[AuntieNextDoor: Right! What did I say back when they were on The Quest? Didn’t Alice always act against Hera while keeping an eye on Xavier? It was obvious even then! She wanted all the attention on herself and couldn’t stand Hera being in the spotlight.]
[AuntieNextDoor: That’s why she was so eager to steal Hera’s n and even her fa. Rember when she accused Hera of stealing her role, only for it to be completely debunked with solid evidence that Hera got the part fair and square?]
[AuntieNextDoor: I just can’t bring myself to like this Alice girl... Sothing about her feels off.]
[JessieLove: I know, right?! Have you noticed how she’s been livestreaming almost every day, showing off her luxurious lifestyle? One day, she’s cruising on her yacht, the next, she’s shopping in high-end malls, and then she’s driving around in a fancy sports car. Honestly, I watch her streams too—because let’s be real, we all love a little glimpse of that kind of lifestyle. But the real question is, how is she affording all of this? Is she so kind of secret heiress or what?]
[PasserbyGod: If she were really an heiress, would she even need to steal soone else’s man? For all we know, she might just be faking her luxurious lifestyle—renting everything she flaunts online. Maybe she’s burning through too much money and now needs a quick fix, which is why she’s trying to hook so wealthy guys.]
[PasserbyGod: After all, both Young Minister Dave and our genius Doctor Zhane co from influential families that highly value their reputation. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s scheming to use public opinion to pressure them into taking responsibility for her.]
[PasserbyGod: For all we know, she might be putting all her eggs in one basket just to escape poverty and secure a truly wealthy lifestyle.]
[HeraIsMySister: Now that you ntion it, @PasserbyGod, this actually makes a lot of sense. Both Young Minister Dave and Doctor Zhane are from wealthy families, and my sister Hera is now the goddaughter of the Lowerys. It’s no surprise that she’s living a luxurious life—the Lowery family certainly has the ans to provide for her. But what about Alice Quinn? Where is her wealth really coming from?]
[LivingHealthy: I may not be wealthy, but I do know a thing or two. I’ve been following Alice’s livestreams from the very beginning, and I’ve been aning to say this for a while. However, every ti I brought it up, her fans accused of spreading false rumors or being a hater. But here’s the truth—I discovered that Alice isn’t actually as rich as she claims to be. Most of the luxury items she flaunts online, like her sports car and yacht, are actually rentals.]
[LivingHealthy: How do I know this? Well, one of the influencers I follow happened to rent the exact sa yacht Alice showcased on her stream. They even shared details on where to rent it. Out of curiosity, I looked into it myself and found that the yacht could be booked for a few thousand dollars per day. That made wonder about her sports car too... and guess what I found? (JPEG.image)]
[LivingHealthy: I just found out that she rented both the sports car and the Rolls-Royce from the sa luxury car rental service, which costs a few thousand dollars per day.]
[LivingHealthy: So I really think @PasserbyGod has a point. Alice Quinn wants the public to believe she’s a wealthy woman, but in reality, she’s just creating a false persona. Now that this has co to light, it makes perfect sense why she’s so desperate for a wealthy boyfriend—to maintain the luxurious lifestyle she can’t afford on her own, especially since her career isn’t even doing that well.]
....
Many people started coming forward to expose Alice, and her social dia accounts were flooded with backlash. Her agency, Rafael’s entertainnt company, was instructed not to support her—an order that ca directly from Rafael himself.
After all, he had been dragged into this scandal, and while Alice wasn’t the mastermind behind the sche to ensnare him, she was still involved. Since she had played a role in drugging him, it was only expected that Rafael would retaliate—not just against the woman who tried to trap him, but against Alice as well.
As soon as he woke up, Rafael imdiately called his company and ordered them not to support Alice. Even Alice’s manager did nothing more than take her ho and instruct her to lay low for the ti being.
Although the manager initially directed the PR team to handle damage control, Rafael intervened, halting all efforts to mitigate the backlash. As a result, SOE has yet to release any statent in Alice’s defense—making it clear that they have already given up on her.
