"Miss, you've truly awoken."

"Huh..."

Amidst the murmurs of the crowd, Yeon sat on the bed with a dazed expression. Then, soone pushed through the crowd and stepped forward.

"Yeon, are you alright?"

The person who cautiously spoke was a man with sharp, piercing eyes. Despite the intensity of his gaze, his overall deanor was calm and warm, clearly a noble figure.

As Yeon blinked, his na and brief information appeared in her mind.

'Hwang Bo Jeonggun. The head of the Hwang Bo family and the father of Hwang Bo Yeon.'

As soon as this realization hit, mories from the body’s original owner flooded in, rushing in like water bursting from a broken dam. Yeon placed her hand on her forehead, overco by a sudden headache caused by the overwhelming influx of information.

"Ugh..."

"Yeon!"

Hwang Bo Jeonggun called out his daughter's na with urgency, his large fra betraying his helplessness.

anwhile, Yeon struggled to process the mories. From Hwang Bo Yeon's childhood to just before she had collapsed, scenes she had never seen before seeped into her mind, filling the void.

It felt like she was recovering forgotten mories. Events that had never happened in her life now felt as though they had actually occurred. It was an eerie experience, sothing Yeon had never encountered before.

Hwang Bo Jeonggun spoke in a calm voice, trying to reassure her.

"You’ve been lying down for a while, so you’re probably not fully recovered. Please, don’t overexert yourself."

Though this was her first ti seeing him, Yeon instinctively thought of him as her father. Well, more accurately, he was Hwang Bo Yeon’s father, but as she accepted the mories, she could no longer easily separate herself from Hwang Bo Yeon.

It felt as if two identities were coexisting. Yeon’s own consciousness was dominant, but still, she needed ti to make sense of the situation.

"Yeon, you’ve really woken up..."

Hwang Bo Jeonggun mumbled, overwheld with emotion, his voice trailing off. It almost sounded like a bear trying to hold back tears.

In the solemn atmosphere, Yeon, unable to join in, spoke up.

"U-um... So, I’m Hwang Bo Yeon, right?"

At her confirmation, the girl who had brought the herbal dicine earlier quickly responded.

"Yes, miss."

The cute, youthful-looking girl was nad So Jin. Yeon now realized that she had been the one who had been taking care of her since childhood.

"So Jin..."

"Yes, miss. It's , So Jin. Ugh, sniffle..."

So Jin's face flushed as she wiped her eyes with her sleeve. She was shedding the tears that Hwang Bo Jeonggun couldn’t, out of consideration for the people around them.

A quiet sense of emotion spread through the room, though Yeon, the person at the center of it all, was untouched by it.

"Could you please leave the room for now?"

Yeon mumbled, swallowing the words that followed, "I need so ti to think."

"I’ve just woken up, so..."

Hwang Bo Jeonggun hastily dismissed the others at her words.

"Goodness, look at . Yes, we need to ensure she rests. Everyone, please step out! I’ll check on Yeon’s condition slowly."

"Yes, head of the family."

"Understood."

The people quickly left the room, just as they had co in. It was a surprisingly subdued response for the family’s only daughter waking up from what seed to be a long illness. However, Yeon didn’t have the luxury of worrying about that.

Once Hwang Bo Jeonggun left, Yeon was finally able to gather her thoughts.

"So, I’m Hwang Bo Yeon?"

"Yes, miss. Who else could you possibly be if not Hwang Bo Yeon?"

The proud response ca from So Jin, who had stayed behind to avoid any confusion. Yeon stared at her for a mont before asking.

"So Jin, do you happen to have a mirror?"

"Yes, miss. There’s a small one, and there’s even a large one over there. You always..."

Leaving behind the chattering So Jin, Yeon moved toward the mirror. There, a strange yet familiar girl with a delicate, pure appearance was looking back at her.

The Hwang Bo Yeon in the novel was described as a slender beauty with skin as white as snow. Her dazzling appearance was likened to a plum blossom in full bloom, and seeing her in person, it was the perfect description.

‘They say she was called the most beautiful in Shandong.’

She was also quite tall. Even Yeon, who ca from the modern world, found her stature striking, and her body was quite graceful.

It was ntioned in the novel that people from the Hwang Bo family were known for their good physique, and it seed Yeon had inherited that trait perfectly. Hwang Bo Yeon’s waist was slim yet incredibly sensual. It was a body that contrasted sharply with Yeon’s own, which was lean and athletic, but nonetheless idealized in the novel.

‘But typically, possession happens to the female lead or those around her, doesn’t it? Hwang Bo Yeon...’

Yeon sifted through her mories of The Martial World Supre. The Hwang Bo Yeon she knew was not the female lead but a minor character. She had a solid background and stunning looks, but she had one significant flaw as a martial artist.

That flaw was her extrely weak character.

Hwang Bo Yeon couldn’t use martial arts against people. She couldn’t even swing a sword or throw a punch.

Perhaps in peaceful tis, that wouldn’t have been much of an issue, but the martial world in the story was about to plunge into chaos. The appearance of Bai Huajiao would bring disaster to the land.

