Hera had anticipated that the male leads would gradually show their support for her as their affection grew, so Dave’s offer of help didn’t catch her off guard.
Recognizing Dave’s cunning nature, Hera saw this as a test of her limits. Her response to him would reveal her true worth. Aware of Dave’s shrewd and calculating personality, made her recalled how he fell in love with Alice in the novel—a woman with high emotional intelligence, which she demonstrated notably during the drugging incident.

So, following this outline, Hera looked up at Dave and smiled faintly before shaking her head. Her response only heightened Dave’s curiosity. It wasn’t that he doubted Hera’s capabilities, but he genuinely wanted to know if she had a plan to handle the situation. If not, he was prepared to step in and assist in resolving the issue.
And Hera knew too well that was what Dave thought because that’s how he helped Alice in the novel, although she helped Dave in a different way, the outco was still the sa. So Hera surmised that the storyline operated similarly to a simulation dating ga, where the female lead would be provided with various paths and each path would lead to different outcos but there was still so intersection where so outco would be the sa just so the story would continue to the next important scenes for the male and female lead to create their connection.
So interactions can lead to favor, but negative ones may result in disapproval and a decrease in interest. If this happens, the female lead may find herself in a challenging position, making it difficult to progress in the ga. Towards the end, she may struggle to et the interest requirents for certain male leads to beco her lover or enter into a specific relationship with her.
She also needs to consider that in a Sims dating ga, each love interest has their own preferences. When the female lead correctly identifies and approaches these preferences, their interest increases, allowing for greater tolerance of mistakes or presenting better options.
This is how she sees it and comparing how the storyline works with a dating sim seems more appropriate. However, the sequence is scattered as she attempts to alter her fate, potentially changing the destinies of others along with hers. Consequently, she anticipates a different sequence, but having this guide will undoubtedly aid her in navigating forward.
After gaining a clearer understanding of how the storyline unfolds, she responded to Dave with the polished tone of her custor service skills. "Don’t worry about it; my company’s managent is already addressing the matter effectively. I can see you’re dealing with your own challenges, and I didn’t want to add to your burdens with my issues. Your thoughts an a lot to though." She then flashed him with a bashful smile.
So parts of what she said were genuinely ant, especially when she expressed how much his thoughts ant to her. She hoped that the current feelings of the male leads were as sincere as their interactions with Alice in the novel, assuming the storyline truly operated like a dating sim. The only difference now was that the female lead was changing.
Now that she had gained a clearer understanding, her mind also cleared, as if the fog that had clouded her thoughts was dissipating, revealing a clearer path ahead that she needed to follow.
Noticing the subtle shift in her expression, Dave and Rafael exchanged a brief glance before turning back to her with a concealed sense of relief in their eyes. Despite their attempts to downplay it earlier, they all sensed that Hera had initially been distant and had ford a negative impression of them even before they t.
No one discussed it openly, but they sensed it in her subtle actions and glimpsed emotions that flashed across her eyes fleetingly. They all chose to feign ignorance, believing that, apart from Rafael, none of them had wronged her, and attributing her behavior to their association with him. They reasoned that ’birds of a feather flock together,’ after all.
And none of them harbored any resentnt towards her. This is also why Zhane requested Hera for equal opportunity without favoritism.
Now, they truly believe she will give them a fair chance to demonstrate their capabilities and sincerity without any preconceived biases. Rafael and Dave beca even more enthusiastic about serving Hera the food they believed she would appreciate.
Hera didn’t stop them either, feeling as though the boulder that had weighed on her chest for as long as she could rember had vanished. She felt a sense of relief and liberation as if the world around her had suddenly beco more vibrant and beautiful. Perhaps it was because the fear that had consud her mind had dissipated, leaving her with a clear goal in mind instead of re speculation.
Now she felt like she was finally making progress.
With renewed hope, she began serving Dave and Rafael as well, placing food on their plates. Logan and Sandra watched from the sidelines, almost forgotten in the pink bubble that enveloped Hera, Rafael, and Dave. They sensed it wasn’t the right mont to intervene.
And at that mont, Hera received the report she had been anxiously awaiting from Gerald—whether it was about the scandal or regarding the Lennons, either would suffice. It was crucial for her to begin executing her plan, as delays had persisted since the previous night, and she was certain the perpetrator behind this would persist in their attacks against her.
[Gerald: Young Miss, I received news that the person who sent the picture to one of the tabloids was well prepared, they used a VPN and fake IP address to avoid being tracked after sending and even erasing their traces but my people also said that Minerva tried to use SOE’s PR departnt to fan the fla again but her brother has given a clear order not to allow Minerva to used the PR departnt again without his knowledge or he’ll be firing the entire departnt which scared them and firmly refused but because of it, she hired trolls and water army to fan the fla.]
