Avery stood at the side of the door after entering the study. When Catherine entered, she closed the door.
Catherine looked around the study and sat down on the leather chair. She put her left leg on her right leg and put on a sexy and elegant posture. She said with a smile, "Avery, why do you have a problem with ?"
Avery leaned against the window, crossed her arms, and looked at her calmly. "You acted like you were very good to our family in the past, but after Zilvia disappeared, you left. There has been no news from you for more than ten years.
"What right do you have to say that you treat the Carter family very well? Why do you think my family will be grateful or fond of you?"
Catherine, who did not expect her to bring up such a sensitive topic, was slightly stunned. Then, she looked straight at Avery. Catherine’s pupils suddenly constricted when she heard that. Shock flashed across her eyes, but her tone was calm and carried a hint of accusation. "Avery, how can you say that about ?
"After your mother gave birth to you and Zilvia, she was in a bad condition. I was the one taking care of Zilvia. I believe no one can go against their conscience and say that I didn’t take good care of Zilvia."
Catherine continued after a slight pause, "Also, you’re so knowledgeable. You should know how hard it is to take care of babies and children."
"Don’t you feel guilty for denying and distorting the fact that I took care of Zilvia?"
"It was indeed not easy for you to take care of Zilvia," Avery said calmly. "But this is how the investnt works. If you don’t want to invest in the early stages, how can you get a generous "It’s just that you were too successful in training Zilvia."

But Avery was unmoved by her tears or her grief. She continued speaking as if she hadn’t heard Catherine at all. "Zilvia was just five years old-a little girl who’d known nothing but a safe, peaceful life. She was well-fed, well-loved, and had never experienced hardship or pain."
"So tell , why would a child like that suddenly decide her ho life was boring? What could make her yearn for the glittering, bustling world outside?"
Catherine’s tears flowed freely now. "What are you trying to do? Take your anger out on ? Or are you just trying to show off how clever you are, like so kind of genius detective?"
Avery gave her a faint smile, calm and unbothered. "No matter how bright a child might be, her understanding of the world cos entirely from what she sees, hears, or experiences. Her thoughts are shaped by the boundaries of her knowledge."