At the sa ti, Zhane called in his sources to investigate how they had been drugged, only to discover that it was the sa perfu-based aphrodisiac that had once been used on Leo.
anwhile, Leo had been busy for this exact reason—he had caught wind of the case and had been relentlessly searching for answers. Ever since he first t Hera, he had been investigating the incident.
After all, he had just returned to the country when he was drugged, and the experience nearly cost him a bad first impression in front of Hera. That alone made him determined to uncover who was behind it and how such a dangerous aphrodisiac had infiltrated their territory.
When Leo went out to investigate, he was determined to get to the bottom of the incident. His search led him to the discovery that one of the female attendees at the event had obtained the perfu-based aphrodisiac.
She had managed to drug Rafael, Zhane, Luke, and Dave without the need for spiked drinks—she simply remained at a safe distance while letting the sll perate into the air. At the sa ti, Alice had sent a waiter to lace their drinks with a separate drug.
As a result, Dave, Rafael, Luke, and Zhane had been targeted from both angles. Even if they had avoided consuming the drugged drinks, they were still exposed to the airborne aphrodisiac, which required only inhalation to take effect.
The problem with this type of drug, however, was its slow-acting nature. Based on its effects, they could only assu they had unknowingly inhaled it long before Hera and Athena drank their spiked beverages.
It wasn’t until the wines fully took hold in their systems that the drug’s effects beca evident, kicking in just as everything else unfolded.
Now, Leo, Zhane, and Hera had received the report. Leo, on the other hand, was personally tracking down the distributor of the drug, running around to uncover its source in the market. anwhile, Hera had assigned Gerald to conduct a thorough investigation. After all, this type of drug was already prohibited by the governnt and was being distributed in secret.
As luck would have it, the woman who targeted Rafael had a direct connection to the distributor, which significantly advanced Leo’s investigation. Gerald, rather than interfering, chose to follow closely behind, allowing Leo to lead the way while he trailed like a piranha drawn to blood—an efficient and effective way to get to the root of the problem.
Leo, in particular, had a personal vendetta against this perfu-based aphrodisiac. Having already fallen victim to it once and then been drugged a second ti, he was determined to eliminate its presence entirely.
Although Luke, Rafael, Zhane, and Dave were lounging with Hera, the truth was that they had already dispatched their assistants to take action. Leo, however, was the only one personally on the move.
He wanted to ensure he obtained all the information firsthand and that those behind the distribution wouldn’t have a chance to escape. Confident in his ability to uproot the entire operation in one decisive strike, he led the charge himself.
So, while Hera appeared relaxed, Leo and his team were already executing an operation to take down the cartel.
"I don’t want anyone slipping through—whether it’s the small fry or the big fish, they all go down," Leo said, wiping down his silver Desert Eagle. His eyes were dark and nacing, the aura of cold fury radiating from him enough to send a shiver down Terry’s spine.
"Sir, do we need to capture them alive or..." Terry hesitated, unable to finish his sentence when Leo’s piercing gaze locked onto him. The chilling intensity in Leo’s eyes made him swallow hard.
"We need to trace the source—where they’re getting these drugs, who’s distributing them, and how they managed to smuggle them in when we’ve already taken down several known suppliers and manufacturers," Leo said, leaning back against the seat. His voice was calm, but the deadly undertone was unmistakable.
"Understood, sir. I’m sending our people in now," Terry responded, signaling the team.
The SUV behind them opened, and a squad of ard operatives in black swiftly erged, moving with practiced efficiency. Each was equipped with assault rifles, with handguns as backup.
As they fanned out and secured the periter, Leo stepped out of the car. The mont his boots hit the pavent, the n instinctively parted, standing at attention on either side, silently acknowledging his command.
"Sir, we can handle this. You should still—" Terry started, his voice laced with concern as he tried to dissuade Leo from getting involved personally.
But the sharp look Leo shot him made the words die in his throat. The intensity in Leo’s gaze was enough to freeze Terry in place. He knew, without a doubt, that once Leo had made up his mind, there was no stopping him.
No matter what Terry said or did, Leo was going in.
