Derek POV
"Okay then, that’s fine. She will settle in just fine, believe ." I told the lady before . She was going to be my daughter’s teacher and she’s only trying to protect Nina.
"I am still wondering why you would want to change her school so fast. Did sothing happen or --"
"You’re asking too much questions. I want the best education for my daughter. What’s your problem?" I was starting to get offended by all that many questions from her. "I’m sorry, I didn’t an to overreact. It’s just that, I’ve heard a lot about this school. And the legacy that one of the Hernandez owns the school, it just helps settles my mind more. I know how much he cared about children."
I didn’t know shit. But still, I needed to co up with so excuse!
The lady frowned. "Is this about the law case that’s going on with you and Mrs Hernandez? This is so kind of political ga, isn’t it?"
I did not expect her to co up with that conclusion, but I didn’t care. "You’re right. I want things to look good on my end because there have been so misconceptions about , you see."
I was glancing through, watching every kid that ca by. I needed to see that young kid, and be friends with him. Learn about his family, stuff Tara was hiding from again.
"Well then, I won’t get involved with any drama. I just want what is best for my students. Which is why I would advise you to co back here when the principal cos back from his short trip." She said, "do you want to see Nina before you leave?"
"Oh that would be nice. Can I go to her class? I want to see the environnt." I was eager to see the little kid one on one.
"Sure. This way please," she led down the hall and in to the first room by the right. It was a decent area with little kids laughing and playing. Nina was already making friends so quick? That’s my girl. I smiled at her as she waved back excitedly.
"She’s fitting in already." The teacher said to and I nodded proudly. Then fixed my gaze to the class again, studying all the students. No one resembled the little kid I had seen the other day! Was I so stupid! I didn’t even do proper research as to what class he was in? I had just thought he would have been the sa age as Nina, so they would be in the sa class!
I was about to ask when soone ca running behind . "Derek! How could you!" I turned to see lissa sweating and crying.
What a dramatic woman. Really. "What is it, dear? You look troubled." I walked up close to her to pull her away but she rushed into the classroom, hugging Nina and causing a scene. I gestured she ca right with , so she did.
We were alone now and I did well not to raise my voice. "What was that? Why did you scare Nina like that? Did you see she was fitting in already?"
"How dare you! You selfish prick! I told you not to take her away from the school and you still did! God damn it, you know how worried I was when I realized that my daughter had been taken away from her class, when I had just dropped her off! I was so worried."
"Even after they probably told you she was taken by her father? What is wrong with you, lissa?"
"Derek, you should have told ! Everyone was looking at like I was so side chick! What kind of wife wouldn’t know when her kid was being withdrawn from her school? I was so worried." She ranted on about how I had worried her, repeating the sa shit all over again. "We have to withdraw her from her. That’s my final decision!"
This actually made chuckle. Damn it, I couldn’t stop laughing. "What is this, you think you have control over this? Your decision? Who cares about that?"
lissa’s face held a strong rage in it that I imagined her face would burst from all the heat in it. "What did I ever do to deserve a husband like you! How can you treat like this! Maybe Tara was lucky to have escaped from a beast like you!"
I tried to act like I wasn’t bothered by that, but damn, is that what she thought of ? Is that why Tara still hated my guts?
"Well then, divorce . Leave alone if I’m such a monster, why are you still with , lissa?" I loved toiling with her emotions like that. Ever since I found out her secret, I kept that as so kind of leverage in her. Reminding her who was still in charge. Besides, lissa couldn’t divorce if she wanted to.
First off, I would claim custody of Nina, secondly, there would be nothing like child support because Nina would be with . Lastly, lissa will beco poor as hell. I feed her, cloth her and her entire fifty sothing family and extended families. I was her god, and she knew she had to worship always.
"You promised not to use that to threaten , Derek." She was fidgeting now. I didn’t care, in fact, I was glad she was afraid. Next ti she would care to respect . "What is so important that you want Nina to be here? What’s your own secret?"
"I’ll be picking Nina off from now on. Just mind your business, and attend to your secret. Take your ti, heal, cheat on again, whatever I don’t care."
She blinked, shaking from fear. "Derek, I--"
"Get out of here, lissa." I turned and walked away from her. Now, I need to figure out who that little kid was, what class he was in. I guess I could try to ask nicely about Tara Aniston’s son. But I had to be careful because I wouldn’t want them to tell Tara again so she won’t take her son away from the school.
A tall figure bumped into , "Hey, sorry." His thick Australian accent was so noticeable to .
"Whatever--" I didn’t even bother to look back until I heard him say to a woman.
"Hello miss Jenna, I’m here on behalf of Tara Aniston,"
My ears extended to hear further.
"Oh Mr. Hernandez! Please co with , she has called already. It turns out Richard is down with a fever. I understand..."
Their voices trailed off but I was not ready to just miss out on that conversation!. I hurried forward to stop the man. "Mr. Hernandez? Are you...you’re the youngest child, aren’t you? Also, what are you doing talking about Tara?"
His tall stance was dominating, just so easily that I looked ridiculously small beside him! I hated that.
"And who are you supposed to be?" His question ca out as rude to . How dare this man?
