"Dry my hair for ."

The man sat down next to her, casually handing her a soft towel.

A faint scent of cool wood filled the air around her.

An Yan hurriedly took the towel. Struggling to control her racing heart, she unfolded the towel and draped it over his head.

The man’s hair was short, and the towel was quite absorbent, so after a quick toweling, it was already half-dry.

"Blow-dry it!"

"Okay."

An Yan obediently picked up the hairdryer, turned it on, and aid it at his head.

The whooshing cool air made Li Tianyao’s handso face darken. He reached out, took the hairdryer, helped her switch it to the warm air mode, and then let go of her hand.

His sudden grip and release on her hand nearly made An Yan lose her grip on the hairdryer.

Seeing the blast of air from the dryer aiming straight for his own collar, Li Tianyao could only raise a hand to redirect it, his mouth twitching.

"If you can’t manage, I’ll do it myself!"

"I can do it!" An Yan exclaid. Realizing she had been too loud, she quickly lowered her voice, "I know how to dry hair."

After saying that, she recalled the blast of cool air from before and imdiately felt so embarrassed she wished a crack in the floor would open up and swallow her.

"I’m sorry, Ninth Master. I’ll definitely adjust the temperature properly next ti before I dry your hair!"

"What did you call ?" The man frowned.

"Ninth Master?"

The man’s voice suddenly turned cold. "Think carefully. What should you call ?"

"Li Tianyao?"

"Drop the surna!"

"Tianyao?"

"Mm."

Satisfied, Li Tianyao took the hairdryer from her and casually ruffled her hair.

"Rember this, and don’t call incorrectly again!"

"Oh."

"Ready to rest?" Li Tianyao glanced at his own large bed.

"Okay."

An Yan got up and, without a second’s hesitation, headed for the door. Only when she reached it did she suddenly turn back, looking confused.

"Where do I sleep?"

Li Tianyao smiled a little and patted his bed.

An Yan’s eyes widened.

"You don’t have a guest room here?"

"You want to sleep in the guest room?"

An Yan nodded silently. It has to be the guest room!

"Next door!"

"Okay!"

Watching the little girl flee as if escaping, the man unconsciously toyed with the Buddha Beads in his hand again.

A faint regret flashed in his deep, amber eyes. A seductress should try every ans to stay by his side to better carry out her sches.

The little girl ran faster than a rabbit; clearly, this had nothing to do with being a seductress.

Could she really just be here to take care of him?

As soon as An Yan returned to the room next door, she darted into the bathroom.

So embarrassing! she thought. I actually spaced out just now, and all over a patient who’s just a bit handsor than average?

With that thought, An Yan’s emotions instantly settled.

She was a doctor, he was a patient!

Once she had this role fixed in her mind, her thoughts naturally shifted to how to treat him.

After showering, An Yan was back to her normal research mindset.

She took out her phone, opened the docunt, reviewed her previous plan, set an alarm for two in the morning, and then went to bed with peace of mind.

「Later」

Lao Xiao drove to a hotel near Luocheng University.

Without waiting for An Shing to speak, he got out of the car and took down her suitcase.

By the ti An Shing got out of the car, Lao Xiao didn’t delay for a second. He quickly got back into the driver’s seat and sped off, as if afraid An Shing would pester him if he hesitated.

Lao Xiao now felt he had thoroughly seen through this mother and daughter.

They usually acted magnanimous and kind, but when it ca down to it, they were truly ruthless.

That staircase was so steep! Bai Xiaoyun had directly jabbed the back of his knee. If Miss An Yan hadn’t supported him, he, Lao Xiao, would probably be reporting to the Yellow Springs by now.

And this An Shing! She clearly colluded with Bai Xiaoyun to steal the forr madam’s belongings, yet when leaving, she had the audacity to expect the Young Master to give her money!

Truly shaless!

Seeing Lao Xiao leave so quickly, as if afraid of being contaminated, An Shing, furious, kicked the nearby trash bin.

An Shing cursed inwardly, "Bastards! They’re all bastards!!"

Ever since they ca to this family, Mother started bribing these servants.

Which one of them hadn’t benefited from her and Mother? Yet now that they were in trouble, not a single servant was willing to step up and help!

I’m so furious!

Still fuming, An Shing kicked the bin again.

"Who the hell...?"

Behind the trash bin, a drunk hoodlum, who had been sleeping soundly, was startled awake by An Shing’s kick.

Through bleary eyes, he saw a beautiful, richly dressed young girl losing her temper—clearly a young lady from a wealthy family.

The hoodlum’s eyes darted about, and he staggered to his feet.

"Little sister, who made you angry? Tell your big bro, and I’ll get revenge for you!"

An Shing felt nauseated at the sight of him and shot him a cold glance.

"Scram!"

The hoodlum was furious. Alcohol emboldens even the timid, and he wasn’t timid to begin with.

Taking advantage of An Shing turning her back, he snatched her suitcase and ran off.

An Shing: "..."

The thought that her entire fortune was inside made her forget everything else. She imdiately gave chase.

As she ran, she shouted, "He’s got the Silver Hidden Bag! Catch him!!"

Her shout reopened the wound on her tongue, causing it to gush blood.

She gasped in pain.

Watching the hoodlum get further and further away, An Shing burst into tears on the spot.

Why? An Shing wailed internally. Why does everyone have to bully ?

I’m already so pitiful! What more do they want from ?!

Just as the hoodlum was making his escape, a woman suddenly blocked his path. She wore a slim-fit orange trench coat and a black beret, her makeup ticulously, almost excessively, applied.

When the hoodlum saw her face, he instantly cowered.

"M-Miss Bai? G-good evening!"

Bai Zhi said coldly, "Drop it and scram!"

The hoodlum scrambled away.

With tear-blurred eyes, An Shing looked at Bai Zhi, who seed like a savior, and pouted pitifully, "Cousin!"

Bai Zhi took out a tissue with disdain. "Stop talking. Haven’t you embarrassed yourself enough?"

An Shing took the tissue and wiped her mouth repeatedly.

"I’ll arrange a place for you to stay and give you money to continue your studies. But I want you to kill An Yan for !"

"What?"

An Shing knew Bai Zhi hated An Yan. No woman would be lenient with soone who had ruined her engagent ceremony.

But taking a life... An Shing still didn’t quite dare.

She gaped foolishly, not making a sound.

Bai Zhi’s expression showed disgust again. "If you don’t dare to do it, then there’s no need for to help you!"

After saying this, Bai Zhi turned to leave.

An Shing quickly grabbed the hem of her coat.

"I dare!"

An Shing hated An Yan to death. If it weren’t for her, she would still be the eldest young miss of the An Family, cherished by her father, mother, and elder brother.

Besides, she and An Yan were now sworn enemies.

Whether she wanted to deal with An Yan or not, An Yan probably wouldn’t let her off.

After all, they still had that thesis competition!

An Shing’s expression suddenly fird. An Yan, you forced to do this!
