The monster, noticing the commotion outside, lazily shook its head.

And it was at this mont that Matsumoto Mina suddenly made her move, releasing the power that had been restraining the creature.

The instant it was freed, the monster sprang to its feet, crashing through the glass and charging out, heading straight for Matsumoto Saori!

Matsumoto Saori was frozen in fear, her face drained of color, rooted to the spot.

Miyamoto Kan, who was watching them from a distance, his expression changing, sprinted towards them.

However, he had run less than three ters when the monster’s claw struck Matsumoto Saori’s head.

BANG!

Matsumoto Saori’s body was slamd against the wall by the creature.

Then, it slid down the wall to the floor.

Miyamoto Kan frowned slightly, a faint confusion flashing in his eyes.

There wasn’t a single trace of blood on Matsumoto Saori’s body, from start to finish.

This wasn’t normal!

No sooner had he thought this than Matsumoto Saori’s body, now lying on the floor, suddenly changed.

It turned into a piece of thin paper!

Miyamoto Kan was stunned for a few seconds, then he suddenly laughed!

Amidst the chaos around him, the monster’s attack had left everyone facing a critical problem: escape!

The laboratory was in utter disarray—screams, running footsteps, cries of pain from collisions with equipnt, and the clatter of falling instrunts...

The monster, drawn by the sounds, charged haphazardly in all directions.

Everyone was fleeing, completely unaware of Miyamoto Kan’s actions.

As for Matsumoto Mina, she initially felt nothing.

If she had dared to let the monster out, she naturally had a way to get it back in.

But when she saw Matsumoto Saori’s body suddenly turn into a blank sheet of paper, her complexion changed.

She had been tricked!

That Matsumoto Saori had been deliberately used to distract her!

And why would soone use Matsumoto Saori to attract her attention?

The only explanation was a feint, a decoy!

Who would want to lure her, this tiger, away from her mountain?

An Yan! It could only be An Yan!!

In just a mont, Matsumoto Mina had figured out many things.

An Yan knew that Li Tianyao was in my hands.

So she created this puppet of Matsumoto Saori.

Ever since my return to Country R, Matsumoto Saori had openly started targeting , forbidding from coming to the lab.

But in reality, An Yan just wanted to force back to my own place.

She also realized she seed to have been tracked, but at the ti, she hadn’t thought much of it, confident that whoever was following her couldn’t keep up.

Clearly, that wasn’t confidence; it was arrogance!

An Yan would only use such a decoy tactic if she already knew I had confined Li Tianyao at my place.

To buy ti, An Yan even used this fake Matsumoto Saori to provoke into losing control and releasing the monster.

Heh.

It had to be said, An Yan had indeed calculated every move with precision.

But did she think releasing the monster would keep trapped and preoccupied here? She was sorely mistaken!

Realizing all this, Matsumoto Mina was in no mood to care about the lives of those staff mbers—she only wanted to leave as soon as possible!

Teleportation Charm!

Just as she was about to reach for the Teleportation Charm, Miyamoto Kan suddenly whistled.

The monster, which had been tearing at a researcher, suddenly turned and charged at him.

And Matsumoto Mina was right between him and the beast.

"Miss Mina!"

Kirihara Ichiro, witnessing this urgent scene, recklessly rushed over and stood in front of Matsumoto Mina.

She trusted as her confidant, and now it’s ti for to repay her kindness!

Matsumoto Mina watched the monster charge towards her, and the fear of death made her quickly bite the tip of her finger, activating the Teleportation Charm.

In the blink of an eye, she had teleported outside the door.

anwhile, Kirihara Ichiro was unsurprisingly seized in the monster’s jaws.

As the monster picked him up, he saw Matsumoto Mina running out.

Before he could feel any relief, he saw Matsumoto Mina furiously pressing the door close button!

This laboratory was of the highest security level.

The door was the only way in or out.

If it were closed, there would be only one path left for everyone inside: a dead end!

All thirty-plus researchers inside... was Miss Mina not even going to try to save a single one?

Kirihara Ichiro stared in disbelief, yelling, "No, don’t..."

Don’t close the door!

But the door still closed!

Even before it did, one of his colleagues had already reached the door.

But Matsumoto Mina kicked him back inside.

Kirihara Ichiro’s last thought before dying was: Why did I run to save this woman?

If I hadn’t gone, she wouldn’t have had ti to pull out her Teleportation Charm. She wouldn’t have had the chance to teleport out and wouldn’t have been able to close the door. Maybe more of my colleagues could have survived!

Regrettably, there’s no cure for regret in this world!

Kirihara Ichiro’s body was slamd to the ground by the monster, then stomped on, crushed into a bloody pulp.

The monster twisted its enormous head, searching for moving targets.

Miyamoto Kan pressed himself against the wall, motionless, even controlling his breathing to the smallest possible degree.

The monster, unable to find a living creature after circling a few tis, was attracted by the flashing lights on the control panel.

It raised its claws and smacked the control panel. It was unclear which button it hit, but the panel exploded with a bang, blowing a hole in the floor.

And below the floor was the ninth sublevel!

Seeing movent below, the monster excitedly jumped down...

WHOO~ WHOO~

After the alarms on the eighth sublevel went off, the alarms on all other levels followed.

"What’s going on!"

Matsumoto Yuki glared at the monitor displaying the infernal scene on the eighth sublevel. "How did that thing get out! Where’s Mina?"

"Miss Mina is fine; she escaped," the assistant said, pointing to one of the screens.

Before Matsumoto Yuki could see, a crackle of electricity sounded, and the monitors went dark one by one!

Chaos erupted outside, and Matsumoto Yuki’s bodyguard began banging on the door. "Minister, there’s been an accident! We need to evacuate imdiately!"

Only then did Matsumoto Yuki co to his senses. With its formidable combat ability, the monster won’t be confined to the eighth sublevel for long.

"Damn it! What exactly did Mina do? Why is that monster out of control?" Matsumoto Yuki cursed as he ran.

As soon as he left his office, he saw Matsumoto Mina.

She was being stopped by Matsumoto Takuma and Kato Takeshi.

"Miss Mina, please, my son is still down there! Please go and bring him up!"

"Mina, where’s Saori? Wasn’t she supposed to go down with you? Where is she?"

Matsumoto Yuki also rushed over. "Mina, nothing can happen to Saori! You must go down and bring her up imdiately!"

Matsumoto Mina laughed at that mont. "Saori is dead! Dead through and through. It was because of her that the creature went berserk on the spot—all because of her!"

On reflection, Matsumoto Mina understood. My emotions, even my calculations, have always been manipulated by An Yan! Even that monster... An Yan sched for to release it myself!
