Li ngru turned over to lie flat, and Li Siru just chuckled, snuggling closer to her. She hugged Li ngru’s arm and said softly, "Sister, you’re so good!"
Li ngru looked down at her. In the pitch-black night, she couldn’t see anything, only felt her rubbing against her arm repeatedly, which tickled her a bit. Li ngru couldn’t help but laugh, turning over to stop her, "Alright, stop moving, why are you still like this as when you were a child?"
She had always been this mischievous as a child. Li ngru sighed with a smile, moving a bit closer to her as well, "Sisi, can I ask you a question?"
"What’s up?" Li Siru’s voice was tinged with a bit of drowsiness. She was soone who could fall asleep as soon as she hit the pillow, and considering she had work tomorrow, she naturally wanted to sleep.
"What do you think of Lu Beiyao?" Li ngru asked softly.
"He’s pretty good." She seed really sleepy, responding casually.
Li ngru nudged her, "What does pretty good an? You’re the observer, Sisi, do you think it’s good for your sister to marry him?"
"Aren’t you guys getting engaged? Why still ask such a question?" Perhaps being disturbed had frustrated her sowhat.
Li ngru continued, "You know your sister has always been a bit aloof. Plus, as an heir, I have to learn a lot of things and basically have no friends. I’ve heard that many girls let their close friends make decisions when they find soone they like. I don’t have a close friend, only a younger sister. So, tell , what do you think of Lu Beiyao?"
She turned slightly, half-supporting herself to look at Li Siru, who was still maintaining her sleeping posture, "The eldest son of the Lu Family, with background and talent, handso and good-looking, quite a match for Sister!"
"You really think so?" Li ngru asked with a smile, "You make Lu Beiyao sound so outstanding, then... would you like soone like him?"
Li Siru turned over, hugging the pillow and lying on her stomach. It seed more comfortable and secure that way, "Of course, there will be people who like outstanding individuals."
Li ngru’s heart gave a little jolt, then she heard her continue, "However, there are so many outstanding people in the world. I just believe that the person my sister likes must be very outstanding. As for , the person I like doesn’t need to be very outstanding. He just needs to trust unconditionally..."
Her voice grew softer and softer, as if she was truly about to sleep.
Li ngru smiled faintly, because he was soone she liked, and therefore she thought he was outstanding. However, there are so many outstanding people, so she’s not interested in outstanding people?
"Sisi, Sister believes you’ll find soone who trusts you unconditionally." She lay on the bed, seemingly talking to herself.
Li Siru suddenly replied, "Hmm, only an outstanding person can match Sister."
Her voice was soft and light, as if she was talking in her sleep. Li ngru breathed a sigh of relief. She and Lu Beiyao had been classmates for so many years and she had never seen Lu Beiyao fail to accomplish sothing. Whatever he did, he seed to handle perfectly with ease.
To her, he was like the brightest star in the night sky.
"Sisi, are you asleep?" Li ngru asked softly, but there was no response from the person beside her.
Yet she continued, "The first ti I t Lu Beiyao was actually in the marketplace. I went with Grandpa to YT to discuss matters. But instead of Uncle Lu, it was Lu Beiyao who greeted us. He was still young back then. Grandpa initially felt that the Lu Family didn’t value us, but Lu Beiyao resolved everything easily with just a few words, clear and to the point. Grandpa was greatly impressed at that ti. I thought, ah, this man, it’s him! So later on, I transferred schools to be with him and even applied to study abroad at the sa institution as him."
Li ngru spoke of these things with a smile on her lips.
