The Carter family’s sons were exceptional, and by comparison, Arthur was considered the most ordinary among them.

Although Arthur perford well academically throughout his life, he was sowhat overshadowed by Jaden and Brandon. He lagged behind Zayn and Alaric regarding physical fitness and athletic ability.

Furthermore, his calm, optimistic nature and lack of significant ambitions or desires for competition made his personality less striking.

After enrolling in university, Arthur dropped out after just one year to help his parents run a restaurant, which further gave the impression that he lacked ambition.

When asked about his dreams, he always responded, "Chasing ideals and fighting through life is too exhausting. I want to take it easy, eat well, sleep well, and live a life that isn’t too hard."

However, the Carter family knew well that Arthur must have his dreams. He was too gentle and considerate toward his family, rarely thinking of himself. He gave up his studies to stay by his parents’ side.

Over the years, he was the only one who consistently stayed with them, even during his ti in university, when he rarely stayed on campus but instead went ho to sleep and helped with household chores.

All his brothers felt ashad in comparison when it ca to filial piety. They also felt they fell short when it ca to being considerate and dutiful.

After the Carter family beca successful, everyone wished Arthur could leave to go wherever and do whatever he pleased, no longer having to sacrifice his ti for the family.

However, Arthur had beco accustod to staying at ho, and now, with money in hand, he didn’t even know where to enjoy himself.

It wasn’t until he t Nina that things began to change.

According to the Carter and Lloyd families, they were half "silly and sweet" together; they were a complete bundle. They shared a love for food, dreaming of tasting all the world’s delicacies.

Once they were together, they beca companions, and whether they were eating, drinking, or having fun, their enthusiasm and joy doubled. Initially, Nina enjoyed the food of Carter’s family so much that she didn’t want to leave.

However, after working at Carter’s Restaurant for a month, Nina was pressured by her family and had no choice but to ask Arthur, "My family heard that we’re together, and they insist I bring you ho so they can et you."

Arthur scratched his head and blushed, giving a silly smile. "But haven’t your parents t already?"

Love is genuinely remarkable. Arthur and Nina had only known each other for a month, yet they effortlessly ended up together, bypassing the usual struggles of most relationships—no crushes, hints, or drama. Their connection was like spring rain, quickly nurturing growth and blossoming naturally.

Nina continued munching on the rib from the Carter family’s restaurant, speaking with her mouth full. "My parents have t you, but my other relatives still haven’t t you."

Arthur was startled. "Other relatives? Are so many people interviewing?"

When Arthur was with Nina, they talked about everything without communication barriers. Although Nina was an only child, her family was large, with many relatives on both parents’ sides. Moreover, both families were extrely wealthy, making her adored.

The Lloyd family never pressured Nina to do anything, not even to work. Their only request was simple: "We’re not short on money. It’s fine if you relax. As long as you’re safe, healthy, happy, and not doing anything bad, that’s all that matters."

The Lloyd family didn’t force her, even regarding love and marriage. "If you et soone good and like them, then marry. If not, stay single for life. Either way, we can support you."

"Hello, Great-Grandpa. Nina says you’ve always been the one who spoiled her the most. I can already feel your kindness the mont I see you."

"Grandpa, Nina says your appetite isn’t great. My sister is a doctor, and after asking about your health, she specifically made a bottle of supplents for you. Don’t worry; these supplents have no side effects. Even if soone else takes them by mistake, they will be fine..."

"Grandma, this is our family’s smart wheelchair..."

After greeting everyone, Arthur smiled and said, "Dear elders, I know you have everything you could need, so I didn’t bring many gifts. Instead, I brought so of our family’s hogrown ingredients and made a al for all of you. I hope you don’t mind."

The elders exchanged glances, all secretly nodding in approval. They had heard of the Carter family’s famous farm and restaurant, and now, having the chance to try it for themselves, they were pretty eager. However, they were discussing themselves.

"He’s only in his twenties, so young. Can he make delicious food?"

"Nowadays, young people from well-off families—how many of them can calm down and patiently stay in the kitchen to learn how to cook?"

"Our family loves food—there’s nothing we haven’t tasted. Can the dishes he makes satisfy so many people?"

"Our family’s chefs are all experts, skilled in cuisines from all over. Can this young man cook better than our top chefs?"

While the elders chatted, they crowded around the kitchen door and windows, peering inside to see how Arthur was preparing the dishes.

Arthur started with the cold dishes and appetizers. He used only organic ingredients, which he brought from ho.

The vegetables, in particular, were either brought with the soil intact or freshly picked and imdiately stored in the most advanced preservation refrigerators. They were as fresh as if they had just been harvested when taken out.

Fresh fruits and vegetables only need simple preparation and seasoning. Arthur’s technique was clean, swift, and efficient.

In just half an hour, he had finished making dishes such as cobb salad, bruschetta, ceviche, and poke salad.

Nina assisted him, carrying each dish as it was finished and placing it on the dining table for the elders to taste.

After finishing the cold dishes, Arthur began preparing smoothies and strained yogurt, keeping an eye on the stove and finding ti to wash and chop items like sausage, bacon, ratatouille, beans, carrot sticks, cucumbers, and lemons.

As he cooked the strained yogurt, the subtle aroma of the yogurt, mixed with the tangy scent of the ingredients, wafted through the air. It made everyone nibble on the appetizers while sniffing, their mouths watering in anticipation.

Arthur prepared the chicken and fish after preparing the strained yogurt and ingredients. These were brought from Carter’s Farmland and usually reserved for their restaurant or high-end hotels; they were unavailable in the market.

His thod of preparing the chicken and fish was swift and gentle, ensuring they t their end without pain or even a single unsettling cry. The blood and scales from the chicken and fish fell neatly into the sink, never splattering, keeping the kitchen clean and tidy.

At an average pace of cleaning one every 10 minutes, he first prepared two chickens, placing them into two soup pots with the spring water he brought to make a chicken potpie.
