"Miss Acevedo, you’re being dramatic," Anabel chuckled. "I’m a law-abiding citizen. I wouldn’t do sothing like that."

Instead of looking relieved, Madalyn pressed on with her questions. "You an ruin my looks? Lock up? Hire soone to take nude photos of ? Or leave disabled?"

Anabel laughed lightly. "Miss Acevedo, your imagination is quite vivid. But it’s not vivid enough." She sipped her coffee slowly. "For example, you might imagine that Alexander loves you so much that the Moran and Powell families wouldn’t dare to touch you, but they could go after the people around you. Of course, you could choose to live a solitary life, having nothing but Alexander. No family, no relatives, no friends, no colleagues, no servants, and so on. You can also picture everyone around you scheming against you, ensuring you never find peace, and so on."

Madalyn’s expression hardened, and she pursed her lips, remaining silent. Anabel poured out the cold coffee from Madalyn’s cup and filled it with hot coffee. Then she asked nonchalantly, "Miss Acevedo, can you agree to my terms?"

Madalyn didn’t think long before she replied bluntly, "Sure. But I have to ask, if I divorce Alexander after we get married or if I leave him after having his child, can those three conditions be nullified?"

Anabel smiled. "My conditions are non-negotiable."

Madalyn closed her eyes for a mont and then said calmly, "I understand. I’ll adhere to those three conditions."

"You’re indeed a clever one," Anabel smiled. "You can go now."

Without saying another word, Madalyn quickly left the coffee shop, got into her car, and drove away. No one followed her. Instead of returning to her previous apartnt, she checked into a hotel, sleeping soundly until dawn. Afterward, while taking a bath, she called Louis and recounted the details of her eting with Anabel.

Once Louis finished listening, he ended the speakerphone call and turned to Alexander. Alexander remained silent, walking to the window, hands casually tucked into his pockets, gazing down at the blue lake outside, deep in thought. Louis sat on the sofa, quietly tapping away on his laptop, not interrupting Alexander’s contemplation.

After about ten minutes, Louis felt it was ti and set down his laptop, poured a glass of champagne, and handed it to Alexander, softly asking, "Have you thought about how to handle this?"

Alexander had been openly socializing with his "girlfriend" recently, not just to express his stance to the Moran and Powell families, but also to test their boundaries. Only by understanding the families’ limits and reactions could Alexander make a more accurate judgnt.

Alexander slowly opened his eyes, took the champagne from Louis, and sipped it lightly. He asked, "What’s the Carter family up to these days?"

Louis responded as if he had always lived with the Carter family. "Wesley is the general manager at Bard Property. It’s been over a month since he took the position, and he’s performing exceptionally well. He’s professional, diligent, leads by example, gets involved at the grassroots level, empathizes with employees, and connects well with hoowners, rchants, construction workers, and partners. The entire company trusts him. Claire rented a 4,300 sq ft house on Hill Boulevard near Mid-Level Mountain Garden. She’s renovating it to open a private dining restaurant, and Arthur is still helping his mom start a business. Maria has joined Miss Yonder’s design studio as an intern in the jewelry design departnt. Jaden applied for a loan of 100 thousand dollars from a small bank to contract the village’s wasteland and abandoned hills, but unfortunately, he was denied because of his ex-girlfriend’s interference. The others are still busy outside and haven’t co ho yet."

Alexander lightly closed his eyes and slowly swirled his wine glass. "Contact Professor Cesar Bullock at Dichester Art College and find a way to have him accept Maria as a student, making her co to Kimore City once a week for special lessons."

Louis didn’t know why Alexander suddenly ntioned this and thought he wanted to please Avery, feeling pleased himself. "Got it. Dichester Art College is the best-specialized school in the country. Cesar is a leading authority in jewelry design and craftsmanship, enjoying a high reputation internationally. Many well-known jewelry designers and stylists have trained under him. Having him personally teach Maria would certainly make a huge difference in her progress."

Alexander continued, "Contact the bank and expedite the loan for Jaden, and increase the amount if possible."

Louis nodded. "Understood."

Alexander added, "If Wesley encounters any difficulties at the company, secretly help him out. Ensure he makes the company bigger and stronger. If possible, help him beco the owner of Bard Property."

It wasn’t that he looked down on Wesley, but rather that in big business, especially real estate, without sufficient resources and connections, relying solely on ability and effort wouldn’t lead to substantial growth. For soone capable and hardworking, receiving assistance from a benefactor was both reasonable and expected.

Louis nodded again. "Yes."

Alexander instructed, "Keep an eye on the Carter family and help them secretly wherever you can. Make sure the Carter family rises quickly."

Hearing this, Louis finally sensed that Alexander’s plans were not as straightforward as they seed. He replied with a simple "Yes," then adjusted his glasses and asked, "While helping the Carter family is our responsibility and duty, is there any deeper aning behind your sudden and forceful support for them?"

Alexander rotated his glass, staring at the liquid inside, and replied calmly, "The Moran family is just going after my fake girlfriend because they feel she doesn’t match. As long as the Carter family becos a truly wealthy family, the resistance from the Moran family will decrease. By then, dealing with the Moran and Powell families will be much easier."

He can protect Avery, and Avery has the ability to protect herself. Avery’s safety might not be a major concern. But behind Avery stood the Carter family. The mbers of the Carter family were ordinary people who had never truly entered so-called high society, nor had they experienced the ans of the wealthy. Alexander and Athen can shield the Carter family for a ti, but it doesn’t guarantee they could do so for a lifeti. Therefore, the Carter family must grow stronger. More importantly, if he wanted to be with Avery, Alexander must ensure she lived well, not putting her and her family in danger.

Louis exclaid, his eyes sparkling as he gazed at Alexander in admiration. "So your real plan is to help the Carter family beco a wealthy family for love?"

"So that’s it," he said, nearly wanting to kneel and worship Alexander, though Alexander was indifferent.

Louis said, "Mr. Moran, you’re so great. Truly amazing. I love you."

He had never considered such a notion. Such a thing wasn’t sothing just any big shot could accomplish. Probably only Alexander had such a mindset and capability.
