Both staff mbers tried to act subtle, but Emily still caught their reaction. To her, their behavior only confird what she had suspected—Hera was nothing more than a broke student living off loans, pretending to be wealthy just to gain access to this exclusive hub and catch the attention of a rich man.
Her gaze darkened with disdain as she looked at Hera, scoffing at her greed. ’As if having Xavier by her side isn’t enough—she’s still out here looking for another sugar daddy?’
She shot Hera a pointed look, but to her frustration, she was completely ignored.
’Ha! Keep up your little act. Let’s see who ends up humiliated in the end,’ Emily thought with a smug snort.
"Hera? Are you here to check out this new place too?"
The tense atmosphere was suddenly interrupted by a newcor entering from outside. As Hera, Athena, and the rest of the onlookers turned to look, they saw Zen strolling in casually, completely unfazed by the gathered crowd.
"Want to eat together?" he added, now standing in front of Hera. Without hesitation, he reached out and ruffled her hair, the gesture affectionate—like an older brother doting on his younger sister.
"Oh! Now that you know you’re failing the financial assessnt, you called for backup so you wouldn’t lose face, huh? Such a scheming woman," Emily sneered, as if a lightbulb had just gone off in her head.
Seeing Zen approach so casually, completely unbothered by the crowd, she imdiately assud he was already aware of the situation and had co to bail Hera out.
However, what she failed to realize was that neither Hera nor Athena had even touched their phones—aning her accusation was baseless.
Instead of making a clever remark, she had only made herself look unreasonable and foolish.
Zen didn’t even spare Emily a glance, completely ignoring her as if acknowledging her existence would lower his IQ. Instead, he turned to Hera and spoke casually,
"You want a mbership here? I can give you my supplentary card. I have a platinum mbership, which allows to issue one to a family mber."
His words subtly backed Hera up, making Emily grind her teeth in sheer frustration.
"No need," Hera replied with a warm smile. "But thank you anyway, Brother Zen."
Hearing her call him Brother Zen made Zen grin from ear to ear, clearly pleased. anwhile, Emily found the sight utterly infuriating.
"Hera, so you were waiting for Brother Zen all along? If you had just said so, Emily wouldn’t have said all those things or exposed your secret," Alice said innocently.
Then, as if just realizing what she had blurted out, she gasped and covered her mouth, her wide-eyed expression making it seem like an accidental slip.
She quickly shot Hera an apologetic look, her gaze filled with guilt and regret—an act that made her appear all the more sincere in the eyes of the crowd.
Many of the young n watching couldn’t help but see Alice as straightforward and honest, a trait they associated with her youth.
In contrast, Hera now seed like a pretentious woman in their eyes. Though they found her looks and figure appealing, it wasn’t enough to impress them—after all, they had encountered plenty of beautiful won in their social circles while fooling around.
Hera raised an eyebrow but remained silent, completely ignoring Alice. In the past, she would have gone head-to-head with her and her entourage, but constantly engaging in their petty gas was exhausting. Besides, defending herself now would only make her seem guilty in the eyes of the onlookers.
The easiest solution? Simply wait for the financial assessnt to be completed and let the results speak for themselves.
She didn’t have to wait long. The establishnt had a specialized system connected to an extensive database of influential individuals who could potentially beco their clientele in the future. This information, in fact, originated from the Hendrix family’s intelligence departnt.
When the staff accessed Hera’s profile, they were imdiately t with a locked file marked with the highest level of clearance. However, what caught their attention even more was that a mbership had already been issued to her—one of the ultra-exclusive Rainbow Cards.
This card wasn’t sothing just anyone could obtain. It was a rare privilege, created exclusively by the owner of the establishnt, ant to be given only to family mbers or the closest of friends. Only five of them existed.
This was why the two staff mbers were taken aback. It ant that Hera was already a VIP mber with the highest mbership tier—one that wasn’t even available to the public.
Due to the exclusivity of the Rainbow Card, it required additional ti to process. The staff mber handling Hera’s financial check imdiately sent a notification to the manager, informing him that a Rainbow-tier VIP had arrived. Without delay, they needed to retrieve the pre-prepared card from the safe.
Realizing the gravity of the situation, the staff mber let out a quiet sigh of relief. She was grateful that she hadn’t succumbed to Emily’s taunts or participated in trying to humiliate Hera. Had she done so, she would have surely lost her job the mont the truth ca to light.
"Working in the service industry is really like walking on a tightrope," she thought, feeling as if she had just narrowly dodged a bullet.
The staff straightened her posture and looked at Hera with newfound respect.
"Ma’am, please allow us a mont to finalize your mbership," she said politely. Then, with a subtle glance at Athena, she added, "Would you like to proceed with the highest-tier mbership for your account?"
Athena nodded in agreent, and Hera responded with a calm, polite tone.
"Yes, please," she said, neither smug nor entitled.
Her composed response made it clear to everyone present—without the staff having to explicitly announce it—that she had successfully passed the financial assessnt. Her mbership card was now being processed, solidifying her eligibility without the need for unnecessary fanfare.
Emily and Alice were utterly stunned. This revelation ant that Hera had at least a few million dollars in her account—enough to qualify for even the lowest mbership tier of the establishnt. But what shocked them even more was the staff’s question about whether she wanted the highest mbership available to her.
This implied that Hera wasn’t just eligible for the basic tier—she qualified for sothing a little higher. The real question now was just how high her status truly was. They could only wait for the card’s release to find out.
Not long after, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed through the establishnt, resembling soone sprinting in a marathon. Monts later, a thin man with disheveled hair, silver-frad glasses, and a leather briefcase erged from within the building.
Those familiar with the establishnt imdiately recognized him as the manager. Typically, he only made brief appearances to acknowledge important clients, such as diamond and platinum cardholders, offering a polite nod and a few words before retreating. Yet today, he appeared flustered—sothing no one had ever seen before.
Despite the establishnt being relatively new, the processing of mbership cards had been ongoing for quite so ti. Word had already spread that this was a premier networking hub, rivaling the prestigious Golden Dragon Pavilion. And in the business world, such hubs were invaluable.
