"Ex-boyfriend? Why do you live with your ex? I apologize if this is getting personal; I’m just curious, but you’re not obliged to answer," Anna asked politely.
"It’s okay. Just like I said earlier, I pay for the rent, utility bills, and food. I had a boyfriend of 3 years. We decided to share a living space a year ago. While I cover the rent and such, he is saving up for our future ho and other essentials for his work," Hera explained, her voice tinged with emotion as she reminisced.
"His work? Does his job entail buying expensive items, leaving you to foot the bill for a luxury apartnt? Couldn’t you have rented a more affordable place? What made you choose this specific building?" The host’s tone grew angrier as she learned about Hera’s ex-partner allowing her to work excessively and cover expenses for an expensive apartnt. She was infuriated that such a man existed even though Hera did not speak badly of him. Even the viewers shared her indignation.
"Well, we chose this particular apartnt because of its exceptional security asures. My ex’s line of work is rather unique, and public opinion is crucial, so he always ensures he dresses the part, which ends up consuming a significant portion of his inco." Hera then offered a weak smile, her words tinged with an air of protection for her ex-partner. Despite her efforts, it was evident to everyone that she was shielding him, sparking further resentnt from the viewers, who grew even more curious about his identity.
"Then, did you guys break up because of the issues growing online? Is it alright for us to know why?"
The live broadcast turned silent, awaiting Hera’s answer.
Hera shook her head solemnly. "We parted ways because I discovered he was cheating on our third-year anniversary, which, coincidentally, fell on his birthday. It was also the day I was evicted from my apartnt. I recall seeing people taking pictures of as the woman he was cheating with instructed her bodyguards to throw out." Hera added with a tinge of bitterness in her voice.
At this point, the internet was buzzing with excitent. It didn’t take a genius to decipher Hera’s implications. Piece by piece, the puzzle was coming together. Even Anna, the host, seed to have reached the sa conclusion.
"In light of our show’s standards, evidence is crucial. Do you possess any proof of their affair that could clear your na?"
[Athena_Lowry: They must have staged the extre fan fiasco to fra Hera so that their cheating will be masked and hidden from the public!!!]
As usual, Athena strikes while the iron is hot. Her best friend had been slowly throwing information from when the interview started up until now, only a fool would not understand by now.
[Xoxo: Hey! Wasn’t it ntioned that Alexi’s birthday was the sa day this whole issue started? And wasn’t Sweet Dumpling, the one who said that it was Minerva’s bodyguards, who threw her out?]
[ImissMyBed: XOXOXO!!! It’s blowing out of proportion!!!]
[Auntienextdoor: Don’t tell , it’s the sa as the taphor ’the kettle calling the pot black’? They painted Hera as an extre fan while Alexi cheats with Minerva? O_O]
[Lalaland: Oh my! Oh my! But she hasn’t shown any evidence, if she has real evidence I’ll believe her.]
As if to answer their curiosity, Hera spoke. "Of course, I do have evidence."
Hera retrieved her phone from her mini bag and tapped on sothing. "I could give it to you if you’d like." She looked extrely harmless.
This sparked another discussion online, with many leaning towards believing Hera after her confident assertion of having evidence to back her claims. However, this presented a challenge for Minerva’s side.
By now, Minerva, watching the interview from her own room, was throwing things left and right, cursing Hera for having the audacity to stand up against her.
She called her brother to ask him to fix the issue she started. Despite being reprimanded, he still went ahead and contacted the producer of the show to imdiately stop the program. Additionally, he instructed his own PR team to deploy a water army to divert attention elsewhere and launch an attack on Hera instead.
No matter how many tis he rang the producer’s phone, he was consistently ignored. The producer knew who was calling, and under different circumstances, he might have eagerly accepted the call. However, with the show enjoying high viewer ratings and considering it was a personal mission from his CEO friend at UE, he felt emboldened to defy the CEO of SOE.
On the other side, Alexi was engrossed in shooting, he also delegated the task of buying a gift for Hera to his assistant. Consequently, he remained blissfully unaware of the unfolding events online.
