’Did they really not know who Hera was? Or were they deliberately making these statents to catch her attention because they already suspected her identity as the Avery heiress?’ he mused silently before adding his own thoughts to the conversation.
"The Hendrix and the Avery have always shared a close relationship, so naturally, we, the Hendrix, will always stand by and protect the Avery," Leo said, his voice steady.
He paused for a mont, then added, as if emphasizing his point, "But above all, what’s most important to is this: anyone who dares to hurt my wife will have to answer to . I’ll fight to my last breath to ensure they suffer for what they’ve done."
Although no one fully understood why Leo said those words, it ca across more as a warning.

That villain was known for his cold, unyielding nature, like ice—ruthless and vindictive. He cared for nothing but vengeance, punishing those who caused harm to his wife, regardless of the ans.
His hatred for the world ran deep, for it was the world that had taken his love from him. He condemned everything and everyone in it.
Though Leo’s words were different, Hera couldn’t shake the feeling that the underlying ssage was the sa.
For a brief mont, she felt as though Leo was mirroring the villain from the novel—the greatest antagonist, capable of going to unimaginable lengths to destroy the male leads, the female lead, and anyone connected to the downfall of the Avery family.
Hera snapped out of her thoughts when Leo’s voice broke through. "Should we land sowhere first before heading to the Avery branch in disguise?"
She blinked a few tis, trying to process his suggestion. A lump ford in her throat as she glanced at her phone, having just received a ssage from Cindy.
It said that Vince’s assistant would be waiting for her at the office and was fully aware of her identity.
The problem was, it seed Leo and the others were planning to accompany her, which could complicate things.
"Um..." Hera began, her voice uncertain.
"I’ll reach out to the local authorities I know here and gather more information," Dave suggested.
He could tell Hera was in a tough spot, and it was clear that bringing the group along would complicate things.
Cindy had specifically asked Hera to help out, which ant she needed to operate undercover.
The issue didn’t just lie within the company—it might also involve corrupt officials working with soone to undermine the Avery.
Dave’s plan to connect with the local authorities was a necessary step to safeguard against any potential foul play from the governnt side.
As long as the Avery’s accounts were clean, there shouldn’t be any major issues.
"I’ll contact the other companies I’ve invested in to see if any local businesses are interested in acquiring the Avery branch or if there are any hostile competitors involved," Luke offered, reading between the lines and adding his support to lighten the load for Hera.
Since Vince was already in police custody, it was clear the investigation into the tax evasion and embezzlent was in motion. That ant they needed to move quickly as well.
"Then, I’ll coordinate with the Hendrix’s intel to dig deeper. I might also be able to tap into the Avery’s intel departnt, working alongside them to make it easier for both sides to uncover the truth and gather more evidence against the person trying to undermine the Avery," Leo said with a firm nod.
All of them were eager to help in any way they could, especially since they could see Hera’s determination to assist Cindy.
