Chapter 2864 Forfex's Inheritance
Minos frowned as he looked at Forfex's soul fragnt. "What do you an?" He asked in a surprised tone. "You failed one of the final floors of the second phase of the inheritance. Didn't that kill you?"
"I failed?" the Forfex soul fragnt asked with genuine surprise. "Well, that's a sha. I obviously don't know anything about what happened after my main version created . I didn't expect to hear that I failed...
The last part of the soul fragnt's words sounded genuinely disappointed, as if he really had expected reality to be different.
The won of Minos looked at each other, with Gloria unable to help asking, "What's going on here? Why do you think you're alive? We ca here precisely because you died."
Forfex didn't know who Gloria was exactly, but he looked at her as if she were an old acquaintance. "I don't know what happened in the last phase of the True Celestial's inheritance, but my main version created this place in case he died or was unable to return here. Before advancing to level 115, he planned to leave this world and make his breakthrough on another planet. I rember him locating so of the inheritance competitors here and that made him look for an alternative world to be on during his advancent."
"But why did you imply that you're not dead? As a soul fragnt, you should be able to know that." Minos pointed out the critical point of the matter.
Forfex's soul fragnt looked at this friend who he thought was there to help his main version. "My real self is alive. I can feel it."
Minos beca a few grades more serious at these words, but remained silent, giving the soul fragnt the chance to speak.
"I feel I will disappear from this form and return to my creator before long. This is as clear to as the presence of the four of you in my office!" He said, his eyes shifting focus as they seed to stare off into the distance. "I don't know where my main self is now, but he's alive. Alive and well, I'd say. The feeling I get is not that of soone mortally wounded or in trouble. It tells I will be stronger when I return to my main self."
'Is that even possible?" Minos wondered silently. 'I thought that by speaking of inheritance, one would have their True Celestial parts removed by Devdar. But sothing like that would cause the death of...
In the midst of his thoughts, Minos questioned the soul fragnt in front of him, "Did you succeed in your research? Failing the test you failed should cause you to lose your Absolute grade absorbable weapons. You know that would kill anyone, right?"
The soul fragnt opened its mouth, understanding why Minos thought he had died. "So that's what happened... Well, in that case, my main self must have completed the last step that was missing for us to complete our research.
As you may already know, Minos, we were looking for sothing that would enable us to escape from the True Celestial's inheritance so that we wouldn't have to face you. If my true self went through what you described, then he must have applied our thod at the last mont and succeeded in what he had been preparing for centuries!"
The soul fragnt's voice improved several grades as he spoke, clearly thrilled to hear what Minos had told him, the confirmation of his suspicions.
"So that's it..." Minos understood the situation, while his wives realized what they would get in this inheritance.
Abby, however, didn't get excited too quickly. She asked, "He managed to use this thod, but would you know what thod exactly he used? You two, after all, have a difference in levels and understanding that we can't ignore."
The fragnt looked at the woman and confird her concern. "In fact, I can't say for sure. At the ti my true self created , we had three theories. They're basically very different from each other, so only one of them could be the answer you're looking for. I can give you all three, but I can't say which one he used."
"That would be a problem." Abby looked at Minos.
It would be very useful for them to have a safe thod of removing absorbable weapons from a body without threatening its life. They couldn't help thinking there how good it would be to sever the only connection they had with Hell, sothing that would make them invisible and much harder to find by the Devils who would soon be hunting them. Not only that, sothing like this would allow Abby to solve her problem and have the chance to enter the Upper Realm.
But all this would only work if they got the thod right...
"That's not a problem," Minos said, after thinking for a mont about the problems and possibilities surrounding them. "I'll use my powers and get which of the three is the right thod. Forfex managed it, so I'll manage it too."
"Was that an offense?" Forfex's soul fragnt teased Minos.
Minos smiled at him, clicking his tongue. But he wasn't belittling his old ally, nor was he putting himself in a higher position than he should have. As soone who had reached the Absolute grade of his Physique being just a Supre, Minos had an understanding that rivaled that of the strongest Devils in Hell.
As long as he had access to Forfex's research, he was confident that he would arrive at the correct answer to his doubts!
"So what do I need to do for you to hand over these thods?" Minos asked, aware that Forfex wouldn't give them to him just because they were friends. This was an exchange, and he himself was willing to fulfill it before he got anything.
The soul fragnt said, "If I could, I would give you the thod even before you fulfill this mission, Minos. I know that for the current you, this will be easy and you wouldn't lie to fool . However, my main self didn't know if you would be the one to co here when he created . The complete thod of our research is elsewhere, in the sa area where you are to find our loved ones. There, you'll have to help them if necessary and deliver what I've asked you for. You'll find the complete thod in the basent of my old house."
As he spoke, a map ford in front of him, marking the location of the mission and the position of Forfex's inheritance.