Hwang Bo Yeon would be caught up in the turmoil, manipulated, and eventually killed. Her death would bring down her family’s head, Hwang Bo Jeonggun, and the entire Hwang Bo family would be destroyed.

Of course, the Hwang Bo family was not a household that could easily be brought down. Several additional factors played a role in its eventual downfall, and they were...

Thud thud thud!

The sound of soone knocking on the door broke Yeon's train of thought. So Jin, who had no prior notice, raised an eyebrow at the unexpected knock.

"Didn't we say the young miss needs to rest?"

So Jin sharply voiced her complaint as she opened the door to find a man who seed to be one of the Hwang Bo family's retainers standing there. He awkwardly t her disapproving gaze, looking uncomfortable.

"Don't you know the young miss's condition? To barge in like this..."

"No, it's not that. Young Master Paeng has arrived."

"Eh?"

So Jin, her eyes wide with surprise, hurriedly ran over to Yeon.

"Miss! Young Master Paeng is here! What should we do? We weren't prepared at all..."

"Young Master?"

"Could it be that you don't rember? He is your fiancé, Paeng Donghu from the Paeng family."

So Jin, who was frantically pacing, unintentionally helped Yeon piece together the fragnted thoughts.

Paeng Donghu, and the Hubei Paeng family. These were the nas that played the most decisive role in bringing down the Hwang Bo family.

Just then, soone pushed past the retainer and boldly entered the room.

"You really have woken up."

Paeng Donghu, unlike most martial artists, had a notably plump build. He wore a larger-than-usual robe, and his physique, which didn’t quite fit the image of a martial artist, only made his figure appear even larger. Though he was still not comparable to soone like Hwang Bo Jeonggun, who was naturally built.

Yeon observed him through the mories of Hwang Bo Yeon, seeing him from the perspective of an outsider.

This man was the one who had made the already weak Hwang Bo Yeon even more helpless. His skill at gaslighting was exceptional, and after rifling through the mories of Hwang Bo Yeon, it was clear that his manipulation had started long ago. If she hadn’t fallen ill, Yeon was sure that by now, things would have been far worse.

Unaware of Yeon's thoughts, Paeng Donghu smiled kindly at So Jin.

"Could you please step outside for a mont?"

"Yes, Young Master."

So Jin, without any hesitation, left the room. It was clear that she still didn't understand the true nature of the man.

Now left alone, Paeng Donghu's expression shifted slightly. The change was subtle, but Yeon noticed it imdiately. The second son of the Paeng family, who had been polite even to troublemakers, was now slowly dropping his mask. He casually walked toward ✪ Nоvеlіgһt ✪ (Official version) Yeon from behind and whispered softly.

"You've been lying down for far too long."

Yeon held her breath at the touch on her shoulder. It wasn’t from anxiety, but from anger.

At this ti, Paeng Donghu was in the midst of frequent visits to the brothels, having given up on training after becoming disappointed in his lack of talent in martial arts.

Yet, now, he was acting as though he had never been absent, making gestures that seed all too familiar with what he'd done during his visits. It was infuriating.

Just as Yeon had anticipated, Paeng Donghu’s fingers, which had been caressing her round shoulder, moved towards her collarbone. As his hand began to travel downward, he spoke.

"Do you know how difficult it’s been for ?"

It was a typical bla-shifting tactic. If he could treat soone who had just woken up like this, how bad had it been before? Unable to hold back, Yeon finally spoke.

"Stop it."

Normally, she would have wanted to flip everything upside down. But Paeng Donghu hadn’t yet crossed the line, and above all, Yeon was still uncertain. She wasn’t sure if she had the right to change Hwang Bo Yeon’s life or if she even should.

As though to provoke her, Paeng Donghu let out a small chuckle.

"I’ve told you so many tis, Yeon. I’m your fiancé."

"So?"

"So? You should know that these things are necessary between lovers. It's only because it's that I’ve tolerated this much. Don’t you think you’ve gone too far?"

This dialogue had not been present in the novel.

"Are you planning to annul the engagent? If so, the bla will fall on you, of course. And I’ll have to go into detail about the reasons."

It was then that Yeon understood why Hwang Bo Yeon had been so easily manipulated by Paeng Donghu. Breaking off the engagent and accusations of fault were things that soone with Hwang Bo Yeon’s fragile nature could never handle.

Paeng Donghu, mistaking Yeon’s silence for obedience, moved his hand again. His bold movents, driven by a sense of conquest, reached an increasingly uncomfortable position. The sensation was more than unpleasant—it made her feel repulsed.

"You stopped before last ti because your father barged in. That oblivious man spoils you too much. He doesn’t even realize how it’s ruining you."

His hand snaked like a serpent into the folds of her clothes. That was the mont Yeon’s patience snapped.

It seed that it was ti to correct Paeng Donghu’s mistaken assumptions. After all, the Yeon in Hwang Bo Yeon’s body wasn’t soone who would silently endure such treatnt.

"Hey."

With a sharp motion, Yeon grabbed Paeng Donghu’s wrist and glared at him. Before he could even speak, Yeon’s cold voice cut through the air.

"Take your hands off, you piece of trash."
