[KIA]
[Hours earlier]
The human lands were not as far as Queen Kia had imagined.
If anything, it was just another palace that she could go to. Perhaps it was because the petals had made it easier or maybe it was because, for the first ti since she had ascended the throne, she had co to this place.
There was sothing about these lands, sothing about them that scread ho. She was a werewolf and yet the werewolf realm never felt like ho for her. It was like sothing was missing, a part of her that she didn't know about.
On so days she always forced the thought that her amnesia had fucked things up, and et she loved ssing around with the Savasci knights; even if that pissed them off.
It was also on the list of things that the werewolf queen had done that never made sense to her or even the people around her. She had managed to get the Savasci knight to hate her, and yet even then, she still felt like that didn't matter.
It was almost like the nights were like a part of ho for her, only that ho was never in the werewolf realm.
"Have I ever co to this side of the realm, Kadiam?" The queen asked her protector who looked at Dumi's wedding whether this was a ti for the truth or if they could hide everything behind the amnesiac farce.
Shit would go down and it was just a matter of ti, but was it the kind that could give Kadiam and Dumi peace, or the kind that would fuck them up tenfold?
"Not that I know of, your majesty. Your life before being the queen is restricted even to us, your protectors. We cannot say much about it, because we don't know much about it," Kadiam said and the queen stared at him skeptically.
It was like she was trying to check if he was lying to her. Stay tuned with My Virtual Library Empire
Maybe Kadiam was, but then maybe he wasn't because frankly they truly didn't know what this woman's life was like. They only knew that she was the only person who could sit on the throne and have the crown without triggering years and years of war.
It was a strange gamble really because they had never once questioned the fates, so this was to them a new adventure too. If the queen had co to this side, then it had to be with the one that couldn't be nad, not that there was much they could do about it at this point in ti.
"I see… I'm hungry. Let's go to the nearest cafe and eat," Queen Kia said, shocking herself and her guards. They had never seen her try anything other than the food that she conjured herself and ate on her own with the woman in the palace.
Other than that, she had never eaten any food from the palace, because she didn't trust anyone. Funny how she was the one with amnesia and had managed to deal with the madness that ca with her sitting on the throne of Olyana.
"I'm sorry, what?" Kadiam asked, clearly not understanding the queen.
"Follow , I'll show you sothing," they said and they stared at her worriedly.
"Are your mories back, your majesty?" Dumi dared to ask, even though a part of him wasn't sure what the fuck they were even doing.
This was probably going to be the last ti that the lot of them were seen here, which was why it was stressing them out really badly. The woman had never stepped out of the palace and now she was suddenly familiar with the human lands?
What kind of madness was that?
"No, they are not. But I have a feeling that the direction we are headed has so good food. Call it instinct or maybe it's just my muscles moving on their own to take to a familiar place.
"Let's see what it will be like, yeah?" Queen Kia said and Kadima knew that he couldn't stop this from happening.
For three hundred years they had controlled the narrative. For three hundred years they had played the amnesia ga and done everything that could help Kia move on and yet the hundred years later, it was like fate was done playing the gas with them.
They had known that it was dangerous, going in, but it was sothing that they couldn't deny, a command from the goddess and a wish from the one person who had been loved by many.
There had been so many blanks and even the fact that Malika was never to be told shit about the queen and yet even then, Kadiam had kept that part of the bargain. It never made any sense and right now, all their hard work would normally go down the drain.
Then again, love was never to be caged and they all already knew that the mate bond had never been cut. It was just a matter of ti, but fuck the timing because all of this wasn't making any sense. Or maybe Kadiam was freaking out for nothing, no?
"Okay, your majesty. Let us take the lead and prepare the way for you," Dumi said and the queen just laughed earnestly, surprising the thigh guards who stopped in their tracks. They had never heard the werewolf laugh. What the hell was in the human air today?
"Did you just… laugh?" Kadiam asked, careful not to sound like he was questioning the woman who had more power than he would ever have in any lifeti. This was getting crazier and Kadiam was already breaking a cold sweat.
"Relax. And change your attire to blend in. Be like normal people. I'll go in first and then you will follow like a group that just ca to eat for so activity, alright? And do not growl or make any uncomfortable noises.
"No magic is to be used, and be kind to the waiters or I'll have your heads as soup," Queen Kia said heartily as her warriors did what she had commanded them. Hell, even she had changed her attire because she wanted to blend in.
For soone who had never been to the human lands, she was really so sure of where she was headed and too familiar with the symptoms.
For a mont the warriors wanted to call the bluff and say that their queen was playing with them, but the confusion on her face each ti she talked was never to be ignored. She was new to everything and it scared her too.
Kadiam could sense her fear and worry, even though she was trying to pretend to be strong. But even she knew that she wouldn't be that strong. Perhaps that was why she walked in ahead of them.
"Hi! It's good to see you again… What will you have today, Mrs. Hawi?" a vice interrupted Queen Kia's line of thoughts, making her stare at the human before her. She wasn't sure what the fuck was going on at the mont, but it was not what she had expected.
"You know ?" Kia asked, not sure what in the world was going on here. The human looked so happy to see her again and it gave her skills.
"Of course, your photos are on the restaurant's most beautiful couple corner for years now," the human said excitedly and Kia froze. She wasn't sure what was happening, but she sure as hell was curious.
She had never thought a human would know her, but it seed there was always going to be more than she was aware of. At first, it creeped her out, but then she saw it as a chance to get to know her past better.
"You're not human, are you?" she asked softly and the woman nodded excitedly.
"Of course not. I'm a fae, but my na is Thando. I've been working here for so many years that I lost track of ti, but I could never not rember your face and that of your beautiful protective wife.
"I served you and your wife on your anniversary around three hundred and five years ago, and you were the nicest wolves to co through that door. By the war, where is Ms. Hawi? You didn't co with her today?" the Fae, Thando added and Kia sighed internally.
"Uh… she's ho. And I'll have what you served us that ti with Hawi, it's been a while since we ca to this side. anwhile, could you please show the photo you're talking about?" Kia asked as nicely even though she was a nervous wreck.
The blast from the past wasn't what she had imagined and it scared her, truly.
"Of course, Mrs. Hawi. It would be my greatest pleasure to serve you again. Co along, I'll show you," the fae said and Kia followed her, only to stop right in front of a huge photo of herself and a woman she had seen in the woman she left back at the palace.
The caption on the photo had her tears free-falling uncontrollably.
"In every lifeline, you will always be my beautiful baby, my princess, my light and greatest love. I won't ever love another but you, my precious Ruru, my anchor to the good. And in our immortally bound love, I hope I stay deserving of your unconditional love.
"Thank you, my sweet love, for teaching what love is, and letting love you with all my flaws. I wouldn't wish for another but you, my Ruru. In love and life, I will forever love you without hesitation… Hawi."
Kia stared at the photo and she couldn't deny that she had been happy. However, all of this just left her with more questions. Whoever this Hawi was, she had to have been a force to be reckoned with if she liked Kia this much.
'But who is Hawi? Where is she?' Kia asked herself.