Struggling to co to terms with Hera blocking him, he decided to take action. Purchasing a new spare phone with a different number, he hoped that Hera had cald down enough to hear him out.
After seizing a mont to catch his breath, he swiftly retrieved his phone and dialed Hera’s number, the digits ingrained in his mory even when his eyes were closed.
An unknown number flashed on Hera’s phone while she was tapping away for the evidence so she declined it, then it called again and again.
Observing Hera declining the unknown number, Anna interjected, "Why not answer the call? I’m sure even our viewers are curious about who’s persistently trying to reach you at such a critical mont."
Hera looked hesitantly at the cara but deep inside, she had an idea of who was calling her repeatedly. So when she answered the call, she made sure to put the call on speaker.
"Hello?" Her sweet voice resonated through the phone, instantly flooding Alexi’s mind with mories of their early days together. The sound of her voice stirred a longing within him, intensifying the ache of her absence over the past few days.
"Babe, it’s . Can you please unblock my number already?" His voice carried a note of pleading, tinged with a hint of desperation.
This single sentence sent shockwaves through everyone watching, igniting a storm of reactions. While many were convinced by the sincerity in Alexi’s voice, there were still skeptics who doubted, speculating that it might be a voice actor or a pre-recorded ssage.
"Sorry, I can’t talk right now." Hera’s voice sounded flustered.
"I only have a few minutes to talk since I’m still in the studio recording for my new drama. Please, just hear out," he coaxed, his tone pleading.
"Didn’t I make it clear that we have nothing left to discuss? We’re over," Hera hissed softly.
"Hera, please don’t leave , okay?" Alexi’s voice choked up. "I really do love you. You know my hands are currently tied, right?"
"You made your choice and I made mine." Hera exhaled deeply. "Besides, do you know that I’m in an interview right now?"
"So what?! I just want you to give ti to talk." His voice raised.
By now, everyone had already discerned the identity of the familiar voice emanating from the phone’s speaker, prompting even Minerva to furiously break things in her room as she attempted to dial Alexi’s number, only to find it in do-not-disturb mode, diverting her calls directly to his voicemail.
Hera’s heart raced with excitent, tempted to break into a victory dance right then and there. It was as if fate had intervened, sparing her the need to present the evidence she had painstakingly prepared for the interview. Instead, assistance had unexpectedly co from the very person at the center of it all.
Hera continued. "It was being aired live right now."
Silence hung heavy on both ends of the line, creating an eerie stillness that perated the place and echoed in the chat comnts. It seed that Alexi had now absorbed Hera’s words and was stunned in silence, before abruptly ending the call. The faint sound of a disconnection tone echoed from Hera’s phone speaker, confirming to everyone that he had indeed ended the call without a word.
[AlexiIsmyHubby: HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!! I have been Alexi’s fan since his debut, so I can recognize his voice even when he turns into dust!!!! That’s my Alexi!!!! I’m very fucking sure!!!! What’s going on?!]
[Auntienextdoor: It seems that Hera didn’t need to present any further evidence, as the individuals involved inadvertently incriminated themselves. It’s a classic case of actions speaking louder than words. Indeed, justice prevails, and cheaters receive their couppance. Nyahahaha!!!]
[AuntieIamYouDaughter: FUCK!!! I hate cheaters but not as much as mistresses!!! BURN IN HELL! I rembered my cheating ex who chose a sexy older woman! Bohoohoo T_T]
[IampasserbyGod: Auntie upstairs. It’s better for you but look at our Hera, only blind people will cheat on her. She’s already a Goddess!]
[Iam_superman: Bro upstairs, our Hera is really a Goddess but she can’t beat money. She already worked like a donkey to keep a man like Alexi but was still stolen by a rich heiress like Minerva, what can she do? Not unless she miraculously turned out to be a secret heiress of so kind, if such a miracle happened. I will SHIT myself laughing at Alexi’s stupidity. LOL LOL]
[Nanaismyna: Big bro upstairs, I can’t imagine what you said but Hera is indeed my Goddess little sister. I feel bad for her.]
