"Leo, can you tell how you ended up like this?" Hera inquired gently, her concern overriding any discomfort from their peculiar position. She was genuinely worried for him; if he was indeed cornered and sothing happened, it would be disastrous, leaving him alone in this situation could be dangerous. Who knows how many people out there might take advantage of him?

Hera’s actions weren’t driven by re nosiness but by a sense of duty and compassion. Seeing Leo in need of help, she couldn’t ignore the situation just because they were strangers. She believed in doing what was right, guided by empathy and the teachings of her ancestors. She hoped that if she were ever in a similar situation, soone would extend a helping hand to her as well.

Leo shook his head, his face still buried in Hera’s neck. His voice was tinged with a mixture of dread and anger as he recalled what happened. "I never eat or drink anything at parties when I’m out," he said, his tone growing colder with each word. "I have no idea how I ended up like this."

Hera delved into her thoughts, she consulted with Cindy to explore the array of anaphrodisiacs available when she said she needed to bring an antidote with her wherever and whenever. Drawing from her encounters with various aphrodisiacs list, she began to form a hypothesis. Turning to Leo, she shared her insight. "Based on what I’ve learned, it could have been either an incense or, more likely, a perfu infused with a potent aphrodisiac and its scent is enough to drug you."

Hera took a mont to gather her thoughts before continuing. "Moreover, so aphrodisiacs are specifically formulated for n, ensuring that the female wearer remains unaffected by their influence," she explained in detail.

Leo chuckled, his grip on Hera tightening with a mix of anger and uncertainty. "How do you know so much about aphrodisiacs?" he inquired, his tone betraying a hint of suspicion. "Planning on using one on soone else?" His words, if misinterpreted, might have been mistaken for jealousy.

Hera snorted dismissively. "Why would I even need to use one?" She gently pushed him away, her legs feeling slightly numb from maintaining their position for so long. "Since you seem alright now, I’ll be going back to the auction hall. Hmph!" With that, she made a move to stand up and leave.

Hera hadn’t even taken a full step when Leo pulled her back onto his lap, his arms encircling her slim waist. Now facing the cubicle door, Hera felt Leo’s breath on her neck once more as he nestled closer.

"Stay for a bit," he said, his tone commanding yet tinged with a hint of pleading, devoid of arrogance.

Hera gritted her teeth. "Don’t try to take advantage of !"

"Don’t worry, I’m not," Leo responded almost instantly. His breathing beca regular, and the bulge beneath Hera began to ease with each passing minute.

Hera was left speechless, unsure whether to laugh or cry. Leo’s unexpected calmness around her felt like a blow to her pride. While she wasn’t seeking to be pinned down and ravaged by him, realizing that her usual feminine charm seed ineffective made her feel strangely invisible. It was a disconcerting revelation she hadn’t anticipated.

Desperate to leave the situation behind, she struggled to break free from his grasp, but his strength far exceeded hers, rendering her efforts futile. He remained as immovable as a boulder, refusing to release her. She ceased her attempts to squirm free, fearing it might provoke another unexpected response.

As he rested his head on her neck, she allowed him to stay there, remaining still while maintaining her caution about what might transpire next. Although prepared to defend herself if necessary, she decided to take a mont to rest. Her body had been tense since their encounter began, and the constant vigilance around Leo had drained her energy, leaving her feeling utterly exhausted.

As Hera’s tense muscles gradually relaxed within his embrace, Leo couldn’t help but emit a soft, lodic chuckle. Inhaling deeply, he took in Hera’s intoxicating scent, feeling the fog in his mind begin to dissipate. While his desires had initially surged within him, he now found them gradually subsiding. It wasn’t that he was immune to Hera’s allure or the temptation to succumb to his impulses, but the thought of his fiancée’s potential disdain lingered heavily in his mind.

That’s right, Leo was Hera’s fiancé, a union arranged by their grandparents long before Hera was born. The intention was to solidify their families’ bond, aiming for a relationship deeper than re friendship, aspiring for the creation of a true family through their future grandchildren.

In their era, arranged marriages were commonplace, yet there was a mutual agreent between their families. If Leo and Hera didn’t fall in love with each other, their elders pledged not to impose the marriage upon them against their wishes.

Leo had long awaited this mont, anticipating the eting with his fiancee. However, the fact that he had left such an unfavorable first impression on his future wife was causing him considerable distress.

He could still vividly recall the day his grandfather took him to the Avery Mansion when he was just four years old, and Hera was a newborn baby. In his mind’s eye, he could see Hera’s tiny hands grasping his index finger, her gummy smile as he gently poked her cheeks.

He pledged to protect her as they grew older, a commitnt he upheld by discreetly watching over her as she matured. However, following his college graduation, his grandfather sent him abroad to broaden his horizons. Leo’s demanding schedule made it difficult for him to stay updated on Hera’s life, and he was heartbroken to discover she had entered a relationship with Alexi.

Leo felt betrayed, prompting him to sever ties with their country and channel all his energy into his work abroad. Despite his success and growing network, thoughts of Hera lingered persistently. His grandfather observed Leo’s inner turmoil, witnessing his struggle to move on. Leo couldn’t entertain the idea of being with anyone else; his heart remained steadfastly tethered to Hera, his mind consud by thoughts of her.

The burden of his unrequited love weighed heavily on Leo, evoking sympathy from his grandfather for arranging his marriage before he had matured.

The Hendrix n were ingrained with the values of loyalty and fidelity, taught to cherish and love only one woman. Divorce and infidelity were grounds for excommunication from the family.

Despite this, Leo remained steadfast in his devotion to Hera, viewing her as his future wife from the mont he laid eyes on her. His thoughts and conversations often revolved around her, consud by her presence even in her absence.

Upon learning from his friend, Old Master Avery, that Hera had broken up with her boyfriend, Old Master Hendrix wasted no ti. Almost imdiately after the call with his friend ended, he dialed his grandson’s number, eager to share the news and potentially give Leo a chance to fight back and try to woo Hera.

The news from his grandfather left Leo utterly dumbfounded for a good half an hour. He struggled to grasp the reality of the situation, unable to believe that Hera was once again available. But as the news slowly sank in, Leo abandoned all his important arrangents for the day and hastily made his way back ho.

Returning ho, Leo was filled with a mix of emotions. However, his excitent was quickly overshadowed by fury when he was drugged by an aphrodisiac in an attempt to get to his pants, putting Hera in potential danger. This revelation left him seething with anger, as their interference had completely disrupted the romantic first eting he had painstakingly prepared for Hera.

Fortunately, Leo’s feelings for Hera were genuine and untainted. Instead of succumbing to base desires during this torturous mont, he felt a profound sense of calmness, realizing that the person he had yearned for was now in his embrace. At that mont, an overwhelming sense of happiness washed over him, filling him with indescribable joy.

Certainly, Leo decided not to disclose their supposed relationship to Hera at the mont, especially since she had recently ended her previous relationship. He didn’t want her to perceive his actions as taking advantage of her vulnerability.

He desired Hera to beco acquainted with him before revealing their supposed marriage alliance, granting her the opportunity to make her own choice. Despite his strong feelings for her, Leo believed it wasn’t sufficient grounds to impose his emotions upon her.

He cleared his throat and reluctantly released Hera from his embrace, expressing his gratitude. "Thank you for helping . I truly appreciate it," he said, his voice carrying a hint of reluctance. Pausing briefly, he pondered before adding, "Is there anything I can do for you?" His voice remained alluringly captivating, with a masculine undertone. His intense blue eyes locked onto Hera’s, reflecting a whirlwind of emotions that was difficult to ignore, even for her.
