and kissed his forehead.

Kang hugged his neck tightly. "Thank you... thank you. I didn’t want to go to prison. It was a mistake. I won’t do it again."

"You have to guide you. You didn’t have to be afraid any longer. I will help you harness your powers,"

"Eh?" the younger man confusedly looked up. "I.. I don’t want to..."

"But you have to. You are very powerful Kang. If you don’t harness your powers, you might end up hurting normal humans. That’s why I’m taking you to the academy. There you can learn to be a super alongside bright minds just like yours."

"EHHHHH!!!!!" Zhu Kang’s mind completely malfunctioned listening to his revelation. "Academy? You don’t an...."

"Mighty lights academy. It’s a prestigious academy that will accept only the best of the best ability users. The recruitnt for this year is yet to happen, but since you know , you get a free pass."

’Free pass? Academy?’ Kang could not control his expression anymore. He grimaced. "um... can I not. I really don’t want to be a hero."

Aaron looked visibly confused by his statent. "Why not?"

"Because I just don’t. I’m not heroic in any way possible and I don’t think I will ever use my powers. I don’t want this Aaron,"

"Gasp," Aaron gasped loudly with a shocked look on his face. "how did you?.."

Kang was shocked as well by the slip-up. Of course, he knew that superhero Zain was Aaron, but it was a secret to others. "Fuck! Why do I keep ssing up?’

"Your hair is a dead giveaway. You must know that, right? Plus I know about Altren. I swear I won’t tell on you or him. I swear on my life. So please... can I go ho? I just want to eat so ice cream and sleep on my brother’s dusty sofa."

He looked up at him, hopeful that he will agree.

"I can’t do that, Kang. It’s the rule. Every nonregistered super has to register in one of the super academies and get a certificate of approval to leave. Only then will they be allowed into normal society," Aaron gently caressed his cheeks.

’You don’t understand man! My brother hates heroes and I’m a fucking villain!!’ he internally scread.

But on the outside he smiled fakely. "is.. is that so? Ha-ha... that sounds about right....why don’t I join so other academy huh. What options do I have?"

"Well... you have youth correction centre, which is a hidden super school. I personally don’t prefer it, too many supers in there who are out of control. And there is a hospital which is a guise for our super school,"

"What hospital?"

"ntal and psychological rehabilitation center."

Kang’s mind went on overload. ’Both options sound bad. I don’t want to go to a ntal institution nor a youth correction center. That’s like a jail, right? ahhhh why... why...’

"I don’t want to go to either,"

"Then you are left with Mighty lights. Don’t worry, I will be there and Altren also will be there if it consoles you,"

Kang rolled his eyes subtly. ’Great, now I have to deal with hormonal heroes and an over grown puppy. Aweso... this is a very very very shitty day.’
