Jaden asked Luna to tell the paparazzi that he was willing to talk to them.

Luna understood that Jaden did this to make the paparazzi owe her a favor. She did not stand on ceremony and replied to them one by one. Soon, those paparazzi sent representatives to Rosemont City to see Jaden.

Jaden brought Ryan to et them in the private room of Carter’s Restaurant.

He only had two requests.

He wished them to apologize on their social dia account and explain the matter clearly. They must not be sarcastic or avoid the important points.

Secondly!

He wanted compensation. In the future, when he needed them to help him advertise or show rcy, they had to cooperate. Of course, they only needed to help him once. During this period of ti, the paparazzi were being scolded by the netizens. So of them even implicated the artists behind them. Their popularity had plumted.

They wanted to settle the matter peacefully and imdiately agreed. The two sides signed a letter drafted by Ryan. Subsequently, the paparazzi publicly apologized, and Jaden withdrew the lawsuit, forgiving them on their social dia accounts.

The storm passed just like that.

At the sa ti, Linda had co to Rosemont City to secretly investigate the Carter family. She first went to Viento Court to find out more about the Carter family.

An old man in the neighborhood told her, "The Carter family moved away a long ti ago. Mr. Carter is the CEO of the Bard Property. I heard that their family owns a restaurant, and their business is very good."

Linda’s heart turned even colder. "If the Carter family is aweso... I’d have no chance!"

With a suspicious heart, she drove to Bard Garden to take a look.

Bard Garden was no longer as dilapidated and deserted as it used to be.

So apartnts had been bought, and so people had moved in.

The roof of the second part had been sealed, and the business was offering food, clothing, household items, and entertainnt. The area was well-maintained, with plenty of greenery, clean streets, and nearly all the sidewalks freshly repaired.

Most of the shops in the district were altered, and the workers were painting the outer walls.

The third part was laying the foundation, and it looked popular.

Linda’s heart ached as she witnessed this. Under the pretense of inquiring about a house, she entered the office building of the Bard Property sales departnt, where she found Wesley.

Wesley wore a well-pressed, high-end suit that complented his slightly graying hair, which was neatly combed. He carried himself with a straight back and a strong physique, exuding a steady and generous presence. There was a natural warmth to his dignity; he lacked the greasy, overindulgent appearance often associated with success and instead embodied the capable and magnanimous deanor of a truly accomplished man.

The people who bought the apartnts also spoke highly of him, saying that he was a good leader.

They observed, and laughing.

Linda’s heart turned cold when she heard this... That night, she did not sleep at all.

The next day, she did not put on any makeup. With a haggard face and obvious dark circles under her eyes, she appeared at the entrance of Carter’s Restaurant and expressed that she must see Jaden. Otherwise, she would stay at the door and not leave. Arthur ran out to see her after calling his brother. He suppressed his anger and said, "There are many people here. If there’s anything, let’s talk in the back alley."

The two of them made a big detour and arrived at the corner of the alley behind Carter’s Restaurant. Linda cried and kept explaining to Arthur about her difficulties back then and how difficult it had been for her for the past three years.

Arthur did not say a word. He only used a hateful gaze to express his attitude.

Not long after, Jaden arrived. He looked at Linda without any warmth in his eyes. "I’m very busy. If you have sothing to say, say it quickly. I won’t wait for you."

Linda gritted her teeth and knelt down, scaring Arthur. Arthur quickly jumped to the side, not daring to let her kneel.

Jaden, on the other hand, was as steady as a rock. He put his hands in the pockets of his windbreaker and looked down at Linda. "What do you want?"

"Jaden, I... I am sorry," Linda said with tears in her eyes. "I won’t make such a mistake again. As long as you’re willing to withdraw the lawsuit, I’ll agree to anything."

Jaden said calmly, "If you agree on two things, I will withdraw the lawsuit.

"First, I want you to film a video to explain in detail how you took those photos and videos, and how you contacted those paparazzi to slander us and Luna."

He took his phone out of his pocket. His phone had been in a "recorded" state since just now.

Jaden said, "I’ll record all your confessions as evidence.

"If you continue to pester in the future, I will publicize the video and let everyone know how ugly your heart is."

Linda’s already pale face turned even paler.

"J-Jaden," she said in a trembling voice, "do you have to go this far?

"I’ve already paid you back the money I owe you. Can’t you rember what happened back then..."

"I have no feelings for you," Jaden interrupted her. "If you say another word of nonsense, I’ll leave imdiately.

"If you go to my restaurant to cry, throw a tantrum, and make a scene, I’ll invite internet celebrities to broadcast it live so everyone can witness the disgraceful behavior of a so-called noble lady from Hupool City."

Fearing his words, Linda was afraid. She had sacrificed her great love and youth to beco a noblewoman. She could not be reduced to a joke. Hence, she gritted her teeth. "I agree. What’s the second condition?"

Jaden was expressionless. "Disappear completely from my life with my family and never appear again."

Linda was silent for more than ten seconds. She gritted her teeth and said, "I accept it. I’ll listen to you!"

Now that Jaden had no more flaws, Linda couldn’t give up. But there was no need to rush. She had to get through the trouble first.

Back then, Jaden had also rejected her with a clear attitude. In the end, he was moved. She believed this ti, she could do the sa thing.

"Good." Jaden waved his phone. "I’ve started recording. You can start confessing."

Linda closed her eyes, tears welling up as she recounted how she had followed Jaden after spotting him, how she had chased him to Oxhorn Village, how she had uncovered Luna’s true identity, and how she had secretly taken photos and videos. Arthur gritted his teeth as he listened. He kept stomping his feet and waving his fists, wishing he could rush up and beat her up.

Jaden was very calm.

More than ten minutes later, Linda finished recounting the entire ordeal through tears. She assured them that she would no longer pester Jaden or the Carter family.

Jaden put away his phone. "I’ll withdraw the lawsuit tomorrow. You’d better keep your word."

He retracted his gaze and did not look at Linda again. "Arthur, let’s go."

Arthur left with him. He looked indignant. "Brother, are you going to let her off just like that?"

"What else?" Jaden said calmly. "We can’t beat her or kill her. Even if I win the lawsuit, the worst punishnt she can get is administrative detention.

"Rather than letting her harass after her detention, it’s better to get sothing against her."

"But a lawsuit can ruin her reputation!" Arthur stomped his feet. "Her husband’s family would know how bad she is and kick her out. That way, we can take revenge."
