"I always thought they would marry Sisi to , so I’ve liked playing with Sisi since we were young. Sisi is kind and really the only person who’s been good to in this world. But later on, I found out they truly didn’t need Sisi; the person I’m supposed to marry is you!" Zhou Ju’an reached out and touched her face, "Even though I like Sisi, I want a family more! This family doesn’t need her; it needs you! As long as you treat well in the future and be a good wife, I’ll treat you well too, okay?"
Desperation was written all over Zhou Ju’an’s eyes. Li ngru smiled slightly, "Zhou Ju’an, you’re really pitiful!"
"In this world, who isn’t pitiful? That’s why I’m trying to find a way to make myself a bit happier! The Li Family needs , and conveniently, I need this family!" Zhou Ju’an said calmly, "Even though I regretted sending Sisi to Lu Beiyao, now I’m grateful that when I went back, I was locked out by Lu Beiyao! If I didn’t have the Li Family, and Sisi didn’t like , then I would be truly pitiful!"
When Lu Beiyao returned, he heard a servant reporting to Mr. Li: "The second Miss just ca back; she went straight to her room."
"Go get her to co here!" Mr. Li said angrily.
"We called her, but you know, if the second Miss doesn’t co out, there’s nothing we can do. No one else knows the password to her room."
Lu Beiyao frowned slightly. If he rembered correctly, that day when Zhou Ju’an returned, he directly entered by pressing the password to open the door.
Lu Beiyao went straight in and asked, "You said Sisi’s room password, what’s going on with that?"
Though Li ngru had once told him that Li Siru changed the lock to avoid harassnt from family mbers, he still asked again as if to confirm, "No one really knows the password to her room?"
The servant looked troubled, and Mr. Li replied, "That girl is quite willful. If I didn’t rember she is my granddaughter, sotis I would wish to just break the window to get in!"
Lu Beiyao swallowed, "I have things to attend to today. Since she’s in her room and doesn’t want to co out, I’ll co another day then."
After saying so much to her just now, he also didn’t know what he should say to her upon seeing her.
"Then, you talked with ngru..."
"There’s nothing more to say!" Lu Beiyao replied indifferently, "Though I am surprised she wants to marry Zhou Ju’an."
The voice of Li ngru claiming she was frad still echoed in his heart, as if sothing was about to happen!
"If you won’t marry her, we must find a reliable person for her!" Mr. Li sighed.
Lu Beiyao nodded, then exchanged pleasantries and left.
His words kept echoing in Li Siru’s mind; he no longer believed in her!
She naïvely thought there was finally soone in this world who unconditionally believed in her, but he still doubted her.
She couldn’t help but bury her head in the blanket and cry softly.
She didn’t get up until it was ti for dinner.
Late into the night, there was suddenly a knock at the door. Li Siru woke from her dream in shock, wobbled over to open the door, and saw it was Li ngru, coming fully awake.
"Sisi, I need to talk to you." In the enveloping night, Li ngru seed almost as if she were disappearing.
Seeing her like this, Li Siru couldn’t help but purse her lips, unsure what feelings to face her with.
